1 Then he led me to the gate which faces the east,	1 Ensuite il me conduisit à la porte qui regardait vers l'orient.
2 and there I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. I heard a sound like the roaring of many waters, and the earth shone with his glory.	2 Et voici que la gloire du Dieu d'Israël entrait par le côté de l'orient ; le bruit qu'elle faisait était semblable au bruit des grandes eaux, et la terre resplendissait de sa majesté.
3 The vision was like that which I had seen when he came to destroy the city, and like that which I had seen by the river Chebar. I fell prone	3 Et la vision que j'eus était semblable à celle que j'avais eue lorsqu'il vint pour détruire la ville ; son aspect était le même que j'avais vu près du fleuve (de) Chobar ; et je tombai sur ma face.
4 as the glory of the LORD entered the temple by way of the gate which faces the east,	4 (Et) La majesté du Seigneur entra dans le temple par la porte qui regardait l'orient.
5 but spirit lifted me up and brought me to the inner court. And I saw that the temple was filled with the glory of the LORD.	5 Et (un) l'esprit m'éleva et m'introduisit dans le parvis intérieur, et voici que la maison était remplie de la gloire du Seigneur.
6 Then I heard someone speaking to me from the temple, while the man stood beside me.	6 J'entendis quelqu'un qui me parlait du dedans de la maison, et (un) l'homme qui se tenait près de moi
7 The voice said to me: Son of man, this is where my throne shall be, this is where I will set the soles of my feet; here I will dwell among the Israelites forever. Never again shall they and their kings profane my holy name with their harlotries and with the corpses of their kings (their high places).	7 me dit : Fils de (d'un) l'homme, c'est ici le lieu de mon trône, le lieu où je poserai mes pieds, et où j'habiterai à jamais au milieu des enfants d'Israël ; et la maison d'Israël ne profanera plus désormais mon saint nom, ni eux, ni leurs rois, par leurs fornications, par les ruines de leurs rois et par les hauts lieux.
8 When they placed their threshold against my threshold and their doorpost next to mine, so that only a wall was between us, they profaned my holy name by their abominable deeds; therefore I consumed them in my wrath.	8 Ils ont mis leur seuil près de mon seuil, et leurs poteaux près de mes poteaux, et il y avait (seulement) un mur entre moi et eux, et ils ont profané mon saint nom par les abominations qu'ils ont commises ; c'est pourquoi je les ai consumés dans ma colère.
9 From now on they shall put far from me their harlotry and the corpses of their kings, and I will dwell in their midst forever.	9 Maintenant donc qu'ils rejettent loin d'eux leur fornication, et qu'ils éloignent de moi les ruines de leurs rois, et j'habiterai toujours au milieu d'eux.
10 As for you, son of man, describe the temple to the house of Israel (that they may be ashamed of their sins), both its measurements and its design;	10 Mais toi, fils de (d'un) l'homme, montre le temple à la maison d'Israël, et qu'ils soient confondus par leurs iniquités ; qu'ils mesurent sa structure,
11 (and if they are ashamed of all that they have done,) make known to them the form and design of the temple, its exits and entrances, all its statutes and laws; write these down for them to see, that they may carefully observe all its laws and statutes.	11 et qu'ils rougissent de toutes les choses qu'ils ont faites. Montre-leur la forme de la maison et de sa structure, ses sorties et ses entrées, et tout son plan, et toutes ses ordonnances, tout l'ordre qu'il faut y garder et toutes ses lois ; décris (tu écriras) cela sous leurs yeux, afin qu'ils observent tout ce que tu as décrit (qui aura été écrit) et qu'ils pratiquent les règlements du temple.
12 This is the law of the temple: its whole surrounding area on the mountain top shall be most sacred.	12 Telle est la loi de la maison bâtie sur le sommet de la montagne. Toute son étendue dans son circuit (à l'entour) sera très sainte ; telle est la loi de cette maison.
13 These were the measurements of the altar in cubits of one cubit plus a handbreadth. Its base was one cubit high and one cubit deep, with a rim around its edges of one span. The height of the altar itself was as follows:	13 Or voici les mesures de l'autel, d'après la coudée exacte, qui avait une coudée et un palme. Son sein (Sa profondeur) était d'une coudée, et la largeur d'une coudée, et sa clôture jusqu'à son bord et tout autour (tout à l'entour) était d'un palme ; telle était aussi la fosse de l'autel.
