1 Ah, land of buzzing insects, beyond the rivers of Ethiopia,	1 Guai al paese dagl'insetti ronzanti, situato al di là dei fiumi dell'Etiopia,
2 Sending ambassadors by sea, in papyrus boats on the waters! 4 For thus says the LORD to me: I will quietly look on from where I dwell, Like the glowing heat of sunshine, like a cloud of dew at harvest time.	4 Perché così mi parlò il Signore: "Resterò tranquillo e mirerò dalla mia dimora qual torrido calore alla luce del sole e qual nube rugiadosa al calore della mietitura".

6 They shall all be left to the mountain birds of prey, and to the beasts in the land; The birds of prey shall summer on them and on them all the beasts of the earth shall winter.	6 Saranno abbandonati tutti insieme agli avvoltoi delle montagne e alle bestie della terra. 7 Then will gifts be brought to the LORD of hosts from a people tall and bronzed, from a people dreaded near and far, a nation strong and conquering, whose land is washed by rivers-to Mount Zion where dwells the name of the LORD of hosts.	7 In quel tempo verranno portate al Signore degli eserciti offerte da parte di un popolo slanciato e abbronzato, da parte di un popolo terribile da ora e per sempre, un popolo potente e vittorioso, il cui paese è solcato da fiumi, verso il luogo in cui si trova il nome del Signore degli eserciti, il monte Sion.
