1 Woe to those who plan iniquity, and work out evil on their couches; In the morning light they accomplish it when it lies within their power.	1 Malheur à ceux qui projettent l’injustice et tout au long de la nuit préparent le mal. Dès le lever du jour, dès qu’ils le peuvent, ils l’exécutent.
2 They covet fields, and seize them; houses, and they take them; They cheat an owner of his house, a man of his inheritance.	2 Ils repèrent des champs et les volent, des maisons et ils les prennent; ils s’emparent du maître et de sa maison, de l’homme et de son héritage.
3 Therefore thus says the LORD: Behold, I am planning against this race an evil from which you shall not withdraw your necks; Nor shall you walk with head high, for it will be a time of evil.	3 C’est pourquoi, voici ce que dit Yahvé: “Moi aussi je prépare contre cette race un malheur, vous n’y échapperez pas; vous ne serez plus fiers quand il viendra, car ce sera un temps de malheur.
4 On that day a satire shall be sung over you, and there shall be a plaintive chant: "Our ruin is complete, our fields are portioned out among our captors, The fields of my people are measured out, and no one can get them back!"	4 En ce jour-là on se moquera de vous, et vous, vous ferez entendre cette plainte: “Nous sommes privés de tout, l’héritage de notre peuple a été partagé et personne ne le lui rend; nos champs sont distribués à ceux qui nous pillent.”
5 Thus you shall have no one to mark out boundaries by lot in the assembly of the LORD.	5 Il n’y aura plus personne pour vous donner un héritage dans l’assemblée de Yahvé.
6 "Preach not," they preach, "let them not preach of these things!" The shame will not withdraw.	6 “Ne perdez pas votre salive à nous annoncer ce genre de choses, disent-ils, le malheur ne nous atteindra pas.
7 How can it be said, O house of Jacob, "Is the LORD short of patience, or are such his deeds?" Do not my words promise good to him who walks uprightly?	7 La maison de Jacob serait-elle maudite? Yahvé aurait-il perdu patience? Est-ce donc bien comme cela qu’il fait d’habitude? Promet-il à son peuple, à Israël, autre chose que du bien?”
8 But of late my people has risen up as an enemy: you have stripped off the mantle covering the tunic Of those who go their way in confidence, as though it were spoils of war.	8 - Mais vous, vous êtes les ennemis de mon peuple, vous arrachez son manteau à celui qui est sans reproche, et vous faites la guerre à celui qui vit en paix.
9 The women of my people you drive out from their pleasant houses; From their children you take away forever the honor I gave them.	9 Vous arrachez les femmes de mon peuple des maisons qu’elles aimaient, vous enlevez pour toujours à leurs enfants la dignité que je leur ai donnée.
10 "Up! Be off, this is no place to rest"; For any trifle you exact a crippling pledge.	10 Vous êtes ceux qui disent: Levez-vous, marchez, ce n’est pas le moment de la pause! C’est l’épreuve que vous allez connaître, une cruelle épreuve à cause de votre péché!
11 If one, acting on impulse, should make the futile claim: "I pour you wine and strong drink as my prophecy," then he would be the prophet of this people.	11 Trouvez-moi un prophète assez menteur pour dire: “Je te promets vin et alcool”; il sera le prophète de ce peuple.
12 I will gather you, O Jacob, each and every one, I will assemble all the remnant of Israel; I will group them like a flock in the fold, like a herd in the midst of its corral; they shall not be thrown into panic by men.	12 Oui je veux rassembler tout Jacob et réunir le reste d’Israël, je veux les regrouper comme des brebis au bercail, comme un troupeau dans son pâturage, comme une foule joyeuse.
13 With a leader to break the path they shall burst open the gate and go out through it; Their king shall go through before them, and the LORD at their head.	13 Celui qui ouvre le passage montera devant eux, ils élargiront la brèche; il leur fera passer la porte et par elle ils sortiront; oui leur roi passera devant eux, Yahvé se mettra à leur tête.
