Isaiah 62

1 For Zion's sake I will not be silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not be quiet, Until her vindication shines forth like the dawn and her victory like a burning torch.	1 Per amore di Sion io non tacerò, per amor di Gerusalemme non mi darò posa, finché non venga fuori come la luce il suo Giusto, e non risplenda come ardente fiaccola il suo Salvatore.
2 Nations shall behold your vindication, and all kings your glory; You shall be called by a new name pronounced by the mouth of the LORD.	2 E le nazioni vedranno il tuo Giusto, tutti i re la tua gloria. E tu sarai chiamata con nuovo nome scelto dalla bocca del Signore.
3 You shall be a glorious crown in the hand of the LORD, a royal diadem held by your God.	3 E sarai una corona di gloria nella mano del Signore, un diadema reale nella mano del tuo Dio.
4 No more shall men call you "Forsaken," or your land "Desolate," But you shall be called "My Delight," and your land "Espoused." For the LORD delights in you, and makes your land his spouse.	4 Non sarai più detta l'Abbandonata, la tua terra non si chiamerà più desolata; ma sarai detta oggetto delle mie compiacenze, e la tua terra (sarà detta) l'abitata, perchè il Signore in te si è compiaciuto, e la tua terra sarà abitata.
5 As a young man marries a virgin, your Builder shall marry you; And as a bridegroom rejoices in his bride so shall your God rejoice in you.	5 Come il giovane starà colla vergine, così staranno in te i tuoi figlioli; come gode lo sposo colla sposa, così godrà con te il tuo Dio.
6 Upon your walls, O Jerusalem, I have stationed watchmen; Never, by day or by night, shall they be silent. O you who are to remind the LORD, take no rest	6 Sulle tue mura, o Gerusalemme, ho disposte le sentinelle, giammai, nè di giorno nè di notte, taceranno. O voi che ricordate il Signore, non tacete,
7 And give no rest to him, until he re-establishes Jerusalem And makes of it the pride of the earth.	7 non gli date riposo, finché Egli non ha resa Gerusalemme gloria della terra.
8 The LORD has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm: No more will I give your grain as food to your enemies; Nor shall foreigners drink your wine, for which you toiled.	8 Il Signore l'ha giurato per la sua destra, pel suo braccio potente: « Non darò più il tuo grano in cibo ai tuoi nemici; i figli dello straniero non berranno più il tuo vino per cui faticasti;
9 But you who harvest the grain shall eat it, and you shall praise the LORD; You who gather the grapes shall drink the wine in the courts of my sanctuary.	9 perchè coloro che han raccolto il grano lo piangeranno e benediranno il Signore, e quelli che vendemmiano beveranno nell'atrio mio santo.
10 Pass through, pass through the gates, prepare the way for the people; Build up, build up the highway, clear it of stones, raise up a standard over the nations.	10 Passate, passate per le porte, preparate la via al popolo, spianate la strada, toglietene i sassi, alzate lo stendardo ai popoli.
11 See, the LORD proclaims to the ends of the earth: Say to daughter Zion, your savior comes! Here is his reward with him, his recompense before him.	11 Ecco il Signore ha pubblicato fino all'estremità della terra: « Dite alla figlia di Sion: — Ecco viene il tuo Salvatore, porta con sè la sua ricompensa e la sua opera gli sta dinanzi ».
12 They shall be called the holy people, the redeemed of the LORD, And you shall be called "Frequented," a city that is not forsaken.	12 Essi saran chiamati il popolo santo, i redenti del Signore. E tu sarai detta la città ricercata e non abbandonata.
