1 ' "The Lord Yahweh says this: The east gate of the inner court must be kept shut for the six workingdays. On the Sabbath day, however, it must be opened, as also on the day of the New Moon;	1 Voici ce que dit Yahvé: La porte de la cour intérieure qui regarde vers l’orient restera fermée pendant les six jours ouvrables; on l’ouvrira le jour du sabbat, ainsi que le jour de la nouvelle lune.
2 and the prince must go in through the porch of the outer gate and take his position by the doorposts ofthe gate. The priests must then offer his burnt offerings and his communion sacrifice. He must prostrate himselfon the threshold of the gate and go out, and the gate must not be shut again until the evening.	2 Le prince y viendra de l’extérieur par le vestibule de la porte et il se tiendra près du montant de la porte; les prêtres offriront alors son holocauste et son sacrifice pacifique. Ensuite il se prosternera sur le seuil de la porte et se retirera; la porte ne sera pas refermée avant le soir.
3 The people of the country must prostrate themselves in the presence of Yahweh at the entrance to thegate on Sabbaths and days of the New Moon.	3 À l’occasion des sabbats et des nouvelles lunes, le peuple du pays se prosternera devant Yahvé à l’entrée de cette porte.
4 The burnt offering offered to Yahweh by the prince on the Sabbath day must consist of sixunblemished lambs and one unblemished ram,	4 Le jour du sabbat le prince présentera en holocauste à Yahvé six agneaux et un bélier sans défaut.
5 with an oblation of one ephah for the ram, and such oblation as he pleases for the lambs, and a hin ofoil for every ephah.	5 Il présentera comme offrande une mesure de farine pour le bélier et ce qu’il voudra pour les agneaux; il ajoutera un sixième de mesure d’huile.
6 On the day of the New Moon it must consist of an unblemished young bull, six unblemished lambs andone unblemished ram,	6 Le jour de la nouvelle lune il offrira un jeune taureau, six agneaux et un bélier sans défaut.
7 when he must make an oblation of one ephah for the bul and one ephah for the ram, and what hepleases for the lambs, and a hin of oil for every ephah.	7 Avec le jeune taureau il offrira de la farine: une mesure pour le bélier, et ce qu’il voudra pour les agneaux; il y ajoutera un sixième de mesure d’huile.
8 "When the prince goes in, he must enter by the porch of the gate, and he must leave by the same way.	8 Lorsque le prince entrera, il passera par le vestibule de la porte et repartira par le même chemin.
9 When the people of the country come into the presence of Yahweh at the solemn festivals, those whohave come in by the north gate to prostrate themselves must go out by the south gate, and those who havecome in by the south gate must go out by the north gate; no one must turn back to leave through the gate bywhich he entered but must go out on the opposite side.	9 Lorsque le peuple du pays viendra devant Yahvé à l’occasion des fêtes, celui qui viendra par la porte nord pour se prosterner sortira par la porte sud; celui qui viendra par la porte sud sortira par la porte nord. On ne retournera pas par la porte par laquelle on est venu, on sortira par le côté opposé.
10 The prince will be with them, coming in like them and going out like them.	10 Le prince entrera avec ses sujets et sortira lorsqu’ils sortiront.
11 "On feast days and solemn festivals the oblation must be one ephah for every bul , one ephah forevery ram, what he pleases for the lambs, and a hin of oil for every ephah.	11 À l’occasion des fêtes et des solennités, le prince offrira pour le jeune taureau une mesure de farine, une autre pour le bélier, et pour les agneaux ce qu’il voudra.
12 When the prince offers Yahweh voluntary burnt offerings or a voluntary communion sacrifice, the eastgate must be opened for him, and he must offer his burnt offerings and his communion sacrifice as he does onthe Sabbath day; when he has gone out, the gate must be shut after him.	12 Lorsque le prince présentera à Yahvé son offrande volontaire, l’holocauste ou le sacrifice pacifique, on lui ouvrira la porte est. Il présentera son holocauste et son sacrifice pacifique comme il le fait le jour du sabbat, puis il se retirera et on fermera la porte dès qu’il sera sorti.
