Jeremiah 30

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, as follows,	1 Questa è la parola che fu rivolta a Geremia da parte del Signore in questi termini:
2 'Yahweh, God of Israel, says this, "Write for yourself in a book al the words I have spoken to you.	2 "Così dice il Signore, Dio di Israele: Scrivi tutte queste cose che io ti ho detto in un libro,
3 For look, the days are coming, Yahweh declares, when I shal bring back the captives of my peopleIsrael (and Judah), Yahweh says. I shall make them come back and take possession of the country I gave totheir ancestors." '	3 perché ecco: verranno giorni, oracolo del Signore, nei quali io cambierò la sorte del mio popolo di Israele e di Giuda, dice il Signore, perché li ricondurrò nel paese che io diedi ai loro padri, e l'erediteranno".
4 These are the words Yahweh spoke about Israel (and Judah):	4 Queste sono le parole che disse il Signore a Israele e Giuda:
5 Yahweh says this: We have heard a cry of panic, of terror, not of peace.	5 "Così dice il Signore: grido di terrore udimmo, di spavento e non di pace.
6 Now ask and see: can a man bear children? Then why do I see each man with his hands on his loinslike a woman in labour? Why has every face grown pale?	6 Informatevi e considerate se un maschio può partorire! Perché mai vedo tutti gli uomini con le mani sui fianchi come una partoriente? Perché s'è mutato ogni volto in pallore?
7 Disaster! This is the great day, no other like it: a time of distress for Jacob, though he will be savedfrom it.	7 Ohi, quanto è grande quel giorno: è senza pari! Tempo di angustia è per Giacobbe, tuttavia da essa sarà salvato!
8 (That day, Yahweh Sabaoth declares, I shal break the yoke now on your neck and snap your chains;and foreigners wil enslave you no more,	8 In quel giorno, oracolo del Signore degli eserciti, frantumerò il suo giogo dal suo collo e spezzerò le sue catene, cosicché gli stranieri non lo rendano più schiavo;
9 but Israel and Judah wil serve Yahweh their God, and David their king whom I shal raise up for them.)	9 essi serviranno al Signore, loro Dio, e a Davide, loro re, che io susciterò per loro.
10 So do not be afraid, my servant Jacob, Yahweh declares, Israel, do not be alarmed: for look, I shalrescue you from distant countries and your descendants from the country where they are captive. Jacob wilreturn and be at peace, secure, with no one to trouble him.	10 E tu non temere, o servo mio Giacobbe, oracolo del Signore, e non spaventarti, o Israele, perché, ecco: salvo te da paese lontano e la tua progenie dal paese del suo esilio. Ritornerà Giacobbe, vivrà tranquillo e sicuro, senza che alcuno lo disturbi.
11 For I am with you to save you, Yahweh declares, I shal make an end of all the nations where I havedriven you, but I shall not make an end of you, only discipline you in moderation, not to let you go quiteunpunished.	11 Sì, io sarò con te, per salvarti. Oracolo del Signore. Io farò sterminio di tutte le nazioni dove ti ho disperso; ma non farò sterminio di te; ti castigherò, però con giustizia, e non ti lascerò impunito del tutto!
12 Yes, Yahweh says this: Your wound is incurable, your injury past healing.	12 Così, infatti, dice il Signore: inguaribile è la tua ferita, incurabile la tua piaga.
13 There is no one to plead your cause; for an ulcer there are remedies, but for you no cure at al .	13 Non c'è chi giudica la tua causa, per la tua piaga non hai medicine che guariscano!
14 Al your lovers have forgotten you, they look for you no more. Yes, I have struck you as an enemystrikes, with cruel punishment (because of your great guilt and countless sins).	14 Tutti i tuoi amanti ti hanno dimenticato, e più non ti cercano, perché con percossa da nemico ti ho colpito, con castigo spietato; per la tua grande iniquità si erano moltiplicati i tuoi peccati!
15 Why cry out because of your wound? Your pain is incurable! Because of your great guilt andcountless sins, I have treated you like this.	15 Perché gridi per la tua ferita? Inguaribile è il tuo dolore; per la tua grande iniquità si erano moltiplicati i tuoi peccati: perciò ho fatto queste cose contro di te!
16 But al those who devoured you wil be devoured, al your enemies, al , go into captivity, those whodespoiled you will be despoiled, and al who pillaged you be pil aged.	16 Però tutti i tuoi divoratori saranno divorati, tutti i tuoi oppressori andranno in schiavitù; i tuoi saccheggiatori diverranno un saccheggio e tutti i tuoi depredatori li darò in preda!
17 For I shal restore you to health and heal your wounds, Yahweh declares, you who used to be called'Outcast', 'Zion for whom no one cares'.	17 Sì, io curerò la tua ferita e dalle tue piaghe ti guarirò. Oracolo del Signore. Sebbene ti chiamino "Ripudiata", Sion, "colei che non ha chi la cerchi!",
18 Yahweh says this: Look, I shal restore the tents of Jacob and take pity on his dwel ings: the town wilbe rebuilt on its mound, the stronghold where it ought to stand.	18 così dice il Signore: Ecco: farò cessare l'esilio delle tende di Giacobbe e delle sue dimore avrò compassione, sarà anche ricostruita la città sulle sue rovine e il palazzo nel suo diritto sarà stabilito.
19 From them wil come thanksgiving and shouts of joy. I shal make them increase, they wil notdecrease; I shal make them honoured, no more to be humbled.	19 Uscirà da essi una lode e voce festante. Li farò moltiplicare e non diminuire, li onorerò senza umiliarli.
20 Their sons wil be as once they were, their community fixed firmly before me, and I shal punish alltheir oppressors.	20 I suoi figli saranno come per il passato e la loro assemblea dinanzi a me sarà stabile, mentre visiterò tutti i loro oppressori.
21 Their prince wil be one of their own, their ruler come from their own people, and I shal permit him toapproach me freely; for who, otherwise, would be so bold as to approach me, Yahweh demands?	21 Il suo principe sarà uno di essi e il suo dominatore di mezzo ad essi uscirà; lo farò avvicinare e s'accosterà a me. Chi è infatti colui che pignorerà la propria vita per avvicinarsi a me? Oracolo del Signore.
22 You wil be my people and I shal be your God.	22 Voi sarete per me come popolo e io sarò per voi come Dio.
23 Look, Yahweh's hurricane, his wrath, bursts out, a roaring hurricane, to burst on the heads of thewicked;	23 Ecco: la tempesta del Signore scoppia furiosa, tempesta turbinante, sulla testa degli empi si aggira.
24 Yahweh's burning anger wil not turn aside until he has performed, has carried out, what he has inmind. In the final days, you wil understand this.	24 Non si ritirerà l'ardore dell'ira del Signore finché egli abbia compiuto e realizzato i disegni del suo cuore. Al termine dei giorni lo comprenderete".
