1 For the leader. Of David. Fools say in their hearts, "There is no God." Their deeds are loathsome and corrupt; not one does what is right.	1 A karvezetőnek. Dávid zsoltára. Így szól szívében az esztelen: »Nincs Isten!« Romlottak és utálatosak lettek törekvéseikben, nincs, aki jót cselekedne.
2 The LORD looks down from heaven upon the human race, To see if even one is wise, if even one seeks God.	2 Lenéz az Úr a mennyből az emberek fiaira, hogy lássa: van-e okos, aki Istennel gondol?
3 All have gone astray; all alike are perverse. Not one does what is right, not even one.	3 Elfordultak mindannyian, megromlottak valamennyien, nincs, aki jót cselekedne, nincs egyetlen egy sem.
4 Will these evildoers never learn? They devour my people as they devour bread; they do not call upon the LORD.	4 Nemde mind értelmetlenek, akik gonoszat tesznek, s fölfalják népemet, mint egy falat kenyeret. Hol nem hívják segítségül az Urat,
5 They have good reason, then, to fear; God is with the company of the just.	5 ott megremegnek a félelemtől, mert az Úr az igaz nemzedékkel van.
6 They would crush the hopes of the poor, but the poor have the LORD as their refuge.	6 Megzavarjátok a szűkölködő szándékait, ámde az Úr az ő reménysége.
7 Oh, that from Zion might come the deliverance of Israel, That Jacob may rejoice, and Israel be glad when the LORD restores his people!	7 Bárcsak eljönne Izrael segítsége Sionból! Ha majd az Úr jóra fordítja népe sorsát, ujjong majd Jákob, és örvendezik majd Izrael.
