Ezekiel 34

NEW JERUSALEM	Sacra Bibbia Garofalo
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 Mi fu rivolta la parola di Jahvè:
2 'Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy and say to them, "Shepherds, theLord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Are not shepherdsmeant to feed a flock?	2 «Figlio dell’uomo, profetizza contro i pastori di Israele, profetizza e parla ai pastori: “Così dice il Signore Jahvè: Guai ai pastori di Israele che hanno pasciuto se stessi. Non dovrebbero i pastori pascere il gregge?
3 Yet you have fed on milk, you have dressed yourselves in wool, you have sacrificed the fattest sheep,but failed to feed the flock.	3 Vi nutrite di latte, vi vestite di lana, ammazzate per voi gli animali grassi e non pascete il gregge.
4 You have failed to make weak sheep strong, or to care for the sick ones, or bandage the injured ones.You have failed to bring back strays or look for the lost. On the contrary, you have ruled them cruel y andharshly.	4 Non avete dato forza alle pecore deboli, non avete curato la malata né fasciato quella ferita, non avete ricondotto la smarrita né ricercato quella che si era perduta e avete oppresso con durezza quella robusta.
5 For lack of a shepherd they have been scattered, to become the prey of al the wild animals; they havebeen scattered.	5 Esse sono disperse, mancando di pastore, e diventano pasto di tutte le bestie selvatiche. Sono disperse
6 My flock is astray on every mountain and on every high hil ; my flock has been scattered al over theworld; no one bothers about them and no one looks for them.	6 e vagano le mie pecore per ogni monte e su ogni colle elevato; sono disperse per tutto il paese e non c’è chi se ne informi, chi le cerchi.
7 "Very wel , shepherds, hear the word of Yahweh:	7 Perciò, o pastori, ascoltate la parola di Jahvè:
8 As I live, I swear it -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- since my flock has been pil aged and for lack of ashepherd is now the prey of every wild animal, since my shepherds have ceased to bother about my flock, sincemy shepherds feed themselves rather than my flock,	8 Per la mia vita! — oracolo del Signore Jahvè — poiché il mio gregge è divenuto oggetto di preda e le mie pecore, perché senza pastore, diventano pasto di tutte le bestie selvatiche; poiché i miei pastori non si sono interessati del mio gregge — hanno pasciuto se stessi senza aver cura di esso —
9 very wel , shepherds, hear the word of Yahweh:	9 perciò, o pastori, udite la parola di Jahvè:
10 The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against the shepherds. I shall take my flock out of theircharge and henceforth not al ow them to feed my flock. And the shepherds will stop feeding themselves,because I shal rescue my sheep from their mouths to stop them from being food for them.	10 Così dice il Signore. Jahvè: Eccomi contro i pastori: a essi domanderò conto del mio gregge; li toglierò dal pascolo, così che non potranno più pascere se stessi; sottrarrò il mio gregge alla loro voracità e non servirà più a essi di cibo.
11 "For the Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I myself shal take care of my flock and look after it.	11 Perché così dice il Signore Jahvè: Ecco, io stesso mi interesserò del mio gregge e ne avrò cura.
12 As a shepherd looks after his flock when he is with his scattered sheep, so shal I look after mysheep. I shal rescue them from wherever they have been scattered on the day of clouds and darkness.	12 Come il pastore si interessa del gregge quando si trova fra le sue pecore disperse, così avrò cura delle mie pecore, salvandole da ogni luogo dove si erano disperse in tempo di nubi e di caligine.
13 I shal bring them back from the peoples where they are; I shal gather them back from the countriesand bring them back to their own land. I shall pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in althe inhabited parts of the country.	13 Le farò uscire dai popoli e le raccoglierò dalle regioni e le condurrò alla loro terra; le pascerò sui monti di Israele, per le valli irrigue e per tutte le praterie del paese.
14 I shal feed them in good pasturage; the highest mountains of Israel will be their grazing ground.There they will rest in good grazing grounds; they will browse in rich pastures on the mountains of Israel.	14 Le guiderò per ottimi pascoli e la loro dimora sarà sui monti più elevati di Israele; là riposeranno in buon ovile e avranno pingue pastura sui monti di Israele.
15 I myself shal pasture my sheep, I myself shal give them rest -- declares the Lord Yahweh.	15 Io pascerò le mie pecore e io le farò posare — oracolo del Signore Jahvè.
