Ezekiel 6

1 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:	1 La parola del Signore mi fu rivolta in questi termini:
2 Son of man, turn toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them:	2 « Figlio dell'uomo, volgi la tua faccia ai monti d'Israele, e profetizza contro di essi,
3 Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD. Thus says the Lord GOD (to the mountains and hills, the ravines and valleys): See, I am bringing a sword against you, and I will destroy your high places.	3 dicendo: Monti d'Israele, ascoltate la parola del Signore Dio; così parla il Signore Dio ai monti e ai colli, alle rupi e alle valli: Ecco, io farò venire sopra di voi la spada, e distruggerò i vostri alti luoghi.
4 Your altars shall be laid waste, your incense stands shall be broken, and I will cast down your slain ones before your idols;	4 E demolirò i vostri altari e saran fatti in pezzi i vostri simulacri, e i vostri (abitatori) li farò cadere uccisi davanti ai vostri idoli,
5 I will scatter their bones all around your altars.	5 e porrò i cadaveri dei figli d'Israele davanti alla faccia dei vostri simulacri, e spargerò le vostre ossa intorno ai vostri altari,
6 In all your dwelling places cities shall be made desolate and high places laid waste, so that your altars will be made desolate and laid waste, your idols broken and removed, and your incense stands smashed to bits.	6 per tutto ove voi abitate le città saran deserte, e gli alti luoghi saranno abbattuti, saran distrutti e non esisteran più i vostri altari, saran fatti in pezzi e ridotti a niente i vostri idoli, i vostri templi saranno atterrati, e le vostre opere periranno,
7 (The slain shall fall in your midst, and you shall know that I am the LORD.	7 e gli uccisi cadranno in mezzo a voi, e conoscerete che io sono il Signore.
8 I have warned you.) When some of your people have escaped to other nations from the sword, and have been scattered over the foreign lands,	8 E lascerò di voi quelli che fuggiranno la spada tra le nazioni, quando vi avrò dispersi per la terra.
9 then those who have escaped will remember me among the nations to which they have been exiled, after I have broken their adulterous hearts that turned away from me (and their eyes which lusted after idols). They shall loathe themselves because of their evil deeds, all their abominations.	9 E i vostri scampati si ricorderanno di me tra le nazioni, dove saran condotti schiavi, quando avrò loro spezzato il loro cuore adultero e alieno da me, e i loro occhi adulteri volti ai loro idoli. Ed essi avran disgusto di se stessi, per il male che han fatto in tutte le loro abominazioni;
10 Then they shall know that it was not in vain that I, the LORD, threatened to inflict this calamity upon them.	10 e sapranno che io sono il Signore e che non invano ho detto di fare ad essi tal male.
11 Thus says the Lord GOD: Clap your hands, stamp your feet, and cry "Alas!" because of all the abominations of the house of Israel, for which they shall fall by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.	11 Così parla il Signore Dio: Batti la tua mano, pesta il tuo piede, e di': « Guai » a tutte le abominazioni dei cattivi della casa d'Israele, perchè stan per essere sterminati dalla spada, dalla fame, dalla peste.
12 He that is far off shall die of pestilence, he that is near shall fall by the sword, and he that is besieged shall perish by famine; so will I spend my fury upon them.	12 Chi è lontano morrà di peste, chi è vicino cadrà sotto la spada, e chi sarà lasciato e assediato morirà di fame, e contro di essi sfogherò completamente il mio sdegno.
13 Then shall they know that I am the LORD, when their slain shall lie amid their idols, all about their altars, on every high hill and mountaintop, beneath every green tree and leafy oak, wherever they offered appeasing odors to any of their gods.	13 E conoscerete che io sono il Signore quando i vostri saranno uccisi in mezzo ai vostri idoli, intorno ai vostri altari, su tutte le colline elevate, su tutte le vette dei monti, sotto ogni albero frondoso, sotto ogni querce folta, luoghi dove essi gettaron sul fuoco incensi odorosi a tutti i loro idoli.
14 I will stretch out my hand against them, and wherever they live I will make the land a desolate waste, from the desert to Riblah; thus shall they know that I am the LORD.	14 Ed io stenderò sopra di essi la mia mano e renderò il loro paese desolato e devastato, dal deserto a Deblata, in tutti i luoghi dove hanno abitato, e sapranno che io sono il Signore ».
