1 After all this was over, those Israelites who had been present went forth to the cities of Judah and smashed the sacred pillars, cut down the sacred poles, and tore down the high places and altars throughout Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim and Manasseh, until all were destroyed. Then the Israelites returned to their various cities, each to his own possession.	1 Terminado todo esto, salieron todos los israelitas que se hallaban presentes a recorrer las ciudades de Judá; y rompieron las estelas, abatieron los cipos y derribaron los altos y los altares en todo Judá y Benjamín, y también en Efraím y Manasés, hasta acabar con ellos. Después volvieron todos los hijos de Israel, cada cual a su propiedad, a sus ciudades.
2 Hezekiah reestablished the classes of the priests and the Levites according to their former classification, assigning to each priest and Levite his proper service, whether in regard to holocausts or peace offerings, thanksgiving or praise, or ministering in the gates of the encampment of the LORD.	2 Ezequías restableció las clases de los sacerdotes y de los levitas, cada uno en su sección, según su servicio, ya fuera sacerdote, ya levita, ya se tratara de holocaustos y sacrificios de comunión, ya de servicio litúrgico, acción de gracias o himnos, en las puertas del campamento de Yahveh.
3 From his own wealth the king allotted a portion for holocausts, those of morning and evening and those on sabbaths, new moons and festivals, as prescribed in the law of the LORD.	3 Destinó el rey una parte de su hacienda para los holocaustos, holocaustos de la mañana y de la tarde y holocaustos de los sábados, de los novilunios y de las solemnidades, según lo escrito en la Ley de Yahveh.
4 He also commanded the people living in Jerusalem to provide the support of the priests and Levites, that they might devote themselves entirely to the law of the LORD.	4 Mandó al pueblo que habitaba en Jerusalén que entregase la parte de los sacerdotes y levitas a fin de que pudiesen perseverar en la Ley de Yahveh.
5 As soon as the order was promulgated, the Israelites brought, in great quantities, the best of their grain, wine, oil and honey, and all the produce of the fields; they gave a generous tithe of everything.	5 Cuando se divulgó esta disposición, los israelitas trajeron en abundancia las primicias del trigo, del vino, del aceite y de la miel y de todos los productos del campo; presentaron igualmente el diezmo de todo en abundancia.
6 Israelites and Judahites living in other cities of Judah also brought in tithes of oxen, sheep, and things that had been consecrated to the LORD, their God; these they brought in and set out in heaps.	6 Los hijos de Israel y de Judá que habitaban en las ciudades de Judá trajeron también el diezmo del ganado mayor y menor y el diezmo de las cosas sagradas consagradas a Yahveh, su Dios, y lo distribuyeron por montones.
7 It was in the third month that they began to establish these heaps, and they completed them in the seventh month.	7 En el mes tercero comenzaron a apilar los montones y terminaron el mes séptimo.
8 When Hezekiah and the princes had come and seen the heaps, they blessed the LORD and his people Israel.	8 Vinieron Ezequías y los jefes a ver los montones y bendijeron a Yahveh y a su pueblo Israel.
9 Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps,	9 Cuando Ezequías preguntó a los sacerdotes y a los levitas acerca de los montones,
10 and the priest Azariah, head of the house of Zadoc, answered him, "Since they began to bring the offerings to the house of the LORD, we have eaten to the full and have had much left over, for the LORD has blessed his people. This great supply is what was left over."	10 respondió el sumo sacerdote Azarías, de la casa de Sadoq, y dijo: «Desde que se comenzaron a traer las ofrendas reservadas a la Casa de Yahveh, hemos comido y nos hemos saciado, y aún sobra muchísimo, porque Yahveh ha bendecido a su pueblo; y esta gran cantidad es lo que sobra».
11 Hezekiah then gave orders that chambers be constructed in the house of the LORD. When this had been done,	11 Entonces mandó Ezequías que se preparasen salas en la Casa de Yahveh. Las prepararon,
12 the offerings, tithes and consecrated things were deposited there in safekeeping. The overseer of these things was Conaniah the Levite, and his brother Shimei was second in charge.	12 y metieron allí en lugar seguro las ofrendas reservadas, los diezmos y las cosas consagradas. El levita Konanías fue nombrado intendente, y Simí, hermano suyo, era el segundo.
13 Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath and Benaiah were supervisors subject to Conaniah and his brother Shimei by appointment of King Hezekiah and of Azariah, the prefect of the house of God.	13 Yejiel, Azazías, Najat, Asahel, Yerimot, Yozabad, Eliel, Jismakías, Májat y Benaías eran inspectores, a las órdenes de Konanías y de Simí, su hermano, bajo la vigilancia del rey Ezequías y de Azarías, príncipe de la Casa de Dios.
14 Kore, the son of Imnah, a Levite and the keeper of the eastern gate, was in charge of the free-will gifts made to God; he distributed the offerings made to the LORD and the most holy of the consecrated things.	14 El levita Qoré, hijo de Yimná, portero de la puerta oriental, estaba encargado de las ofrendas voluntarias hechas a Dios, y de repartir la ofrenda reservada a Yahveh y las cosas sacratísimas.
15 Under him in the priestly cities were Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah and Shecaniah, who faithfully made the distribution to their brethren, great and small alike, according to their classes.	15 En las ciudades sacerdotales estaban permanentemente bajo sus órdenes Eden, Minyamín, Yesúa, Semaías, Amarías y Sekanías, para repartir a sus hermanos, así grandes como chicos, según sus clases,
16 There was also a register by ancestral houses of males thirty years of age and over, for all priests who were eligible to enter the house of the LORD according to the daily rule to fulfill their service in the order of their classes.	16 dejando aparte a los hombres de treinta años para arriba, inscritos en las genealogías, a todos los que entraban en la Casa de Yahveh, según la tarea de cada día, para cumplir los servicios de su ministerio, conforme a sus clases.
17 The priests were inscribed in their family records according to their ancestral houses, and the Levites of twenty years and over according to their various offices and classes.	17 Los sacerdotes estaban inscritos en las genealogías, conforme a sus casas paternas, igual que los levitas, desde los veinte años en adelante, según sus obligaciones y sus clases.
18 A distribution was also made to all who were inscribed in the family records, for their little ones, wives, sons and daughters--thus for the entire assembly, since they were to sanctify themselves by sharing faithfully in the consecrated things.	18 Estaban también inscritos en las genealogías todos sus niños, sus mujeres, sus hijos y sus hijas, de toda la asamblea, porque se santificaban fielmente por medio de las cosas sagradas.
19 The sons of Aaron, the priests who lived on the lands attached to their cities, had in every city men designated by name to distribute portions to every male among the priests and to every Levite listed in the family records.	19 Para los sacerdotes, hijos de Aarón, que vivían en el campo, en los ejidos de sus ciudades, había en cada ciudad hombres designados nominalmente, para dar las porciones a todos los varones de los sacerdotes, y a todos los levitas inscritos en las genealogías.
20 This Hezekiah did in all Judah. He did what was good, upright and faithful before the LORD, his God.	20 Esto hizo Ezequías en todo Judá haciendo lo bueno y recto y verdadero ante Yahveh su Dios.
21 Everything that he undertook, for the service of the house of God or for the law and the commandments, was to do the will of his God. He did this wholeheartedly, and he prospered.	21 Todas las obras que emprendió en servicio de la Casa de Dios, la Ley y los mandamientos, las hizo buscando a su Dios con todo su corazón y tuvo éxito.
