Psalms 87

1 A psalm of the Korahites. A song. The LORD loves the city founded on holy mountains,	1 Filiorum Core. Psalmus. Canticum. Fundamenta eius in montibus sanctis;
2 Loves the gates of Zion more than any dwelling in Jacob.	2 diligit Dominus portas Sion super omnia tabernacula Iacob.
3 Glorious things are said of you, O city of God! Selah	3 Gloriosa dicta sunt de te, civitas Dei! -
4 From Babylon and Egypt I count those who acknowledge the LORD. Philistia, Ethiopia, Tyre, of them it can be said: "This one was born there."	4 Memor ero Rahab et Babylonis inter scientes me; ecce Philistaea et Tyrus cum Aethiopia: hi nati sunt illic.
5 But of Zion it must be said: "They all were born here." The Most High confirms this;	5 Et de Sion dicetur: “ Hic et ille natus est in ea; et ipse firmavit eam Altissimus ”.
6 the Lord notes in the register of the peoples: "This one was born here." Selah	6 Dominus referet in librum populorum: “ Hi nati sunt illic ”.
7 So all sing in their festive dance: "Within you is my true home."	7 Et cantant sicut choros ducentes: “ Omnes fontes mei in te ”.
