1 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:	1 Cette parole de Yahvé me fut adressée:
2 Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, in these words prophesy to them (to the shepherds): Thus says the Lord GOD: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who have been pasturing themselves! Should not shepherds, rather, pasture sheep?	2 “Fils d’homme, prophétise contre les bergers d’Israël, prophétise! Tu diras aux bergers: Voici une parole de Yahvé: Malheur aux bergers d’Israël: des bergers qui prennent soin d’eux-mêmes! N’est-ce pas du troupeau que le berger prend soin?
3 You have fed off their milk, worn their wool, and slaughtered the fatlings, but the sheep you have not pastured.	3 Vous vous nourrissez du lait, vous vous habillez de la laine, vous sacrifiez les bêtes grasses, mais vous ne prenez pas soin des brebis.
4 You did not strengthen the weak nor heal the sick nor bind up the injured. You did not bring back the strayed nor seek the lost, but you lorded it over them harshly and brutally.	4 Vous n’avez pas raffermi la brebis épuisée, vous n’avez pas soigné celle qui était malade, ni pansé celle qui était blessée, vous n’avez pas ramené la brebis égarée, et pas même cherché celle qui était perdue. Quant à celles qui étaient fortes, vous les avez menées par la terreur.
5 So they were scattered for lack of a shepherd, and became food for all the wild beasts. My sheep were scattered	5 Faute de bergers, mes brebis se sont dispersées: une proie toute prête pour les bêtes sauvages.
6 and wandered over all the mountains and high hills; my sheep were scattered over the whole earth, with no one to look after them or to search for them.	6 Mon troupeau s’est dispersé dans la montagne et sur les collines; il reste dispersé à travers tout le pays, et personne ne s’inquiète ou part à sa recherche.
7 Therefore, shepherds, hear the word of the LORD:	7 C’est pourquoi, bergers, écoutez la parole de Yahvé:
8 As I live, says the Lord GOD, because my sheep have been given over to pillage, and because my sheep have become food for every wild beast, for lack of a shepherd; because my shepherds did not look after my sheep, but pastured themselves and did not pasture my sheep;	8 Aussi vrai que je suis vivant, dit Yahvé, si mes brebis ont été livrées aux pillards, si elles sont devenues la proie des bêtes sauvages, la faute est aux bergers. Mes bergers n’ont pas pris soin de mes brebis, c’est d’eux-mêmes qu’ils prenaient soin, et non pas du troupeau.
9 because of this, shepherds, hear the word of the LORD:	9 C’est pourquoi, bergers, ( )
10 Thus says the Lord GOD: I swear I am coming against these shepherds. I will claim my sheep from them and put a stop to their shepherding my sheep so that they may no longer pasture themselves. I will save my sheep, that they may no longer be food for their mouths.	10 Yahvé a parlé: Je vais droit aux bergers pour leur reprendre mon troupeau. Ils ne seront plus les bergers du troupeau, des bergers qui prennent soin d’eux-mêmes. J’arracherai mes brebis de leur bouche et elles ne seront plus leur proie.
11 For thus says the Lord GOD: I myself will look after and tend my sheep.	11 Car voici ce que dit Yahvé: Me voici, je suis là! Je viens rechercher les brebis et c’est moi qui m’en occuperai,
12 As a shepherd tends his flock when he finds himself among his scattered sheep, so will I tend my sheep. I will rescue them from every place where they were scattered when it was cloudy and dark.	12 comme le berger s’occupe de son troupeau le jour où il se trouve au milieu de ses brebis en liberté. Moi aussi je m’occuperai de mes brebis et je les tirerai de tous les lieux où elles ont été dispersées en un jour de brouillard et de sombres nuages.
13 I will lead them out from among the peoples and gather them from the foreign lands; I will bring them back to their own country and pasture them upon the mountains of Israel (in the land's ravines and all its inhabited places).	13 Je les ferai sortir du milieu des autres peuples, je les rassemblerai des différents pays et je les conduirai sur leur propre terre. Je les ferai brouter sur les montagnes d’Israël, dans les vallées et dans tous les pâturages du pays.
14 In good pastures will I pasture them, and on the mountain heights of Israel shall be their grazing ground. There they shall lie down on good grazing ground, and in rich pastures shall they be pastured on the mountains of Israel.	14 Oui, je les ferai brouter dans un bon pâturage, sur les hautes montagnes d’Israël; elles reposeront dans une bonne bergerie et se nourriront dans les grasses prairies des montagnes d’Israël.