13 Every day he must offer an unblemished lamb one year old as a burnt offering to Yahweh; he mustoffer this every morning.	13 Chaque jour tu offriras en holocauste à Yahvé un agneau d’un an sans défaut, tu le présenteras chaque matin.
14 Every morning in addition he must offer an oblation of one-sixth of an ephah and one-third of a hin ofoil, for mixing with the flour. This is the oblation to Yahweh, a perpetual decree, fixed for ever.	14 Tu présenteras également chaque matin une offrande à Yahvé: un sixième de mesure de farine et un douzième de mesure d’huile pour pétrir la farine; c’est une règle perpétuelle.
15 The lamb, the oblation and the oil must be offered morning after morning for ever.	15 Chaque matin on présentera l’holocauste perpétuel: un agneau, avec de la farine et de l’huile.
16 "Lord Yahweh says this: If the prince presents part of his hereditary portion to one of his sons, the giftmust pass into the ownership of his sons and become their hereditary property.	16 Voici ce que dit Yahvé: Si le prince fait un don à l’un de ses fils sur son héritage, ce don appartiendra à ses fils, il sera leur propriété de génération en génération.
17 If, however, he presents part of his hereditary portion to one of his slaves, it wil belong to the manonly until the year of liberation and then must revert to the prince. Only his sons may retain his hereditaryportion.	17 Mais s’il fait un don sur son héritage à l’un de ses serviteurs, ce don appartiendra à son serviteur jusqu’à l’année de l’affranchissement, après quoi il reviendra au prince; les fils seuls garderont l’héritage.
18 The prince may not take any part of the people's hereditary portion, thus robbing them of what istheirs; he must provide the patrimony of his sons out of his own property, so that no member of my people isrobbed of what is his!" '	18 Le prince ne prendra rien sur l’héritage du peuple; il ne le dépouillera pas de ce qui lui appartient, mais c’est avec ce qui est à lui qu’il donnera un héritage à ses fils; ainsi mon peuple ne sera pas dépouillé de ce qui est à lui.”
19 He took me through the entrance at the side of the north gate that leads to the rooms of the HolyPlace set apart for the priests. And there before us, to the west, was a space at the end.	19 L’homme m’emmena par l’entrée située à côté du porche vers les chambres saintes réservées aux prêtres, celles qui sont au nord. Il y avait là, à l’extrémité ouest, un espace.
20 He said to me, 'This is where the priests must boil the slaughtered animals for the sacrifice for sinand the sacrifice of reparation, and where they must bake the oblation, without having to carry them into theouter court and so run the risk of hal owing the people.'	20 Il me dit: “Voici l’endroit où les prêtres feront cuire les victimes des sacrifices pour le péché et des sacrifices de réparation. C’est là aussi qu’il feront cuire les offrandes de farine; il ne faudrait pas qu’ils les portent dans la cour extérieure et que les choses saintes entrent en contact avec le peuple.”
21 He then took me into the outer court and led me to each of its four corners; in each corner of theouter court was a compound;	21 Il m’emmena ensuite dans la cour extérieure et me fit passer près des quatre angles de la cour. Dans chacun des angles il y avait une petite cour,
22 in other words, the four corners of the court contained four smal compounds, forty cubits by thirty, alfour being the same size.	22 soit quatre petites cours longues de 40 coudées et larges de 30; les quatre avaient la même dimension.
23 Al four were enclosed by a wal , with hearths al round the bottom of the wall.	23 Elles étaient entourées d’un mur et des foyers étaient construits au pied de ce mur tout autour.
24 He said, 'These are the kitchens where the Temple servants must boil the sacrifices offered by thepeople.'	24 Il me dit: Ce sont les fours où les serviteurs de la Maison feront cuire la viande des sacrifices pour le peuple.
