Isaiah 62

1 For Zion's sake I will not be silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not be quiet, Until her vindication shines forth like the dawn and her victory like a burning torch.	1 Per amore di Sion non tacerò, e per amore di Gerusalemme non starò tranquillo, finché la sua giustizia non sorga come l'aurora e la sua salvezza risplenda come fiaccola.
2 Nations shall behold your vindication, and all kings your glory; You shall be called by a new name pronounced by the mouth of the LORD.	2 Allora le nazioni vedranno la tua giustizia e tutti i re la tua gloria; ti si chiamerà con un nome nuovo, che la bocca del Signore pronuncerà.
3 You shall be a glorious crown in the hand of the LORD, a royal diadem held by your God.	3 Sarai una splendida corona nella mano del Signore, una tiara regale nella palma del tuo Dio.
4 No more shall men call you "Forsaken," or your land "Desolate," But you shall be called "My Delight," and your land "Espoused." For the LORD delights in you, and makes your land his spouse.	4 Non ti si dirà più "Abbandonata!", poiché sarai chiamata "Il mio piacere è in essa" e la tua terra "Sposata"; poiché il Signore trova piacere in te e la tua terra avrà uno sposo.
5 As a young man marries a virgin, your Builder shall marry you; And as a bridegroom rejoices in his bride so shall your God rejoice in you.	5 Sì, come un giovane sposa una vergine, ti sposerà il tuo costruttore; come gioisce lo sposo della sua sposa, così il tuo Dio gioirà di te.
6 Upon your walls, O Jerusalem, I have stationed watchmen; Never, by day or by night, shall they be silent. O you who are to remind the LORD, take no rest	6 Sulle tue mura, o Gerusalemme, ho posto sentinelle; tutti i giorni e tutte le notti non taceranno mai. Voi che ricordate al Signore le sue promesse, non abbiate mai riposo!
7 And give no rest to him, until he re-establishes Jerusalem And makes of it the pride of the earth.	7 Non date riposo a lui, finché non abbia ristabilito e non abbia fatto di Gerusalemme un oggetto di lode sulla terra.
8 The LORD has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm: No more will I give your grain as food to your enemies; Nor shall foreigners drink your wine, for which you toiled.	8 Il Signore giurò per la sua destra e per il suo braccio potente: "Mai darò più il tuo grano in pasto ai tuoi nemici; gli stranieri non berranno più il tuo vino, per il quale tu hai faticato;
9 But you who harvest the grain shall eat it, and you shall praise the LORD; You who gather the grapes shall drink the wine in the courts of my sanctuary.	9 poiché quelli che avranno raccolto il grano lo mangeranno e loderanno il Signore, e quelli che avranno vendemmiato berranno il vino nei cortili del mio santuario".
10 Pass through, pass through the gates, prepare the way for the people; Build up, build up the highway, clear it of stones, raise up a standard over the nations.	10 Passate, passate per le porte! Appianate la via per il popolo! Spianate, spianate la strada, rimuovetene le pietre, innalzate un vessillo per i popoli!
11 See, the LORD proclaims to the ends of the earth: Say to daughter Zion, your savior comes! Here is his reward with him, his recompense before him.	11 Ecco il Signore proclama fino ai confini della terra: "Dite alla figlia di Sion: ecco, viene il tuo Salvatore, ecco, con lui è la sua mercede e la sua ricompensa è davanti a lui.
12 They shall be called the holy people, the redeemed of the LORD, And you shall be called "Frequented," a city that is not forsaken.	12 Li chiameranno Popolo santo, Redenti dal Signore, e tu sarai chiamata Ricercata, Città non abbandonata".
