Jeremiah 30

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, as follows,	1 Parola indirizzata dal Signore a Geremia, in questi termini:
2 'Yahweh, God of Israel, says this, "Write for yourself in a book al the words I have spoken to you.	2 « Ecco quanto dice il Signore, Dio d'Israele: Scrivi in un libro tutte le parole che ti ho detto;
3 For look, the days are coming, Yahweh declares, when I shal bring back the captives of my peopleIsrael (and Judah), Yahweh says. I shall make them come back and take possession of the country I gave totheir ancestors." '	3 perchè ecco che vengono i giorni — dice il Signore — ed io farò ritornare gli esuli del mio popolo d'Israele e di Giuda — dice il Signore — li farò tornare alla terra da me data ai loro padri ed essi la possederanno.
4 These are the words Yahweh spoke about Israel (and Judah):	4 E queste sono le parole che il Signore ha pronunziate riguardo a Israele e a Giuda:
5 Yahweh says this: We have heard a cry of panic, of terror, not of peace.	5 Così parla il Signore: Abbiamo sentite1 grida di terrore: v'è lo spavento e non la pace.
6 Now ask and see: can a man bear children? Then why do I see each man with his hands on his loinslike a woman in labour? Why has every face grown pale?	6 Domandate e cercate se un maschio partorisce. E perchè dunque io ho veduti tutti gli uomini colle mani ai loro fianchi, a guisa di partorienti, e tutte le facce son divenute pallide?
7 Disaster! This is the great day, no other like it: a time of distress for Jacob, though he will be savedfrom it.	7 Ahi! Che grande è quel giorno, non ve n'è un altro simile a quello: è il tempo della tribolazione di Giacobbe, dalla quale però sarà salvato.
8 (That day, Yahweh Sabaoth declares, I shal break the yoke now on your neck and snap your chains;and foreigners wil enslave you no more,	8 E in quel giorno — dice il Signore degli eserciti — io spezzerò il suo giogo (toltolo) dal tuo collo e romperò le sue legature, e non ti domineranno più gli stranieri;
9 but Israel and Judah wil serve Yahweh their God, and David their king whom I shal raise up for them.)	9 ma essi serviranno al Signore loro Dio e a David loro re, che io loro susciterò.
10 So do not be afraid, my servant Jacob, Yahweh declares, Israel, do not be alarmed: for look, I shalrescue you from distant countries and your descendants from the country where they are captive. Jacob wilreturn and be at peace, secure, with no one to trouble him.	10 Tu dunque non temere, o mio servo Giacobbe, — dice il Signore — non ti spaventare, o Israele, perchè ecco io trarrò in salvo te da una terra lontana, e la tua stirpe dalla terra del suo esilio, e Giacobbe tornerà e si riposerà, sarà ricolmo di tutti i beni e non avrà chi temere.
11 For I am with you to save you, Yahweh declares, I shal make an end of all the nations where I havedriven you, but I shall not make an end of you, only discipline you in moderation, not to let you go quiteunpunished.	11 Perchè io son teco — dice il Signore — per salvarti; io annienterò tutte le nazioni fra le quali ti dispersi: non ridurrò te al niente, ma ti castigherò con giustizia, chè tu non abbia a credere d'essefe innocente.
12 Yes, Yahweh says this: Your wound is incurable, your injury past healing.	12 Ecco infatti quanto dice il Signore: La tua ferita è incurabile, la tua piaga è maligna;
13 There is no one to plead your cause; for an ulcer there are remedies, but for you no cure at al .	13 non c'è chi s'interessi di te per fasciare, non ci son medicine che ti giovino;
14 Al your lovers have forgotten you, they look for you no more. Yes, I have struck you as an enemystrikes, with cruel punishment (because of your great guilt and countless sins).	14 tutti i tuoi amanti ti han dimenticata, e non ti cercheranno, perchè io ti ho percossa con piaga di nemico, con castigo crudele; per la moltitudine delle tue iniquità son giunti all'indurimento i tuoi peccati.
15 Why cry out because of your wound? Your pain is incurable! Because of your great guilt andcountless sins, I have treated you like this.	15 E perchè gridi per i tuoi strazi? Il tuo dolore è senza rimedio: per la moltitudine delle tue iniquità e per l'indurimento nei tuoi peccati t'ho fatto questo.
16 But al those who devoured you wil be devoured, al your enemies, al , go into captivity, those whodespoiled you will be despoiled, and al who pillaged you be pil aged.	16 Ma tutti quelli che ti divorano saran divorati; tutti i tuoi nemici saran fatti schiavi; quelli che ti han devastata saran devastati, e tutti i tuoi saccheggiatori li abbandonerò al saccheggio.
17 For I shal restore you to health and heal your wounds, Yahweh declares, you who used to be called'Outcast', 'Zion for whom no one cares'.	17 Io fascerò la tua cicatrice, io ti guarirò dalle tue ferite, — dice il Signore — perchè ti han chiamata la ripudiata, Sion di cui nessuno si prende pensiero.
18 Yahweh says this: Look, I shal restore the tents of Jacob and take pity on his dwel ings: the town wilbe rebuilt on its mound, the stronghold where it ought to stand.	18 Queste cose dice il Signore: — Ecco io farò tornare al loro posto le tende di Giacobbe, e avrò compassione delle sue case. La città sarà riedificata sulla sua collina, il tempio sarà ricostituito con tutte le sue parti,
19 From them wil come thanksgiving and shouts of joy. I shal make them increase, they wil notdecrease; I shal make them honoured, no more to be humbled.	19 e ne usciranno canti di lode e gridi d'allegrezza. Io li moltiplicherò e non diminuiranno, li glorificherò e non saranno umiliati.
20 Their sons wil be as once they were, their community fixed firmly before me, and I shal punish alltheir oppressors.	20 I suoi figli saranno come da principio, la loro adunanza sarà stabile dinanzi a me, ed io punirò tutti i suoi oppressori.
21 Their prince wil be one of their own, their ruler come from their own people, and I shal permit him toapproach me freely; for who, otherwise, would be so bold as to approach me, Yahweh demands?	21 Da lui verrà il suo Condottiero, di mezzo a lui spunterà il Principe; io lo farò avvicinare, ed Egli s'accosterà a me. E chi è mai colui che possa disporre il suo cuore in modo da avvicinarsi a me? — dice il Signore —
22 You wil be my people and I shal be your God.	22 E voi sarete mio popolo, ed io sarò vostro Dio.
23 Look, Yahweh's hurricane, his wrath, bursts out, a roaring hurricane, to burst on the heads of thewicked;	23 Ecco il turbine del Signore, il furore erompente, la buferi impetuosa piomberà sul capo degli empi.
24 Yahweh's burning anger wil not turn aside until he has performed, has carried out, what he has inmind. In the final days, you wil understand this.	24 E il Signore non cesserà dall'ira furibonda, finché non abbia eseguiti e compiuti i disegni del suo cuore. Alla fine dei tempi li comprenderete.
