Ephesians 1

1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:	1 Paulo, Apóstolo de Jesus Cristo por vontade de Deus, aos santos (que estão em Éfeso) e aos fiéis em Jesus Cristo.
2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.	2 Graça e paz vos sejam dadas da parte de Deus nosso Pai e do Senhor Jesus Cristo.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:	3 Bendito (seja) Deus e Pai de Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, que nos abençoou, do alto dos céus, com toda a bênção espiritual, em Cristo,
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:	4 escolhendo-nos nele, antes da criação do mundo, para sermos santos e imaculados, a seus olhos,
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,	5 o qual (também) nos predestinou, no seu amor, para sermos seus filhos adotivos por (meio de) Jesus Cristo, por sua livre vontade,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.	6 para louvor da sua graça esplendorosa, a qual nos concedeu no muito Amado (Filho).
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;	7 É nele que temos a redenção pelo seu sangue, a remissão dos pecados, segundo as riquezas da sua graça,
8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;	8 a qual derramou abundantemente sobre nós, em toda a sabedoria e prudência,
9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:	9 tornando-nos conhecido o mistério da sua vontade, que, segundo o seu beneplácito, tinha, desde há muito, estabelecido consigo mesmo,
10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:	10 para o realizar sua plenitude dos tempos: reunir em Cristo todas as coisas, assim as do céu, como as da terra.
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:	11 Nós, predestinados pelo decreto daquele que opera todas as coisas, segundo o conselho da sua vontade, fomos escolhidos
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.	12 para servir ao louvor da sua glória, nós, que antes tínhamos esperado em Cristo,
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,	13 Nele também vós, tendo ouvido a palavra da verdade, o Evangelho da vossa salvação, e, tendo crido nele, fostes marcados com o selo do Espirito Santo que tinha sido prometido,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.	14 o qual é o penhor da nossa herança, esperando a plena redenção daqueles que Deus adquiriu, em louvor da sua glória.
15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,	15 Por isso, eu também, tendo ouvido qual a fé que tendes no Senhor Jesus e o amor para com todos os santos,
16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;	16 não cesso de dar graças (a Deus) por vós, fazendo menção de vós nas minhas orações,
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:	17 para que o Deus Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, o Pai de glória, vos dê o espírito de sabedoria e de revelação, para o conhecerdes,
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,	18 iluminando os olhos do vosso coração, para que conheçais qual a esperança a que ele vos chamou, quais as riquezas da glória da sua herança reservada aos santos,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,	19 e qual é em nós, os que cremos, a suprema grandeza do seu poder, atestado pela eficácia da sua força soberana (em nos converter),
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,	20 a qual ele empregou em Cristo, ressuscitando-o dos mortos e pondo-o à sua mão direita no céu,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:	21 acima de todo o principado, potestade, virtude e dominação, acima de todo o nome que é nomeado, não só neste século, mas também no futuro.
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,	22 Pôs debaixo dos seus pés todas as coisas e constituiu-o cabeça de toda a Igreja,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.	23 que é o seu corpo e o complemento daquele que se completa em todos.
