1 After this I had a vision of an open door to heaven, and I heard the trumpetlike voice that had spoken to me before, saying, "Come up here and I will show you what must happen afterwards."	1 Dopo ciò vidi: ecco, una porta era aperta nel cielo, e la voce che prima avevo udita, come di tromba, parlare con me, mi dice: «Sali quassù, e ti mostrerò ciò che deve accadere dopo queste cose».
2 At once I was caught up in spirit. A throne was there in heaven, and on the throne sat	2 E all’istante fui rapito in spirito. Ed ecco: un trono era situato nel cielo, e sul trono uno seduto;
3 one whose appearance sparkled like jasper and carnelian. Around the throne was a halo as brilliant as an emerald.	3 e il seduto, simile nell’aspetto a gemma di diaspro e cornalina, e l’arcobaleno, intorno al trono; simile nell’aspetto a smeraldo.
4 Surrounding the throne I saw twenty-four other thrones on which twenty-four elders sat, dressed in white garments and with gold crowns on their heads.	4 È intorno al trono ventiquattro troni, e sui troni sedevano ventiquattro anziani ravvolti in vesti bianche, e sulle loro teste corone d’oro.
5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder. Seven flaming torches burned in front of the throne, which are the seven spirits of God.	5 E dal trono escono lampi, voci e tuoni. E sette fiaccole di fuoco ardono davanti al trono: sono i sette spiriti di Dio.
6 In front of the throne was something that resembled a sea of glass like crystal. In the center and around the throne, there were four living creatures covered with eyes in front and in back.	6 E davanti al trono come un mare dall’aspetto del vetro, simile a cristallo. E in mezzo al trono e attorno al trono quattro viventi pieni d’occhi dinanzi e dietro.
7 The first creature resembled a lion, the second was like a calf, the third had a face like that of a human being, and the fourth looked like an eagle in flight.	7 Il primo vivente simile a un leone, il secondo vivente simile a un vitello, il terzo vivente ha la faccia come d’uomo, e il quarto vivente simile a un’aquila volante.
8 The four living creatures, each of them with six wings, were covered with eyes inside and out. Day and night they do not stop exclaiming: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God almighty, who was, and who is, and who is to come."	8 E i quattro viventi hanno ognuno sei ali, intorno e dentro sono pieni d’occhi, e dicono senza tregua giorno e notte: «Santo, santo, santo il Signore Dio, il dominatore universale, colui che era e che è e che viene».
9 Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to the one who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever,	9 E ogniqualvolta i viventi daranno gloria, onore e ringraziamento a colui che siede sul trono, a colui che vive per i secoli dei secoli,
10 the twenty-four elders fall down before the one who sits on the throne and worship him, who lives forever and ever. They throw down their crowns before the throne, exclaiming:	10 si prostreranno i ventiquattro anziani davanti a colui che siede sul trono, e adoreranno colui che vive per i secoli dei secoli, e getteranno le loro corone davanti al trono, dicendo:
11 "Worthy are you, Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things; because of your will they came to be and were created."	11 «Degno sei, o Signore Dio nostro, di ricevere la gloria e l’onore e la potenza, perché tu creasti tutte le cose, e per la tua volontà esistono e furono create».
