¹ Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?	¹ Quelqu'un de vous, ayant un différend avec un autre, ose l'appeler en jugement devant les méchants (infidèles), et non devant les saints ?
² Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?	² Ne savez-vous pas que les saints jugeront ce monde ? Et si c'est par vous que ce monde sera jugé, êtes-vous indignes de juger les moindres choses ?
³ Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?	³ Ne savez-vous pas que nous jugerons les anges? Combien plus les choses de cette vie!
⁴ If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.	⁴ Si donc vous avez des différends touchant les choses de cette vie, établissez pour les juger ceux qui sont les moins considérés dans l'église.
⁵ I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?	⁵ Je le dis à votre confusion. Ainsi il n'y a parmi vous pas un seul homme sage qui puisse juger entre ses frères. (?)
⁶ But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.	⁶ Mais un frère plaide contre son frère, et cela devant des infidèles ?
⁷ Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?	⁷ C'est déjà chez vous une grande faute que vous ayez des procès entre vous. Pourquoi n'acceptez-vous pas plutôt une injustice ? pourquoi ne souffrez-vous pas plutôt une fraude ?
⁸ Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.	⁸ Mais c'est vous qui commettez l'injustice et qui pratiquez la fraude, et cela envers vos frères !
⁹ Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,	⁹ Ne savez-vous pas que les injustes ne posséderont point le royaume de Dieu? Ne vous y trompez pas: ni les impudiques, ni les idolâtres, ni les adultères,
¹⁰ Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.	¹⁰ ni les efféminés, ni les infâmes, ni les voleurs, ni les avares, ni les ivrognes, ni les médisants, ni les rapaces, ne posséderont le royaume de Dieu.
¹¹ And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.	¹¹ Et cela vous l'étiez, quelques-uns du moins; mais vous avez été lavés, mais vous avez été sanctifiés, mais vous avez été justifiés au nom de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, et par l'Esprit de notre Dieu.
¹² All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.	¹² Tout m'est permis, mais tout n'est pas avantageux. Tout m'est permis, mais moi, je ne me laisserai asservir par quoi que ce soit.
¹³ Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.	¹³ Les aliments sont pour le ventre, et le ventre pour les aliments ; mais Dieu détruira l'un et les autres (l'autre). Cependant le corps n'est point pour l'impudicité (la fornication), mais pour le Seigneur, et le Seigneur est pour le corps.
¹⁴ And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.	¹⁴ Or Dieu a ressuscité le Seigneur, et il nous ressuscitera aussi par sa puissance.
¹⁵ Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.	¹⁵ Ne savez-vous pas que vos corps sont les membres du Christ ? Prenant donc les membres du Christ, en ferai-je les membres d'une prostituée ? Loin de là !
¹⁶ What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.	¹⁶ Ne savez-vous pas que celui qui s'unit à une prostituée devient un même corps (chair) avec elle ? Car, est-il dit, ils seront deux dans une seule chair.
¹⁷ But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.	¹⁷ Mais celui qui s'unit au Seigneur est un même esprit avec lui.
¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that commiteth fornication sinneth against his own body.	¹⁸ Fuyez l'impudicité (la fornication). Quelque péché que l'homme commette, il est hors du corps ; mais celui qui commet l'impudicité (la fornication) pèche contre son propre corps.
¹⁹ What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?	¹⁹ Ne savez-vous pas que vos membres sont le temple de l'Esprit-Saint qui est en vous, que vous avez reçu de Dieu, et que vous n'êtes plus à vous-mêmes ?
²⁰ For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.	²⁰ Car vous avez été achetés à grand prix. Glorifiez et portez Dieu dans votre corps.