14 from its base at the bottom up to the lower edge it was two cubits high, and this ledge was one cubit deep; from the lower to the upper ledge it was four cubits high, and this ledge also was one cubit deep;	14 Du bas de la terre jusqu'au premier rebord (inférieur), il y avait deux coudées (de hauteur), et une coudée de large ; et du rebord le plus petit jusqu'au plus grand, il y avait quatre coudées, et une coudée de large.
15 the hearth of the altar was four cubits high, and extending from the top of the hearth were the four horns of the altar.	15 L'autel appelé (Mais) Ariel (lui-même) avait quatre coudées, et d'Ariel jusqu'en haut s'élevaient quatre cornes.
16 The hearth was a square: twelve cubits long and twelve cubits wide.	16 Ariel avait douze coudées de long et douze coudées de large ; il était carré et avait ses côtés égaux.
17 The upper ledge was also a square: fourteen cubits long and fourteen cubits wide. The lower ledge, likewise a square, was sixteen cubits long and sixteen cubits wide, with a half-cubit rim surrounding it. And there was a base of one cubit all around. The steps of the altar face the east.	17 Son rebord avait quatorze coudées de long et quatorze coudées de large dans ses quatre côtés (coins) ; la couronne qui régnait autour avait une demi-coudée, et son sein (enfoncement) était d'une coudée tout autour ; ses degrés étaient tournés vers l'orient.
18 Then he said to me: Son of man, thus says the Lord GOD: These are the statutes for the altar when it is set up for the offering of holocausts upon it and for the sprinkling of blood against it.	18 Et il me dit : Fils de (d'un) l'homme, ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu : Voici les rites de l'autel, à partir du jour où il aura été bâti, afin qu'on offre sur lui l'holocauste et qu'on y répande le (du) sang.
19 Give a young bull as a sin offering to the priests, the Levites who are of the line of Zadok, who draw near me to minister to me, says the Lord GOD.	19 Tu les donneras aux prêtres et aux Lévites qui sont de la race de Sadoc, et qui s'approchent de moi, dit le Seigneur Dieu, afin qu'ils m'offrent un veau du troupeau pour le péché.
20 Take some of its blood and put it on the four horns of the altar, and on the four corners of the ledge, and on the rim all around. Thus you shall purify it and make atonement for it.	20 Tu prendras de son sang, et tu en mettras sur les quatre cornes de l'autel, et sur les quatre coins de son rebord, et sur la couronne qui l'entoure, et tu le purifieras et le sanctifieras.
21 Then take the bull of the sin offering, which is to be burnt in a designated part of the temple, outside the sanctuary.	21 Tu emporteras ensuite le veau qui aura été offert pour le péché, et tu le brûleras dans un lieu séparé de la maison, hors du sanctuaire.
22 On the second day present an unblemished he-goat as a sin offering, to purify the altar as was done with the bull.	22 Le second jour, tu offriras pour le péché un jeune bouc (qui soit) sans tache, et on en purifiera (sanctifiera) l'autel, comme on l'a purifié (sanctifié) avant (avec) le veau.
23 When you have finished the purification, bring an unblemished young bull and an unblemished ram from the flock,	23 Et lorsque tu auras achevé de le purifier (sanctifier), tu offriras un veau du troupeau, qui soit sans tache, et un bélier du troupeau, qui soit aussi sans tache.
24 and present them before the LORD; the priests shall strew salt on them and offer them to the LORD as holocausts.	24 (Et) Tu les offriras en présence du Seigneur ; et les prêtres répandront du sel sur eux, et les offriront en holocauste au Seigneur.
25 Daily for seven days you shall offer a he-goat as a sin offering, and a young bull and a ram from the flock, all unblemished, shall be offered	25 Pendant sept jours tu offriras chaque jour un bouc pour le péché, et on offrira aussi un veau et un bélier du troupeau, qui soient sans tache.
26 for seven days. Thus atonement shall be made for the altar, and it shall be purified and dedicated.	26 Pendant sept jours on purifiera (les prêtres sanctifieront) et consacrera (purifieront) l'autel, et on le remplira d'offrandes (le consacreront).
27 And when these days are over, from the eighth day on, the priests shall offer your holocausts and peace offerings on the altar. Then I will accept you, says the Lord GOD.	27 Et ces jours accomplis, les prêtres offriront le huitième jour et dans la suite vos holocaustes sur l'autel et les victimes pacifiques, et je serai réconcilié avec vous, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