15 I myself will pasture my sheep; I myself will give them rest, says the Lord GOD.	15 C’est moi qui prendrai soin de mes brebis, c’est moi qui les ferai reposer - parole de Yahvé.
16 The lost I will seek out, the strayed I will bring back, the injured I will bind up, the sick I will heal (but the sleek and the strong I will destroy), shepherding them rightly.	16 Je chercherai celle qui est perdue, je ramènerai celle qui est égarée, je panserai celle qui est blessée, je raffermirai celle qui est malade, je veillerai sur celle qui est forte; je prendrai soin d’elles avec justice.
17 As for you, my sheep, says the Lord GOD, I will judge between one sheep and another, between rams and goats.	17 Et vous, mes brebis, voici ce que vous dit Yahvé: Je vais juger entre brebis et brebis, entre béliers et boucs.
18 Was it not enough for you to graze on the best pasture, that you had to trample the rest of your pastures with your feet? Was it not enough for you to drink the clearest water, that you had to foul the remainder with your feet?	18 Quoi, cela ne vous suffisait pas de paître dans un bon pâturage? Pourquoi avez-vous piétiné le reste de l’herbe? Vous buviez une eau claire, pourquoi avez-vous troublé le reste avec vos pieds?
19 Thus my sheep had to graze on what your feet had trampled and drink what your feet had fouled.	19 Mes brebis doivent-elles brouter ce que vous avez piétiné et boire ce que vous avez troublé de vos pieds?
20 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Now will I judge between the fat and the lean sheep.	20 C’est pourquoi, voici ce que vous dit Yahvé: Je vais faire le jugement de la brebis grasse et de la brebis maigre.
21 Because you push with side and shoulder, and butt all the weak sheep with your horns until you have driven them out,	21 Vous avez bousculé des côtes et de l’épaule, vous avez frappé de la corne tous les plus faibles, jusqu’à ce que vous les ayez chassés dehors.
22 I will save my sheep so that they may no longer be despoiled, and I will judge between one sheep and another.	22 C’est pourquoi je vais sauver mes brebis, les mettre à l’abri des pillards, et je jugerai entre brebis et brebis.
23 I will appoint one shepherd over them to pasture them, my servant David; he shall pasture them and be their shepherd.	23 J’appellerai à leur tête un berger unique pour prendre soin d’elles, mon serviteur David. Lui sera leur berger.
24 I, the LORD, will be their God, and my servant David shall be prince among them. I, the LORD, have spoken.	24 Moi, Yahvé, je serai leur Dieu, et mon serviteur David sera prince au milieu d’elles ( ).
25 I will make a covenant of peace with them, and rid the country of ravenous beasts, that they may dwell securely in the desert and sleep in the forests.	25 Je conclurai avec elles une alliance de paix, je ferai disparaître du pays les bêtes sauvages; mes brebis pourront rester dans le désert et dormir dans les forêts.
26 I will place them about my hill, sending rain in due season, rains that shall be a blessing to them.	26 Je les installerai tout autour de ma colline et je ferai tomber la pluie en son temps; ce sera une pluie de bénédiction.
27 The trees of the field shall bear their fruits, and the land its crops, and they shall dwell securely on their own soil. Thus they shall know that I am the LORD when I break the bonds of their yoke and free them from the power of those who enslaved them.	27 L’arbre des champs donnera son fruit et la terre sa récolte; mon peuple sera en sécurité sur sa terre, car j’aurai brisé leur joug, je les aurai délivrés des mains de leurs oppresseurs. Alors ils sauront que je suis Yahvé.
28 They shall no longer be despoiled by the nations or devoured by beasts of the earth, but shall dwell secure, with no one to frighten them.	28 Ils ne seront plus la proie des nations, les bêtes sauvages ne les dévoreront plus, mais ils habiteront en paix et personne ne viendra les inquiéter.
29 I will prepare for them peaceful fields for planting; they shall no longer be carried off by famine in the land, or bear the reproaches of the nations.	29 Je ferai que la terre produise abondamment: ils ne connaîtront plus la famine, ils ne connaîtront plus cette humiliation devant les autres peuples.
30 Thus they shall know that I, the LORD, am their God, and they are my people, the house of Israel, says the Lord GOD.	30 Car je suis Yahvé leur Dieu, et ils sont Israël, mon peuple - parole de Yahvé.
31 (You, my sheep, you are the sheep of my pasture, and I am your God, says the Lord GOD.)	31 Vous êtes mon troupeau, les brebis de mon pâturage, et moi je suis votre Dieu - parole de Yahvé.
