Deuteronomy 12

1 These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.	1 Queste sono le prescrizioni e i decreti che baderete di praticare nella terra che il Signore, Dio dei tuoi padri, ti ha dato da conquistare, per tutti i giorni della vostra vita su quel suolo.
2 Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:	2 Distruggerete interamente tutti i luoghi nei quali le nazioni che voi state per conquistare hanno servito i loro dèi: sugli alti monti, sulle colline e sotto ogni albero frondoso.
3 And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.	3 Demolirete i loro altari, frantumerete le loro stele, i loro pali sacri li brucerete nel fuoco, spezzerete le statue dei loro dèi e farete perire il loro nome da quei luoghi.
4 Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.	4 Non farete così con il Signore vostro Dio,
5 But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:	5 ma lo cercherete nella sua dimora, nel luogo che il Signore vostro Dio sceglierà tra tutte le tribù di mettere il suo nome, e qui verrai.
6 And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:	6 Porterete qui i vostri olocausti, i vostri sacrifici, le vostre decime e il dono delle vostre mani, i vostri voti, le vostre offerte spontanee e i primogeniti del vostro bestiame grosso e del vostro bestiame minuto;
7 And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.	7 mangerete qui, dinanzi al Signore vostro Dio, e gioirete voi e le vostre famiglie per ogni impresa delle vostre mani in cui il Signore tuo Dio ti avrà benedetto.
8 Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.	8 Non farete, come facciamo qui oggi, ciascuno ciò ch'è giusto ai propri occhi,
9 For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you.	9 poiché ancora non siete entrati nel riposo e nell'eredità che il Signore vostro Dio vi dona.
10 But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;	10 Voi attraverserete il Giordano e abiterete nella terra che il Signore vostro Dio vi assegna in eredità; vi darà tranquillità da tutti i nemici che vi circondano e abiterete in sicurezza.
11 Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:	11 Nel luogo che il Signore vostro Dio sceglierà per far dimorare il suo nome, ivi porterete tutto ciò che io oggi vi prescrivo: i vostri olocausti, i vostri sacrifici, le vostre decime, il dono delle vostre mani e tutte le cose scelte che avete promesso in voto al Signore;
12 And ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you.	12 gioirete al cospetto del Signore vostro Dio, voi, i vostri figli e le vostre figlie, i vostri servi e le vostre serve, il levita che si trova entro le vostre porte, poiché questi non ha né parte né eredità con voi.
13 Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest:	13 Guàrdati dall'offrire i tuoi olocausti in ogni luogo che vedi;
14 But in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.	14 solo nel luogo che il Signore sceglierà in una delle tue tribù, là offrirai i tuoi olocausti e là eseguirai quanto ti prescrivo.
15 Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart.	15 Tuttavia ogni volta che tu lo desideri potrai immolare e mangiare carne in ciascuna delle tue città, secondo che la benedizione del Signore ti avrà concesso. Ne potranno mangiare chi è impuro e chi è puro, come se fosse gazzella e cervo.
16 Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water.	16 Però non mangerete il sangue; lo spanderete sulla terra come l'acqua.
17 Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill offerings, or heave offering of thine hand:	17 Non potrai mangiare nelle tue città la decima del tuo frumento, del tuo mosto e del tuo olio, i primogeniti del tuo bestiame grosso e del tuo bestiame minuto, niente di ciò che hai promesso in voto, né le tue offerte spontanee né il dono delle tue mani;
18 But thou must eat them before the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.	18 ma le mangerai al cospetto del Signore tuo Dio nel luogo che il Signore tuo Dio sceglierà: tu, tuo figlio e tua figlia, il tuo servo e la tua serva, il levita che si trova entro le tue porte, e gioirai al cospetto del Signore tuo Dio per ogni opera delle tue mani.
19 Take heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite as long as thou livest upon the earth.	19 Guàrdati dal trascurare il levita per tutti i giorni in cui vivrai sul tuo suolo.
20 When the LORD thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.	20 Quando il Signore tuo Dio avrà ampliato i tuoi confini, come ti ha detto, e tu dirai: "Mangerò carne", poiché la tua gola desidera mangiare carne, secondo il desiderio della tua gola mangerai carne.
21 If the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to put his name there be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the LORD hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.	21 Se il luogo dove il Signore tuo Dio ha scelto di porre il suo nome è distante da te, immolerai del tuo bestiame grosso e del tuo bestiame minuto che il Signore ti avrà dato nel modo che ti ho prescritto; ne mangerai tra le tue porte secondo ogni desiderio della tua gola;
22 Even as the roebuck and the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat them: the unclean and the clean shall eat of them alike.	22 però come si mangia la gazzella e il cervo ne mangerai; ne mangeranno ugualmente chi è impuro e chi è puro.
23 Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh.	23 Però sii fermo, non mangiare il sangue, poiché il sangue è la vita, e non mangerai la vita con la carne.
24 Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water.	24 Non lo mangerai, lo spanderai sulla terra come l'acqua.
25 Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.	25 Non lo mangerai, perché sia felice tu e i tuoi figli dopo di te, perché hai compiuto quanto è giusto agli occhi del Signore.
26 Only thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou shalt take, and go unto the place which the LORD shall choose:	26 Tuttavia prenderai le tue cose sacre e i tuoi voti e li porterai nel luogo che il Signore sceglierà,
27 And thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the LORD thy God: and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh.	27 e farai i tuoi olocausti della carne e del sangue sull'altare del Signore tuo Dio: il sangue dei tuoi sacrifici sarà sparso sull'altare del Signore tuo Dio e ne mangerai la carne.
28 Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy God.	28 Osserva e pratica tutte queste cose che ti prescrivo, perché siate felici tu e i tuoi figli dopo di te per sempre, perché hai compiuto quanto è bene e giusto agli occhi del Signore tuo Dio.
29 When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;	29 Quando il Signore tuo Dio avrà fatto scomparire le nazioni presso le quali tu vai, spossessandole davanti a te, e le avrai conquistate e abiterai nella loro terra,
30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.	30 guàrdati dal lasciarti ingannare seguendo il loro esempio, dopo che furono annientate dinanzi a te; non ricercare i loro dèi dicendo: "Come servivano queste nazioni i loro dèi? Anch'io farò così".
31 Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.	31 Non agirai così verso il Signore tuo Dio, perché essi hanno fatto per i loro dèi quanto è in abominio e in odio al Signore: hanno bruciato nel fuoco perfino i loro figli e le loro figlie, in onore dei loro dèi.
32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