16 I shal look for the lost one, bring back the stray, bandage the injured and make the sick strong. Ishall watch over the fat and healthy. I shall be a true shepherd to them.	16 Cercherò la perduta, ricondurrò la smarrita, fascerò quella che è ferita, fortificherò la debole, custodirò la ingrassata e la forte, le pascerò come è giusto”.
17 "As for you, my sheep, the Lord Yahweh says this: I shall judge between sheep and sheep, betweenrams and he-goats.	17 Quanto a voi, 0 mie pecore, così dice il Signore Jahvè: “Ecco, giudico tra pecora e pecora, tra montoni e capri.
18 Not content to drink the clearest of the water, you foul the rest with your feet.	18 È forse cosa da nulla per voi nutrirvi di ottimo pascolo e calpestare ciò che rimane della vostra pastura, bere l’acqua limpidissima e intorbidare il resto con i piedi?
19 And my sheep must graze on what your feet have trampled and drink what your feet have fouled.	19 È il mio gregge deve pascersi di ciò che i vostri piedi hanno calpestato e bere l’acqua che essi hanno intorbidito!”,
20 Very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: I myself shall judge between the fat sheep and the thin sheep.	20 Perciò così dice il Signore Jahvè alle pecore: “Ecco, io stesso giudico tra la grassa e la magra.
21 Since you have jostled with flank and shoulder and butted al the ailing sheep with your horns, untilyou have scattered them outside,	21 Poiché avete spinto con il fianco e con la spalla e avete sgozzato con le corna tutte le più deboli finché non le avete cacciate fuori,
22 I shal come and save my sheep and stop them from being victimised. I shal judge between sheepand sheep.	22 io soccorrerò le mie pecore e non serviranno più da preda. Giudicherò tra pecora e pecora.
23 "I shal raise up one shepherd, my servant David, and put him in charge of them to pasture them; hewil pasture them and be their shepherd.	23 Susciterò loro un pastore che li pascerà: il mio servitore David; egli li pascerà e sarà il loro pastore.
24 I, Yahweh, shal be their God, and my servant David wil be ruler among them. I, Yahweh, havespoken.	24 Io, Jahvè, sarò il loro Dio e il mio servitore David sarà principe in mezzo a essi. Io, Jahvè, l’ho detto.
25 I shal make a covenant of peace with them; I shal rid the country of wild animals. They wil be ableto live secure in the desert and go to sleep in the woods.	25 Stringerò con essi un’alleanza di pace, farò sparire dal paese le bestie feroci; abiteranno sicuri nel deserto e dormiranno nelle selve.
26 I shal settle them round my hil ; I shall send rain at the proper time; it wil be a rain of blessings.	26 Benedirò loro e le regioni intorno al mio colle, mandando a tempo opportuno la pioggia, acque portatrici d’ogni bene,
27 The trees of the countryside wil yield their fruit and the soil wil yield its produce; they will be secureon their soil. And they wil know that I am Yahweh when I break the bars of their yoke and rescue them from theclutches of their slave-masters.	27 perché l’albero della campagna darà frutto e la terra prodotti. Staranno sicuri nel loro paese. Sapranno allora che io sono Jahvè, quando spezzerò le sbarre del loro giogo, liberandoli dalla mano dei loro padroni.
28 No more wil they be a prey to the nations, no more wil the wild animals of the country devour them.They wil live secure, with no one to frighten them.	28 Non serviranno più di preda alle genti né li divoreranno più le bestie selvatiche, ma abiteranno in sicurezza, senz’alcun disturbo.
29 I shal make splendid vegetation grow for them; no more wil they suffer from famine in the country;no more will they have to bear the insults of other nations.	29 Susciterò loro una florida vegetazione e consunti più non saranno dalla fame nel paese né saranno più l’abominio delle genti.
30 So they wil know that I, their God, am with them and that they, the House of Israel, are my people --declares the Lord Yahweh.	30 Sapranno allora che io, Jahvè loro Dio, sono con loro, ed essi saranno il mio popolo, la casa di Israele, oracolo del Signore Jahvè.
31 And you, my sheep, are the flock of my human pasture, and I am your God -- declares the LordYahweh." '	31 Voi, mie pecore, siete il gregge del mio pascolo e io sono il vostro Dio”, oracolo del Signore Jahvè».
