Leviticus 4

1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 Jahvè si rivolse a Mosè:
2 "Tell the Israelites: When a person inadvertently commits a sin against some command of the LORD by doing one of the forbidden things,	2 «Parla ai figli di Israele, di loro: “Se qualcuno per inavvertenza pecca contro qualsiasi prescrizione di Jahvè, compiendo quelle azioni che non dovete compiere;
3 if it is the anointed priest who thus sins and thereby makes the people also become guilty, he shall present to the LORD a young, unblemished bull as a sin offering for the sin he committed.	3 se pecca il sacerdote unto rendendo così responsabile il popolo, per il peccato commesso offrirà a Jahvè un giovenco senza difetto, capo di bestiame grosso, per il sacrificio espiatorio.
4 Bringing the bullock to the entrance of the meeting tent, before the LORD, he shall lay his hand on its head and slaughter it before the LORD.	4 Condurrà il giovenco all’ingresso della Tenda del convegno al cospetto di Jahvè, porrà la mano sulla testa del giovenco e lo immolerà al cospetto di Jahvè.
5 The anointed priest shall then take some of the bullock's blood and bring it into the meeting tent,	5 Il sacerdote unto prenderà del sangue del giovenco e lo porterà nella Tenda del convegno;
6 where, dipping his finger in the blood, he shall sprinkle it seven times before the LORD, toward the veil of the sanctuary.	6 il sacerdote intingerà il dito nel sangue e aspergerà sette volte con il sangue al cospetto di Jahvè, verso il velo del santuario.
7 The priest shall also put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of fragrant incense which is before the LORD in the meeting tent. The rest of the bullock's blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of holocausts which is at the entrance of the meeting tent.	7 Il sacerdote metterà del sangue sopra i corni dell’altare del profumo degli aromi al cospetto di Jahvè, che è nella Tenda del convegno; verserà poi tutto il sangue alla base dell’altare dell’olocausto che è all’ingresso della Tenda del convegno.
8 From the sin-offering bullock he shall remove all the fat: the fatty membrane over the inner organs, and all the fat that adheres to them,	8 Dal giovenco del sacrificio espiatorio preleverà tutto il grasso: il grasso che copre le viscere, tutto il grasso che è sulle viscere,
9 as well as the two kidneys, with the fat on them near the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he must sever above the kidneys.	9 i due reni e il loro grasso, quello che è sui lombi e il lobo del fegato che distaccherà dai reni,
10 This is the same as is removed from the ox of the peace offering; and the priest shall burn it on the altar of holocausts.	10 nello stesso modo in cui si preleva dal toro del sacrificio pacifico; il sacerdote li farà salire in fumo sull’altare dell’olocausto.
11 The hide of the bullock and all its flesh, with its head, legs, inner organs and offal,	11 La pelle del giovenco, con tutta la carne, la testa, le zampe, le viscere e le feci,
12 in short, the whole bullock, shall be brought outside the camp to a clean place where the ashes are deposited and there be burned up in a wood fire. At the place of the ash heap, there it must be burned.	12 tutto il giovenco trasporterà fuori dell’accampamento in un luogo puro, nel deposito della cenere, e lo brucerà con fuoco di legna; sarà bruciato nel deposito della cenere.
13 "If the whole community of Israel inadvertently and without even being aware of it does something that the LORD has forbidden and thus makes itself guilty,	13 Se tutta la comunità di Israele manca inavvertitamente contro una delle prescrizioni di Jahvè, compiendo quelle azioni che non dovete compiere, e il fatto è occulto agli occhi dell’assemblea, sarà responsabile;
14 should it later on become known that the sin was committed, the community shall present a young bull as a sin offering. They shall bring it before the meeting tent,	14 quando si conoscerà il peccato commesso, l’assemblea offrirà un giovenco senza difetto per il sacrificio espiatorio e lo condurrà innanzi alla Tenda del convegno;
15 and here, before the LORD, the elders of the community shall lay their hands on the bullock's head. When the bullock has been slaughtered before the LORD,	15 gli anziani della comunità porranno le mani sopra la testa del giovenco al cospetto di Jahvè e immoleranno il giovenco al cospetto di Jahvè.
16 the anointed priest shall bring some of its blood into the meeting tent,	16 Il sacerdote unto porterà del sangue del giovenco nella Tenda del convegno,
17 and dipping his finger in the blood, he shall sprinkle it seven times before the LORD, toward the veil.	17 il sacerdote intingerà il dito nel sangue e aspergerà sette volte al cospetto di Jahvè verso il velo,
18 He shall also put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of fragrant incense which is before the LORD in the meeting tent. The rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of holocausts which is at the entrance of the meeting tent.	18 metterà del sangue sopra i corni dell’altare che è al cospetto di Jahvè nella Tenda del convegno e verserà poi tutto il sangue alla base dell’altare dell’olocausto, all’ingresso della Tenda del convegno.
