1 וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר	1 Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said,
2 ראה קראתי בשם בצלאל בן אורי בן חור למטה יהודה	2 'Look, I have singled out Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
3 ואמלא אתו רוח אלהים בחכמה ובתבונה ובדעת ובכל מלאכה	3 and have filled him with the spirit of God in wisdom, knowledge and skil in every kind of craft:
4 לחשב מחשבת לעשות בזהב ובכסף ובנחשת	4 in designing and carrying out work in gold and silver and bronze,
5 ובחרשת אבן למלאת ובחרשת עץ לעשות בכל מלאכה	5 in cutting stones to be set, in wood carving and in executing every kind of work.
6 ואני הנה נתתי אתו את אהליאב בן אחיסמך למטה דן ובלב כל חכם לב נתתי חכמה ועשו את כל אשר צויתך	6 And to help him I have given him Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, and have endowedthe hearts of al the skilled men with the skil to make everything I have ordered you:
7 את אהל מועד ואת הארן לעדת ואת הכפרת אשר עליו ואת כל כלי האהל	7 the Tent of Meeting; the ark of the Testimony; the mercy-seat above it; and all the furniture of the tent;
8 ואת השלחן ואת כליו ואת המנרה הטהרה ואת כל כליה ואת מזבח הקטרת	8 the table and al its accessories; the pure lamp-stand and al its equipment; the altar of incense;
9 ואת מזבח העלה ואת כל כליו ואת הכיור ואת כנו	9 the altar of burnt offerings and al its accessories; the basin and its stand;
10 ואת בגדי השרד ואת בגדי הקדש לאהרן הכהן ואת בגדי בניו לכהן	10 the liturgical vestments, the sacred vestments for Aaron the priest, and the vestments for his sons,for their priestly functions;
11 ואת שמן המשחה ואת קטרת הסמים לקדש ככל אשר צויתך יעשו	11 the anointing oil and the fragrant incense for the sanctuary. They wil do everything as I have orderedyou.'
12 ויאמר יהוה אל משה לאמר	12 Yahweh then said to Moses,
13 ואתה דבר אל בני ישראל לאמר אך את שבתתי תשמרו כי אות הוא ביני וביניכם לדרתיכם לדעת כי אני יהוה מקדשכם	13 'Speak to the Israelites and say, "You wil keep my Sabbaths properly, for this is a sign betweenmyself and you for all your generations to come, so that you will know that it is I, Yahweh, who sanctify you.
14 ושמרתם את השבת כי קדש הוא לכם מחלליה מות יומת כי כל העשה בה מלאכה ונכרתה הנפש ההוא מקרב עמיה	14 You wil keep the Sabbath, then; you wil regard it as holy. Anyone who profanes it wil be put todeath; anyone who does any work on that day wil be outlawed from his people.
15 ששת ימים יעשה מלאכה וביום השביעי שבת שבתון קדש ליהוה כל העשה מלאכה ביום השבת מות יומת	15 Work must be done for six days, but the seventh day wil be a day of complete rest, consecrated toYahweh. Anyone who works on the Sabbath day wil be put to death.
16 ושמרו בני ישראל את השבת לעשות את השבת לדרתם ברית עולם	16 The Israelites wil keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath for all their generations to come: this isan eternal covenant.
17 ביני ובין בני ישראל אות הוא לעלם כי ששת ימים עשה יהוה את השמים ואת הארץ וביום השביעי שבת וינפש	17 Between myself and the Israelites, this is a sign for ever, for in six days Yahweh made heaven andearth, but on the seventh day he rested and drew breath."
18 ויתן אל משה ככלתו לדבר אתו בהר סיני שני לחת העדת לחת אבן כתבים באצבע אלהים	18 When he had finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of theTestimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
