1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 - E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:
2 'Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Because your heart has grownproud, you thought: I am a god; I am divinely enthroned far out to sea. Though you are human, not divine, youhave allowed yourself to think like God.	2 «Figlio dell'uomo, dirai al principe di Tiro: - Così dice il Signore Dio: Perchè il tuo cuore si è alto levato e hai detto: Io sono un Dio, e sul trono di Dio sto assiso in grembo al mare, mentre sei un uomo e non un Dio, e fai il tuo cuore pari al cuore di un nume.
3 So, you are wiser than Danel; no sage as wise as you!	3 Ecco, ti fai più sapiente di Daniele, nessun arcano è a te nascosto;
4 By your wisdom and your intel igence you have made yourself a fortune, you have put gold and silverinto your treasuries.	4 colla sapienza e colla prudenza, ti sei formata una potente fortuna e hai procacciato oro e argento pei tuoi tesori.
5 Such is your skill in trading, your fortune has continued to increase, and your fortune has made yourheart grow prouder.	5 Colla tua grande sapienza e col tuo commercio, hai accresciuta la tua potenza, e il tuo cuore nella tua dovizia si innalzò -».
6 "And so, the Lord Yahweh says this: Since you have al owed yourself to think like God,	6 Per questo, dice il Signore Dio: «Perchè il tuo cuore si è innalzato come fosse il cuore di un Dio,
7 very wel , I am going to bring foreigners against you, the most barbarous of the nations. They wil draw sword against your fine wisdom, they wil desecrate your splendour,	7 ecco che io condurrò sopra di te gli stranieri, robustissimi sopra le genti, e snuderanno le loro spade sulla beltà della tua sapienza e daranno il guasto al tuo splendore.
8 they will throw you down into the grave and you wil die a violent death far out to sea.	8 Ti rovineranno e ti rovesceranno, e morrai di morte violenta in seno al mare.
9 Wil you stil think: I am a god, when your slaughterers confront you? But you will be human, not divine,in the clutches of the ones who strike you down!	9 Oserai ancora dire e ripetere: - Io sono un Dio, - in presenza dei tuoi carnefici, mentre sei un uomo e non un Dio, in mano di quelli che stanno per ucciderti?
10 You wil die like the uncircumcised at the hand of foreigners. "For I have spoken -- declares the LordYahweh." '	10 Tu morrai della morte degli incirconcisi per la mano degli stranieri; perchè io ho parlato», dice il Signore Dio.
11 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	11 E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:
12 'Son of man, raise a lament for the king of Tyre. Say to him, "The Lord Yahweh says this: You usedto be a model of perfection, ful of wisdom, perfect in beauty;	12 «Figlio dell'uomo, intona una lamentazione sopra il re di Tiro e gli dirai: - Così parla il Signore Dio: Tu eri sigillo di perfezione, pieno di sapienza, al colmo dello splendore:
13 you were in Eden, in the garden of God. Al kinds of gem formed your mantle: sard, topaz, diamond,chrysolite, onyx, jasper, sapphire, garnet, emerald, and your ear-pendants and spangles were made of gold; alwas ready on the day you were created.	13 eri nelle delizie del paradiso di Dio, ogni sorta di pietre preziose ingemmava la veste che ti copriva, il sardio, il topazio, lo iaspide, il crisolito, l'onice, il berillo, lo zaffiro, il carbonchio, lo smeraldo. L'oro fu apprestato in servizio della tua bellezza e la filigrana era preparata pel giorno in cui saresti stato creato.
14 I made you a living creature with outstretched wings, as guardian, you were on the holy mountain ofGod; you walked amid red-hot coals.	14 Tu eri un cherubino che stende l'ali protettrici, io ti aveva posto sul monte santo di Dio e tu incedevi in mezzo a pietre infocate.
15 Your behaviour was exemplary from the day you were created until guilt first appeared in you,	15 Perfetto nei tuoi procedimenti dal giorno in cui fosti creato fino a tanto che l'iniquità fu ritrovata in te.
16 because your busy trading has fil ed you with violence and sin. I have thrown you down from themountain of God and destroyed you, guardian winged creature, amid the coals.	16 Nell'immensità del tuo traffico il tuo interno si riempì d'iniquità e hai peccato, e io ti scacciai dal monte di Dio e ti mandai in perdizione, o cherubino protettore, di mezzo le pietre fiammeggianti.
17 Your heart has grown proud because of your beauty, your wisdom has been corrupted by yoursplendour. I have thrown you to the ground; I have made you a spectacle for kings.	17 Il tuo cuore s'inalzò nella tua bellezza e nella tua bellezza hai perduto la tua sapienza; io t'ho gettato a terra, nel cospetto dei re t'ho esposto affinchè ti contemplassero.
18 By the immense number of your crimes, by the dishonesty of your trading, you have defiled yoursanctuary. So I have brought fire out of you to devour you; I have reduced you to ashes on the ground before theeyes of al who saw you.	18 Per l'eccesso delle tue iniquità, per la malvagità del tuo traffico hai profanato il tuo sacrario; io farò quindi uscire di mezzo a te un fuoco che ti consumerà e ti ridurrò in cenere sulla terra, sotto gli occhi di tutti quelli che ti contempleranno.
19 Of the nations, al who know you are stunned at your fate. You are an object of terror; gone for ever."'	19 Quanti fra le nazioni ti avranno veduto resteranno attoniti per la tua sorte; finirai nel nulla e più non sarai in eterno -».
20 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	20 E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:
21 'Son of man, turn towards Sidon and prophesy against her.	21 «Figlio dell'uomo, volgi la faccia contro Sidone e profetizza su di essa; e dirai:
22 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I am against you, Sidon, I will show my glory in you! They wilknow I am Yahweh, once I execute sentence on her and display my holiness in her.	22 - Così dice il Signore Dio: Eccomi a te, o Sidone, e sarò glorificato in mezzo a te e conosceranno che io sono il Signore quando avrò eseguito i miei giudizi e provata la mia santità in essa.
23 For I shall send her the plague, and there wil be blood in her streets, and in her the dead wil falunder the sword raised against her from al sides, and they will know that I am Yahweh.	23 E farò penetrare in essa la peste, e scorrere per le sue piazze il sangue, e stramazzeranno le vittime in mezzo ad essa uccise dalla spada in giro; e conosceranno che io sono il Signore.
24 "No more, for the House of Israel, shall any of the hostile nations surrounding them be a thorn thatwounds or a briar that tears; and they will know that I am Yahweh.	24 E non vi sarà più per quei della casa d'Israele inciampo disgustoso, ne spina apportatrice di dolore di coloro che tutt'intorno li avversano; e conosceranno ch'io sono il Signore -».
25 "The Lord Yahweh says this: When I gather the House of Israel back from the peoples where theyare dispersed, I shal display my glory in them for the nations to see. They wil live on the soil which I gave to myservant Jacob.	25 Così dice il Signore Dio: «Quando avrò raccolto quei della casa d'Israele dai popoli fra i quali erano dispersi, sarò, nel cospetto delle genti, santificato in essi: e riabiteranno la loro terra che avevo data al mio servo Giacobbe.
26 They will live there in confidence, build houses, plant vineyards. They wil live in safety, once I inflictpunishments on all the hostile nations surrounding them, and they will know that I am Yahweh their God." '	26 E vi abiteranno in tutta sicurezza e riedificheranno le case e ripianteranno le vigne e dimoreranno rassicurati, quando avrò dato esecuzione ai giudizi contro tutti coloro che li avversano intorno; e conosceranno che io sono il Signore Dio loro».
