NEW AMERICAN BIBLEDOUAI-RHEIMS
A psalm of the Korahites. A song. The LORD loves the city founded on holy mountains,1 For the sons of Core, a psalm of a canticle. The foundations thereof are in the holy mountains:
Loves the gates of Zion more than any dwelling in Jacob.2 The Lord loveth the gates of Sion above all the tabernacles of Jacob.
Glorious things are said of you, O city of God! Selah3 Glorious things are said of thee, O city of God.
From Babylon and Egypt I count those who acknowledge the LORD. Philistia, Ethiopia, Tyre, of them it can be said: "This one was born there."4 I will be mindful of Rahab and of Babylon knowing me. Behold the foreigners, and Tyre, and the people of the Ethiopians, these were there.
But of Zion it must be said: "They all were born here." The Most High confirms this;5 Shall not Sion say: This man and that man is born in her? and the Highest himself hath founded her.
the Lord notes in the register of the peoples: "This one was born here." Selah6 The Lord shall tell in his writings of peoples and of princes, of them that have been in her.
So all sing in their festive dance: "Within you is my true home."7 The dwelling in thee is as it were of all rejoicing.
