1 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:	1 - E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:
2 Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, in these words prophesy to them (to the shepherds): Thus says the Lord GOD: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who have been pasturing themselves! Should not shepherds, rather, pasture sheep?	2 «Figlio dell'uomo, profetizza sui pastori d'Israele, profetizza e dirai ai pastori: - Così dice il Signore Dio: " Pastori sciagurati d'Israele, che pascevano se stessi; oh, non sono forse i greggi che dai pastori si fanno pascere?
3 You have fed off their milk, worn their wool, and slaughtered the fatlings, but the sheep you have not pastured.	3 Voi vi nutrivate del latte e della lana vi eravate ricoperti, e le più pingui scannavate, e non pascevate il mio gregge.
4 You did not strengthen the weak nor heal the sick nor bind up the injured. You did not bring back the strayed nor seek the lost, but you lorded it over them harshly and brutally.	4 Non avete sostentato le inferme, nè curato le ammalate, nè fasciato le fratturate, nè ricondotto le sbandate, nè cercato le smarrite, ma avete spadroneggiato con rigore e prepotenza.
5 So they were scattered for lack of a shepherd, and became food for all the wild beasts. My sheep were scattered	5 E le mie pecore si sbrancarono per mancanza di pastore e diventarono preda di tutte le fiere della campagna e si dispersero.
6 and wandered over all the mountains and high hills; my sheep were scattered over the whole earth, with no one to look after them or to search for them.	6 I miei greggi andarono errando per tutti i monti e per tutti i colli elevati, e su tutta la faccia della terra si dispersero i miei greggi e non c'era chi si desse pensiero, nessuno che ne andasse in cerca"-».
7 Therefore, shepherds, hear the word of the LORD:	7 Per questo, o pastori, udite la parola del Signore:
8 As I live, says the Lord GOD, because my sheep have been given over to pillage, and because my sheep have become food for every wild beast, for lack of a shepherd; because my shepherds did not look after my sheep, but pastured themselves and did not pasture my sheep;	8 «Vivo io, dice il Signore Dio, perchè i miei greggi furono dati in depredazione e le mie pecore in pasto a tutte le fiere della campagna, per mancanza di un pastore; giacchè i pastori miei non si diedero pensiero del mio gregge, ma i pastori pascevano se stessi e non pascevano i miei greggi»;
9 because of this, shepherds, hear the word of the LORD:	9 perciò, o pastori, udite la parola del Signore.
10 Thus says the Lord GOD: I swear I am coming against these shepherds. I will claim my sheep from them and put a stop to their shepherding my sheep so that they may no longer pasture themselves. I will save my sheep, that they may no longer be food for their mouths.	10 Così dice il Signore Dio: «Eccomi qua io stesso dai pastori, a ridomandare dalle loro mani il mio gregge e a farli cessare dal pascere più oltre il gregge e dal pascere più oltre se stessi; e sottrarrò alla loro bocca il mio gregge e non sarà più in pasto ad essi».
11 For thus says the Lord GOD: I myself will look after and tend my sheep.	11 Perchè, così dice il Signore Dio: «Ecco che io prenderò la cura delle mie pecorelle e le visiterò.
12 As a shepherd tends his flock when he finds himself among his scattered sheep, so will I tend my sheep. I will rescue them from every place where they were scattered when it was cloudy and dark.	12 Come il pastore visita il suo gregge, nel giorno che si ritrova in mezzo alle sue pecore sbrancate, così visiterò le mie pecore e le ritrarrò in salvo da tutti i luoghi ove erano state disperse nei giorni di nembo e di caligine.
13 I will lead them out from among the peoples and gather them from the foreign lands; I will bring them back to their own country and pasture them upon the mountains of Israel (in the land's ravines and all its inhabited places).	13 E le ricondurrò dai popoli e le raccoglierò dai paesi, e le menerò nella loro terra e le pascolerò sui monti d'Israele, e nei terreni irrigui e pascolativi della terra.
14 In good pastures will I pasture them, and on the mountain heights of Israel shall be their grazing ground. There they shall lie down on good grazing ground, and in rich pastures shall they be pastured on the mountains of Israel.	14 Nei più grassi pascoli le pascolerò e sui monti elevati di Israele andranno in pastura; ivi si adageranno tra l'erbe verdeggianti e brucheranno le pingui zolle dei monti d'Israele.
15 I myself will pasture my sheep; I myself will give them rest, says the Lord GOD.	15 Io baderò alle mie pecore, io le farò adagiare, dice il Signore Dio.
