Ezekiel 22

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 La palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:
2 'Son of man, are you ready to judge? Are you ready to judge the blood-stained city? Confront her withal her loathsome practices!	2 Y tú, hijo de hombre, ¿no vas a juzgar, no vas a juzgar a la ciudad sanguinaria? Dale a conocer todas sus abominaciones.
3 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: City shedding blood inside yourself to hasten your doom, makingfoul idols on your soil to defile yourself,	3 Tú le dirás: Así habla el Señor: ¡Ay de la ciudad que derrama sangre en medio de ella para que llegue su hora, y se fabrica ídolos para contaminarse!
4 you have incurred guilt by the blood you have shed, you have defiled yourself with the foul idols youhave made, you have shortened your days, you have come to the end of your years. This is why I have madeyou an object of scorn to the nations and a laughing-stock to every country.	4 Por la sangre que has derramado te has hecho culpable, y por los ídolos que fabricaste te has contaminado; has hecho que se acercara tu día y que llegara el término de tus años. Por eso te he convertido en el oprobio de las naciones y en la irrisión de todos los países.
5 From far and near they will taunt you with your infamous disorders.	5 Los que están cerca y los que están lejos se burlarán de ti, ciudad famosa por tu impureza, grande por tu anarquía.
6 "Look! In you the princes of Israel, one and all, have furthered their own interests at the cost ofbloodshed;	6 En ti, los príncipes de Israel se valen de su poder sólo para derramar sangre.
7 in you people have despised their fathers and mothers; in you they have il -treated the settler; in youthey have oppressed the widow and orphan.	7 En ti se desprecia al padre y a la madre, se extorsiona al extranjero que reside en medio de ti, y se oprime al huérfano y a la viuda.
8 You have treated my sanctuary with contempt, you have profaned my Sabbaths.	8 Tú menosprecias mis cosas santas y profanas mis sábados.
9 In you informers incite to bloodshed; in you people eat on the mountains and act licentiously;	9 En ti hay calumniadores que incitan a derramar sangre y hay gente que participa de las comidas sagradas en las montañas. En ti se cometen ignominias:
10 in you they have sexual intercourse with their fathers; in you they force themselves on women in theirperiods;	10 se descubre la desnudez del padre y se fuerza a la mujer a tener relaciones en el período de su menstruación.
11 in you one man engages in loathsome practices with his neighbour's wife, another lewdly defiles hisdaughter-in-law, another violates his sister, his own father's daughter.	11 Uno comete abominación con la mujer de su prójimo; otro contamina a su nuera de una manera infame; otro viola a su hermana, la hija de su propio padre.
12 In you people take bribes for shedding blood; you lend for profit and charge interest, you profit fromyour fel ow by extortion and have forgotten about me -- declares the Lord Yahweh.	12 En ti se acepta soborno para derramar sangre. Practicas la usura y prestas a interés, extorsionas a tu prójimo y te olvidas de mi –oráculo del Señor–.
13 "Now I shal clap my hands at your acts of banditry and the blood that flows in you.	13 Pero yo voy a golpear con las palmas de mis manos, a causa de las ganancias que has obtenido y de la sangre que corre en medio de ti.
14 Wil your heart be able to resist, will your hands be steady, the day when I cal you to account? I,Yahweh, have spoken and shall act.	14 ¿Podrá resistir tu corazón y estarán firmes tus manos, los días en que yo me enfrente contigo? Yo, el Señor, lo he dicho y lo haré.
15 I shal scatter you among the nations and disperse you in foreign countries, and so put an end to thefilthiness now inside you;	15 Te dispersaré entre las naciones, te diseminaré por otros países y eliminaré de ti tu impureza.
16 through your own fault, you wil be profaned in the eyes of the nations, and you wil know that I amYahweh!" '	16 Tú te has profanado a ti misma a los ojos de las naciones, pero sabrás, que yo soy el Señor.
