Ezekiel 28

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:
2 'Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Because your heart has grownproud, you thought: I am a god; I am divinely enthroned far out to sea. Though you are human, not divine, youhave allowed yourself to think like God.	2 "Figlio dell'uomo, di' al sovrano di Tiro: così dice il Signore Dio: Poiché il tuo cuore si è esaltato fino a dire: "Sono un dio, su un seggio divino io regno nel cuore del mare"; e, mentre sei un uomo e non dio, hai fatto del tuo cuore un cuore divino;
3 So, you are wiser than Danel; no sage as wise as you!	3 ecco, sei più sapiente di Daniele, nessun mistero ti è velato;
4 By your wisdom and your intel igence you have made yourself a fortune, you have put gold and silverinto your treasuries.	4 della tua sapienza e intelligenza ti sei fatto forte, hai ammucchiato oro e argento nelle tue riserve.
5 Such is your skill in trading, your fortune has continued to increase, and your fortune has made yourheart grow prouder.	5 Con tutta quella sapienza, con il tuo commercio hai aumentato la tua forza; s'è esaltato il tuo cuore per la tua forza.
6 "And so, the Lord Yahweh says this: Since you have al owed yourself to think like God,	6 Perciò così dice il Signore Dio: Poiché hai fatto del tuo cuore un cuore divino,
7 very wel , I am going to bring foreigners against you, the most barbarous of the nations. They wil draw sword against your fine wisdom, they wil desecrate your splendour,	7 ecco, io faccio venire su di te i più feroci popoli stranieri; snuderanno la loro spada contro la tua bella sapienza, profaneranno il tuo splendore.
8 they will throw you down into the grave and you wil die a violent death far out to sea.	8 Ti faranno scendere negl'inferi, morirai di morte violenta, in fondo al mare.
9 Wil you stil think: I am a god, when your slaughterers confront you? But you will be human, not divine,in the clutches of the ones who strike you down!	9 Dirai ancora: "Sono un dio" di fronte al tuo uccisore? Tu che sei un uomo, non un dio, sei in mano ai tuoi carnefici.
10 You wil die like the uncircumcised at the hand of foreigners. "For I have spoken -- declares the LordYahweh." '	10 Morirai come gli incirconcisi, per mano di stranieri. Io ho parlato". Oracolo del Signore Dio.
11 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	11 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:
12 'Son of man, raise a lament for the king of Tyre. Say to him, "The Lord Yahweh says this: You usedto be a model of perfection, ful of wisdom, perfect in beauty;	12 "Figlio dell'uomo, intona una lamentazione sul re di Tiro; digli: Così dice il Signore Dio: Tu, sigillo e modello ripieno di sapienza e bello alla perfezione,
13 you were in Eden, in the garden of God. Al kinds of gem formed your mantle: sard, topaz, diamond,chrysolite, onyx, jasper, sapphire, garnet, emerald, and your ear-pendants and spangles were made of gold; alwas ready on the day you were created.	13 eri nell'Eden, il giardino di Dio; d'ogni pietra preziosa ricoperto: rubino, topazio e diaspro, crisolito, onice e berillo, zaffiro, carbonchio e smeraldo e d'oro era il lavoro dei tuoi castoni e delle tue legature, preparato nel giorno in cui fosti creato.
14 I made you a living creature with outstretched wings, as guardian, you were on the holy mountain ofGod; you walked amid red-hot coals.	14 Tu eri un cherubino dalle ali spiegate; ti feci guardiano, fosti sul santo monte di Dio; in mezzo a pietre di fuoco te ne stavi.
15 Your behaviour was exemplary from the day you were created until guilt first appeared in you,	15 Tu eri perfetto nella tua condotta quando fosti creato, finché non si trovò in te la malvagità.
16 because your busy trading has fil ed you with violence and sin. I have thrown you down from themountain of God and destroyed you, guardian winged creature, amid the coals.	16 Con l'abbondanza del tuo commercio ti riempisti di violenza e di peccati; io ti disonorai cacciandoti dal monte di Dio! Ti feci perire, cherubino guardiano, cacciandoti via dalle pietre di fuoco!
17 Your heart has grown proud because of your beauty, your wisdom has been corrupted by yoursplendour. I have thrown you to the ground; I have made you a spectacle for kings.	17 Il tuo cuore s'inorgoglì per la tua bellezza; perdesti la sapienza a causa del tuo splendore. Ti gettai a terra; lo feci al cospetto dei re, perché ti vedano.
18 By the immense number of your crimes, by the dishonesty of your trading, you have defiled yoursanctuary. So I have brought fire out of you to devour you; I have reduced you to ashes on the ground before theeyes of al who saw you.	18 Con l'abbondanza delle tue colpe, con la malvagità del tuo commercio profanasti i tuoi santuari. Io ho fatto uscire un fuoco di mezzo a te, che ti ha consumato; ti ho reso cenere sulla terra al cospetto di chiunque ti veda.
19 Of the nations, al who know you are stunned at your fate. You are an object of terror; gone for ever."'	19 Tra i popoli, tutti quelli che ti conoscono sono rimasti stupefatti per te. Diventasti un terrore e non esisterai mai più".
20 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	20 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:
21 'Son of man, turn towards Sidon and prophesy against her.	21 "Figlio dell'uomo, volgi la faccia a Sidone e profetizza contro di lei.
22 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I am against you, Sidon, I will show my glory in you! They wilknow I am Yahweh, once I execute sentence on her and display my holiness in her.	22 Di': Così dice il Signore Dio: Eccomi contro di te, Sidone; sarò glorificato in mezzo a te. Riconosceranno che io sono il Signore, quando farò giustizia di lei e sarò riconosciuto santo in lei.
23 For I shall send her the plague, and there wil be blood in her streets, and in her the dead wil falunder the sword raised against her from al sides, and they will know that I am Yahweh.	23 Le invierò la peste e il sangue scorrerà per le sue strade; cadranno in mezzo a lei i trafitti dalla spada, sguainata contro di lei da ogni parte. Riconosceranno che io sono il Signore".
24 "No more, for the House of Israel, shall any of the hostile nations surrounding them be a thorn thatwounds or a briar that tears; and they will know that I am Yahweh.	24 "Non ci sarà per la casa d'Israele una spina fatale, un aculeo doloroso, da parte di tutti i suoi vicini che smaniano contro di lei. Riconosceranno che io sono il Signore.
25 "The Lord Yahweh says this: When I gather the House of Israel back from the peoples where theyare dispersed, I shal display my glory in them for the nations to see. They wil live on the soil which I gave to myservant Jacob.	25 Così dice il Signore Dio: Quando radunerò la casa d'Israele di tra i popoli dove la disseminai, sarò riconosciuto santo per essi al cospetto delle genti. Abiteranno nella terra che avevo destinato al mio servo Giacobbe;
26 They will live there in confidence, build houses, plant vineyards. They wil live in safety, once I inflictpunishments on all the hostile nations surrounding them, and they will know that I am Yahweh their God." '	26 vi abiteranno al sicuro e vi costruiranno case, pianteranno vigne; abiteranno sicuri quando emetterò il giudizio contro tutti i suoi vicini che smaniano contro di loro all'intorno. Riconosceranno che io sono il Signore, loro Dio".