16 The lost I will seek out, the strayed I will bring back, the injured I will bind up, the sick I will heal (but the sleek and the strong I will destroy), shepherding them rightly.	16 Andrò in cerca delle smarrite, ricondurrò le sbrancate, fascerò le fratturate, e sostenterò le inferme e custodirò le grasse e forti e le pascolerò come si deve.
17 As for you, my sheep, says the Lord GOD, I will judge between one sheep and another, between rams and goats.	17 E voi, pecorelle mie, così dice il Signore Dio: Eccomi per far giustizia tra pecora e pecora, tra il montone e il caprone.
18 Was it not enough for you to graze on the best pasture, that you had to trample the rest of your pastures with your feet? Was it not enough for you to drink the clearest water, that you had to foul the remainder with your feet?	18 Non vi bastava pascolare la buona pastura; che avete calpestato colle vostre piante il resto del pascolo e avendo voi acqua purissima da bere, colle vostre zampe l'avete intorbidita tutta?
19 Thus my sheep had to graze on what your feet had trampled and drink what your feet had fouled.	19 E le mie pecorelle dovevano brucare ciò ch'era stato calpestato dalle vostre zampe, e bere ciò che le vostre piante avevano intorbidato!».
20 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Now will I judge between the fat and the lean sheep.	20 Per questo, così dice il Signore Dio a voi: «Eccomi io stesso a giudicare tra la pecora pingue e la magra.
21 Because you push with side and shoulder, and butt all the weak sheep with your horns until you have driven them out,	21 Perchè coi fianchi e colle spade avete cozzato e colle corna malmenato le pecorelle deboli fino a cacciarle fuori del branco.
22 I will save my sheep so that they may no longer be despoiled, and I will judge between one sheep and another.	22 Io salverò il mio gregge e non sarà più preda altrui, e farò io giustizia tra pecora e pecora.
23 I will appoint one shepherd over them to pasture them, my servant David; he shall pasture them and be their shepherd.	23 E susciterò a esse un pastore unico affinchè le pascoli, il mio servo David, egli le pascolerà, e loro farà da pastore.
24 I, the LORD, will be their God, and my servant David shall be prince among them. I, the LORD, have spoken.	24 E io, il Signore, sarò il suo Dio e il mio servo David principe in mezzo di esse; io, il Signore, ho parlato.
25 I will make a covenant of peace with them, and rid the country of ravenous beasts, that they may dwell securely in the desert and sleep in the forests.	25 E stringerò con esse un'alleanza di pace, e farò sparire dalla terra le bestie feroci, e quelli che dimorano all'aperto dormiranno sicuri pei boschi.
26 I will place them about my hill, sending rain in due season, rains that shall be a blessing to them.	26 E saranno una benedizione ch'io porrò intorno al mio colle e farò discendere la pioggia alla sua stagione, saranno piogge di benedizione.
27 The trees of the field shall bear their fruits, and the land its crops, and they shall dwell securely on their own soil. Thus they shall know that I am the LORD when I break the bonds of their yoke and free them from the power of those who enslaved them.	27 E gli alberi della campagna, daranno i loro frutti e la terra la sua produzione, e staranno nella loro terra, scevri da timore, e conosceranno che io sono il Signore quando avrò infranto le ritorte del loro giogo e li avrò sottratti alla mano di quei che signoreggiavano su di essi.
28 They shall no longer be despoiled by the nations or devoured by beasts of the earth, but shall dwell secure, with no one to frighten them.	28 E non saranno più oltre preda altrui tra le genti, e le fiere della terra più non li divoreranno, ma dimoreranno in sicurezza senza alcuna paura.
29 I will prepare for them peaceful fields for planting; they shall no longer be carried off by famine in the land, or bear the reproaches of the nations.	29 E susciterò ad essi una progenie rinomata e non saranno più oltre sminuiti dalla fame sulla terra, e non sopporteranno più l'obbrobrio delle nazioni.
30 Thus they shall know that I, the LORD, am their God, and they are my people, the house of Israel, says the Lord GOD.	30 E conosceranno che io, il Signore Dio loro, sono con essi, e che essi, casa d'Israele, sono il mio popolo; dice il Signore Dio.
31 (You, my sheep, you are the sheep of my pasture, and I am your God, says the Lord GOD.)	31 E voi, pecorelle mie, gregge del mio pascolo, siete uomini e io sono il Signore Dio», dice il Signore Dio.