19 All of its fat he shall take from it and burn on the altar,	19 Dal giovenco preleverà tutto il grasso e lo farà salire in fumo sull’altare.
20 doing with this bullock just as he did with the other sin-offering bullock. Thus the priest shall make atonement for them, and they will be forgiven.	20 Farà di questo giovenco quanto fece di quello per il sacrificio espiatorio del sacerdote: così farà anche di questo. In tale modo il sacerdote compirà per essi il rito espiatorio e sarà loro perdonato.
21 This bullock must also be brought outside the camp and burned, just as has been prescribed for the other one. This is the sin offering for the community.	21 Farà portare fuori dell’accampamento il giovenco e lo brucerà come bruciò il primo giovenco: è un sacrificio espiatorio per l’assemblea.
22 "Should a prince commit a sin inadvertently by doing one of the things which are forbidden by some commandment of the LORD, his God, and thus become guilty,	22 Se un capo pecca per inavvertenza contro una delle prescrizioni di Jahvè suo Dio, compiendo quelle azioni che non dovete compiere, sarà responsabile.
23 if later on he learns of the sin he committed, he shall bring as his offering an unblemished male goat.	23 Quando conoscerà il peccato commesso, porterà in offerta un capro, un maschio senza difetto,
24 Having laid his hands on its head, he shall slaughter the goat as a sin offering before the LORD, in the place where the holocausts are slaughtered.	24 porrà la mano sulla testa del capro e lo immolerà al cospetto di Jahvè, nel luogo dove si immola l’olocausto: è un sacrificio espiatorio.
25 The priest shall then take some of the blood of the sin offering on his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of holocausts. The rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of this altar.	25 Il sacerdote prenderà con il dito del sangue della vittima espiatoria e lo metterà sui corni dell’altare dell’olocausto, verserà poi il sangue alla base dell’altare dell’olocausto.
26 All of the fat he shall burn on the altar like the fat of the peace offering. Thus the priest shall make atonement for the prince's sin, and it will be forgiven.	26 Farà salire in fumo tutto il grasso, come il grasso del sacrificio pacifico: in tale modo il sacerdote compirà per lui il rito espiatorio per purificarlo dal suo peccato e gli sarà perdonato.
27 "If a private person commits a sin inadvertently by doing one of the things which are forbidden by the commandments of the LORD, and thus becomes guilty,	27 Se una persona del popolo della terra pecca per inavvertenza contro una delle prescrizioni di Jahvè, compiendo quelle azioni che non dovete compiere, è responsabile;
28 should he later on learn of the sin he committed, he shall bring an unblemished she-goat as the offering for his sin.	28 quando conoscerà il peccato commesso, porterà in offerta per il peccato una capra, una femmina senza difetto;
29 Having laid his hand on the head of the sin offering, he shall slaughter it at the place of the holocausts.	29 porrà la mano sulla testa della vittima espiatoria e immolerà la vittima espiatoria nel luogo dell’olocausto.
30 The priest shall then take some of its blood on his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of holocausts. The rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar.	30 Il sacerdote prenderà con il dito del sangue e lo metterà sui corni dell’altare dell’olocausto; verserà poi tutto il sangue alla base dell’altare.
31 All the fat shall be removed, just as the fat is removed from the peace offering, and the priest shall burn it on the altar for an odor pleasing to the LORD. Thus the priest shall make atonement for him, and he will be forgiven.	31 Preleverà tutto il grasso come si preleva il grasso dalla vittima del sacrificio pacifico e il sacerdote lo farà salire in fumo sull’altare, in profumo soave per Jahvè. In tal modo il sacerdote compirà per lui il rito espiatorio e gli sarà perdonato.
32 "If, however, for his sin offering he presents a lamb, he shall bring an unblemished female.	32 Se, come offerta per il peccato, porta una pecora, porterà una femmina senza difetto;
33 Having laid his hand on its head, he shall slaughter this sin offering in the place where the holocausts are slaughtered.	33 poserà la mano sulla testa della vittima espiatoria e la immolerà in sacrificio espiatorio nel luogo dove si immola l’olocausto.
34 The priest shall then take some of the blood of the sin offering on his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of holocausts. The rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar.	34 Il sacerdote prenderà con il dito del sangue della vittima espiatoria e lo metterà sui corni dell’altare dell’olocausto, verserà poi tutto il sangue alla base dell’altare.
35 All the fat shall be removed, just as the fat is removed from the peace-offering lamb, and the priest shall burn it on the altar with the other oblations of the LORD. Thus the priest shall make atonement for the man's sin, and it will be forgiven.	35 Preleverà tutto il grasso come si preleva il grasso dell’agnello del sacrificio pacifico e il sacerdote lo farà salire in fumo sull’altare, sopra le vittime dell’olocausto di Jahvè. In tale modo il sacerdote compirà per lui il rito espiatorio, a causa del peccato da lui commesso, e gli sarà perdonato”».