17 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	17 La palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:
18 'Son of man, for me, the House of Israel has become dross: copper, tin, iron, lead, al mixed uptogether in the melting-pot; they are dross.	18 Hijo de hombre, la casa de Israel se ha convertido para mí en escoria: todos, sean plata, cobre, estaño, hierro o plomo, se han convertido en escoria dentro del crisol.
19 And so, Lord Yahweh says this, "Since you have al become dross, right! I shall collect you insideJerusalem.	19 Por eso, así habla el Señor: Porque todos ustedes se han convertido en escoria, yo voy a amontonarlos en medio de Jerusalén.
20 As silver, copper, iron, lead and tin are col ected in the melting-pot, and the fire is blown underneathto melt them down, so I shal collect you in my furious anger and have you melted down;	20 Así como se amontona plata, cobre, hierro, plomo y estaño en medio del crisol, y se atiza el fuego para fundirlos, así yo los amontonaré en mi ira y en mi furor; los pondré allí y los fundiré.
21 I shal collect you and blow up the fire of my rage for you and have you melted down inside the city.	21 Los amontonaré, atizaré contra ustedes el fuego de mi furor y los fundiré en medio de Jerusalén.
22 As silver is melted in the melting-pot, so you will be melted down inside the city, and you wil knowthat I, Yahweh, have vented my fury on you." '	22 Como se funde la palta en medio del crisol, así ustedes serán fundidos en medio de ella, y sabrán que yo, el Señor, he derramado mi furor contra ustedes.
23 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	23 La palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:
24 'Son of man, say to her, "You are a land that has not received rain or shower on the day of anger.	24 Hijo de hombre, dile a Jerusalén: Tú eres una tierra que no ha sido purificada, sobre la que no ha llovido en el día de la ira.
25 In you, the princes are like a roaring lion tearing its prey. They have eaten the people, seized wealthand jewels and widowed many inside her.	25 Hay una conjuración de profetas en medio de ella. Como un león rugiente que despedaza la presa, han devorado a la gente, se han apoderado de las riquezas y objetos preciosos y han multiplicado las viudas en la ciudad.
26 Her priests have violated my law and desecrated my sanctuary; they have made no distinctionbetween sacred and profane, they have not taught people the difference between clean and unclean; they haveturned their eyes away from my Sabbaths and I have been dishonoured by them.	26 Sus sacerdotes han violado mi Ley, han profanado mis cosas santas; no han separado lo sagrado de lo profano, ni han hecho conocer la diferencia entre lo puro y lo impuro; han cerrado sus ojos a mis sábados y yo he sido profanado en medio de ellos.
27 In her the leaders are wolves tearing their prey, shedding blood and killing people to steal theirpossessions.	27 Sus jefes, en medio de la ciudad, son como lobos que despedazan la presa, derramando sangre y haciendo perecer a la gente, a fin de acumular ganancias.
28 Her prophets have plastered these things over with their empty visions and lying prophecies, saying:Yahweh says this, although Yahweh has not spoken.	28 Sus profetas los recubren con cal, proponiendo falsas visiones y predicciones engañosas. Ellos dicen: «Así habla el Señor», cuando el Señor no había hablado.
29 The people of the country have taken to extortion and banditry; they have oppressed the poor andneedy and il -treated the settler in a way that is unjustifiable.	29 Los terratenientes practican la extorsión, cometen robos, explotan al pobre y al indigente, y atropellan al extranjero, contra todo derecho.
30 I have been looking for someone among them to build a barricade and oppose me in the breach, todefend the country and prevent me from destroying it; but I have found no one.	30 Yo busqué entre ellos un hombre que levantara un cerco y se mantuviera firme sobre la brecha delante mí, pero no lo encontré.
31 Hence I have vented my fury on them; I have put an end to them in the fire of my rage. I have madetheir conduct recoil on their own heads -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '	31 Entonces derramé mi furia contra ellos, los exterminé con el fuego de mi furor e hice recaer sobre sus cabezas su mala conducta –oráculo del Señor–.
