1 ' "The Lord Yahweh says this: The east gate of the inner court must be kept shut for the six workingdays. On the Sabbath day, however, it must be opened, as also on the day of the New Moon;	1 כה אמר אדני יהוה שער החצר הפנימית הפנה קדים יהיה סגור ששת ימי המעשה וביום השבת יפתח וביום החדש יפתח
2 and the prince must go in through the porch of the outer gate and take his position by the doorposts ofthe gate. The priests must then offer his burnt offerings and his communion sacrifice. He must prostrate himselfon the threshold of the gate and go out, and the gate must not be shut again until the evening.	2 ובא הנשיא דרך אולם השער מחוץ ועמד על מזוזת השער ועשו הכהנים את עולתו ואת שלמיו והשתחוה על מפתן השער ויצא והשער לא יסגר עד הערב
3 The people of the country must prostrate themselves in the presence of Yahweh at the entrance to thegate on Sabbaths and days of the New Moon.	3 והשתחוו עם הארץ פתח השער ההוא בשבתות ובחדשים לפני יהוה
4 The burnt offering offered to Yahweh by the prince on the Sabbath day must consist of sixunblemished lambs and one unblemished ram,	4 והעלה אשר יקרב הנשיא ליהוה ביום השבת ששה כבשים תמימם ואיל תמים
5 with an oblation of one ephah for the ram, and such oblation as he pleases for the lambs, and a hin ofoil for every ephah.	5 ומנחה איפה לאיל ולכבשים מנחה מתת ידו ושמן הין לאיפה
6 On the day of the New Moon it must consist of an unblemished young bull, six unblemished lambs andone unblemished ram,	6 וביום החדש פר בן בקר תמימם וששת כבשם ואיל תמימם יהיו
7 when he must make an oblation of one ephah for the bul and one ephah for the ram, and what hepleases for the lambs, and a hin of oil for every ephah.	7 ואיפה לפר ואיפה לאיל יעשה מנחה ולכבשים כאשר תשיג ידו ושמן הין לאיפה
8 "When the prince goes in, he must enter by the porch of the gate, and he must leave by the same way.	8 ובבוא הנשיא דרך אולם השער יבוא ובדרכו יצא
9 When the people of the country come into the presence of Yahweh at the solemn festivals, those whohave come in by the north gate to prostrate themselves must go out by the south gate, and those who havecome in by the south gate must go out by the north gate; no one must turn back to leave through the gate bywhich he entered but must go out on the opposite side.	9 ובבוא עם הארץ לפני יהוה במועדים הבא דרך שער צפון להשתחות יצא דרך שער נגב והבא דרך שער נגב יצא דרך שער צפונה לא ישוב דרך השער אשר בא בו כי נכחו יצאו
10 The prince will be with them, coming in like them and going out like them.	10 והנשיא בתוכם בבואם יבוא ובצאתם יצאו
11 "On feast days and solemn festivals the oblation must be one ephah for every bul , one ephah forevery ram, what he pleases for the lambs, and a hin of oil for every ephah.	11 ובחגים ובמועדים תהיה המנחה איפה לפר ואיפה לאיל ולכבשים מתת ידו ושמן הין לאיפה
12 When the prince offers Yahweh voluntary burnt offerings or a voluntary communion sacrifice, the eastgate must be opened for him, and he must offer his burnt offerings and his communion sacrifice as he does onthe Sabbath day; when he has gone out, the gate must be shut after him.	12 וכי יעשה הנשיא נדבה עולה או שלמים נדבה ליהוה ופתח לו את השער הפנה קדים ועשה את עלתו ואת שלמיו כאשר יעשה ביום השבת ויצא וסגר את השער אחרי צאתו
13 Every day he must offer an unblemished lamb one year old as a burnt offering to Yahweh; he mustoffer this every morning.	13 וכבש בן שנתו תמים תעשה עולה ליום ליהוה בבקר בבקר תעשה אתו
14 Every morning in addition he must offer an oblation of one-sixth of an ephah and one-third of a hin ofoil, for mixing with the flour. This is the oblation to Yahweh, a perpetual decree, fixed for ever.	14 ומנחה תעשה עליו בבקר בבקר ששית האיפה ושמן שלישית ההין לרס את הסלת מנחה ליהוה חקות עולם תמיד
15 The lamb, the oblation and the oil must be offered morning after morning for ever.	15 ועשו את הכבש ואת המנחה ואת השמן בבקר בבקר עולת תמיד
16 "Lord Yahweh says this: If the prince presents part of his hereditary portion to one of his sons, the giftmust pass into the ownership of his sons and become their hereditary property.	16 כה אמר אדני יהוה כי יתן הנשיא מתנה לאיש מבניו נחלתו היא לבניו תהיה אחזתם היא בנחלה
17 If, however, he presents part of his hereditary portion to one of his slaves, it wil belong to the manonly until the year of liberation and then must revert to the prince. Only his sons may retain his hereditaryportion.	17 וכי יתן מתנה מנחלתו לאחד מעבדיו והיתה לו עד שנת הדרור ושבת לנשיא אך נחלתו בניו להם תהיה
18 The prince may not take any part of the people's hereditary portion, thus robbing them of what istheirs; he must provide the patrimony of his sons out of his own property, so that no member of my people isrobbed of what is his!" '	18 ולא יקח הנשיא מנחלת העם להונתם מאחזתם מאחזתו ינחל את בניו למען אשר לא יפצו עמי איש מאחזתו
19 He took me through the entrance at the side of the north gate that leads to the rooms of the HolyPlace set apart for the priests. And there before us, to the west, was a space at the end.	19 ויביאני במבוא אשר על כתף השער אל הלשכות הקדש אל הכהנים הפנות צפונה והנה שם מקום בירכתם ימה
20 He said to me, 'This is where the priests must boil the slaughtered animals for the sacrifice for sinand the sacrifice of reparation, and where they must bake the oblation, without having to carry them into theouter court and so run the risk of hal owing the people.'	20 ויאמר אלי זה המקום אשר יבשלו שם הכהנים את האשם ואת החטאת אשר יאפו את המנחה לבלתי הוציא אל החצר החיצונה לקדש את העם
21 He then took me into the outer court and led me to each of its four corners; in each corner of theouter court was a compound;	21 ויוציאני אל החצר החיצנה ויעבירני אל ארבעת מקצועי החצר והנה חצר במקצע החצר חצר במקצע החצר
22 in other words, the four corners of the court contained four smal compounds, forty cubits by thirty, alfour being the same size.	22 בארבעת מקצעות החצר חצרות קטרות ארבעים ארך ושלשים רחב מדה אחת לארבעתם מהקצעות
23 Al four were enclosed by a wal , with hearths al round the bottom of the wall.	23 וטור סביב בהם סביב לארבעתם ומבשלות עשוי מתחת הטירות סביב
24 He said, 'These are the kitchens where the Temple servants must boil the sacrifices offered by thepeople.'	24 ויאמר אלי אלה בית המבשלים אשר יבשלו שם משרתי הבית את זבח העם
