1 After this David attacked the Philistines and conquered them, wresting. . . from the Philistines.	1 وبعد ذلك ضرب داود الفلسطينيين وذلّلهم واخذ داود زمام القصبة من يد الفلسطينيين.
2 He also defeated Moab and then measured them with a line, making them lie down on the ground. He told off two lengths of line for execution, and a full length to be spared. Thus the Moabites became tributary to David.	2 وضرب الموآبيين وقاسهم بالحبل. اضجعهم على الارض فقاس بحبلين للقتل وبحبل كامل للاستحياء. وصار الموآبيون عبيدا لداود يقدمون هدايا
3 Next David defeated Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah, when he went to reestablish his dominion at the Euphrates River.	3 وضرب داود هدد عزر بن رحوب ملك صوبة حين ذهب ليرد سلطته عند نهر الفرات.
4 David captured from him one thousand seven hundred horsemen and twenty thousand foot soldiers. And he hamstrung all the chariot horses, preserving only enough for a hundred chariots.	4 فاخذ داود منه الفا وسبع مئة فارس وعشرين الف راجل. وعرقب داود جميع خيل المركبات وابقى منها مئة مركبة.
5 When the Arameans of Damascus came to the aid of Hadadezer, king of Zobah, David slew twenty-two thousand of them.	5 فجاء ارام دمشق لنجدة هدد عزر ملك صوبة فضرب داود من ارام اثنين وعشرين الف رجل.
6 David then placed garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Arameans became subjects, tributary to David. The LORD brought David victory in all his undertakings.	6 وجعل داود محافظين في ارام دمشق وصار الاراميون لداود عبيدا يقدمون هدايا. وكان الرب يخلّص داود حيثما توجه.
7 David also took away the golden shields used by Hadadezer's servants and brought them to Jerusalem. (These Shishak, king of Egypt, took away when he came to Jerusalem in the days of Rehoboam, son of Solomon.)	7 واخذ داود اتراس الذهب التي كانت على عبيد هدد عزر وأتى بها الى اورشليم.
8 From Tebah and Berothai, towns of Hadadezer, King David removed a very large quantity of bronze.	8 ومن باطح ومن بيروثاي مدينتي هدد عزر اخذ الملك داود نحاسا كثيرا جدا
9 When Toi, king of Hamath, heard that David had defeated all the forces of Hadadezer,	9 وسمع توعي ملك حماة ان داود قد ضرب كل جيش هدد عزر
10 he sent his son Hadoram to King David to greet him and to congratulate him for his victory over Hadadezer in battle, because Toi had been in many battles with Hadadezer. Hadoram also brought with him articles of silver, gold, and bronze.	10 فارسل توعي يورام ابنه الى الملك داود ليسأل عن سلامته ويباركه لانه حارب هدد عزر وضربه لان هدد عزر كانت له حروب مع توعي. وكان بيده آنية فضة وآنية ذهب وآنية نحاس.
11 These, too, King David consecrated to the LORD, together with the silver and gold he had taken from every nation he had conquered:	11 وهذه ايضا قدسها الملك داود للرب مع الفضة والذهب الذي قدسه من جميع الشعوب الذين اخضعهم.
12 from Edom and Moab, from the Ammonites, from the Philistines, from the Amalekites, and from the plunder of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.	12 من ارام ومن موآب ومن بني عمون ومن الفلسطينيين ومن عماليق ومن غنيمة هدد عزر بن رحوب ملك صوبة.
13 On his return, David became famous for having slain eighteen thousand Edomites in the Salt Valley;	13 ونصب داود تذكارا عند رجوعه من ضربه ثمانية عشر الفا من ارام في وادي الملح.
14 after which he placed garrisons in Edom. Thus all the Edomites became David's subjects, and the LORD brought David victory in all his undertakings.	14 وجعل في ادوم محافظين. وضع محافظين في ادوم كلها وكان جميع الادوميين عبيدا لداود وكان الرب يخلص داود حيثما توجه.
15 David reigned over all Israel, judging and administering justice to all his people.	15 وملك داود على جميع اسرائيل وكان داود يجري قضاء وعدلا لكل شعبه.
16 Joab, son of Zeruiah, was in command of the army. Jehoshaphat, son of Ahilud, was chancellor.	16 وكان يوآب ابن صروية على الجيش ويهوشافاط بن اخيلود مسجلا
17 Zadok, son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech, son of Abiathar, were priests. Shawsha was scribe.	17 وصادوق بن اخيطوب واخيمالك بن ابياثار كاهنين وسرايا كاتبا
18 Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, was in command of the Cherethites and Pelethites. And David's sons were priests.	18 وبناياهو بن يهوياداع على الجلادين والسعاة وبنو داود كانوا كهنة
