1 For the leader. Of David. Fools say in their hearts, "There is no God." Their deeds are loathsome and corrupt; not one does what is right.	1 Al maestro di coro. Di Davide. Dice lo stolto nel suo cuore: "Non c'è Dio". Pervertono, corrompono la loro condotta; non c'è chi faccia il bene.
2 The LORD looks down from heaven upon the human race, To see if even one is wise, if even one seeks God.	2 Il Signore dai cieli protende lo sguardo sopra i figli degli uomini per vedere se c'è chi intenda, chi ricerchi Dio.
3 All have gone astray; all alike are perverse. Not one does what is right, not even one.	3 Tutti hanno deviato, insieme si sono corrotti: non c'è chi faccia il bene, non c'è neppure uno!
4 Will these evildoers never learn? They devour my people as they devour bread; they do not call upon the LORD.	4 Non metteranno giudizio tutti gli operatori d'iniquità, che divorano il suo popolo come se mangiassero pane? Non hanno invocato il Signore,
5 They have good reason, then, to fear; God is with the company of the just.	5 ed ecco li ha presi un grande spavento, poiché Dio sta con la generazione dei giusti.
6 They would crush the hopes of the poor, but the poor have the LORD as their refuge.	6 Voi confondete il piano dell'afflitto, ma il Signore è il suo rifugio.
7 Oh, that from Zion might come the deliverance of Israel, That Jacob may rejoice, and Israel be glad when the LORD restores his people!	7 Oh, venga da Sion la salvezza d'Israele! Quando il Signore restaurerà la sorte del suo popolo, esulti Giacobbe, s'allieti Israele.
