Deuteronomy 12

1 These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.	1 Das sind die Gesetze und Rechtsvorschriften, auf die ihr achten und die ihr halten sollt in dem Land, das der Herr, der Gott deiner Väter, dir gegeben hat, damit du es in Besitz nimmst. Sie sollen so lange gelten, wie ihr in dem Land leben werdet.
2 Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:	2 Ihr sollt alle Kultstätten zerstören, an denen die Völker, deren Besitz ihr übernehmt, ihren Göttern gedient haben: auf den hohen Bergen, auf den Hügeln und unter jedem üppigen Baum.
3 And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.	3 Ihr sollt ihre Altäre niederreißen und ihre Steinmale zerschlagen. Ihre Kultpfähle sollt ihr im Feuer verbrennen und die Bilder ihrer Götter umhauen. Ihre Namen sollt ihr an jeder solchen Stätte tilgen.
4 Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.	4 Ihr sollt nicht das Gleiche tun (wie diese Völker), wenn ihr den Herrn, euren Gott, verehrt,
5 But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:	5 sondern ihr sollt nach der Stätte fragen, die der Herr, euer Gott, aus allen euren Stammesgebieten auswählen wird, indem er dort seinen Namen anbringt. Nach seiner Wohnung sollt ihr fragen und dorthin sollst du ziehen.
6 And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:	6 Dorthin sollt ihr eure Brandopfertiere und Schlachtopfertiere bringen, eure Zehnten und Handerhebungsopfer, was ihr dem Herrn gelobt habt und was ihr freiwillig gebt, und die Erstlinge eurer Rinder, Schafe und Ziegen.
7 And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.	7 Dort sollt ihr vor dem Herrn, eurem Gott, das Mahl halten. Ihr sollt fröhlich sein, ihr und eure Familien, aus Freude über alles, was eure Hände geschafft haben, weil der Herr, dein Gott, dich gesegnet hat.
8 Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.	8 Ihr sollt nicht tun, was jeder Einzelne für richtig hält, wie es hier bei uns heute noch geschieht.
9 For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you.	9 Denn ihr seid bis jetzt nicht in die Ruhe und in den Erbbesitz eingezogen, die der Herr, dein Gott, dir gibt.
10 But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;	10 Wenn ihr aber den Jordan überschritten habt und in dem Land wohnt, das der Herr, euer Gott, an euch als Erbbesitz verteilt, wenn er euch Ruhe vor allen euren Feinden ringsum verschafft hat und ihr in Sicherheit wohnt,
11 Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:	11 dann sollt ihr alles, wozu ich euch verpflichte, an die Stätte bringen, die der Herr, euer Gott, auswählt, indem er dort seinen Namen wohnen lässt: eure Brandopfertiere und Schlachtopfertiere, eure Zehnten und Handerhebungsopfer und alle eure auserlesenen Gaben, die ihr dem Herrn gelobt habt.
12 And ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you.	12 Dort sollt ihr vor dem Herrn, eurem Gott, fröhlich sein, ihr, eure Söhne und Töchter, eure Sklaven und Sklavinnen sowie die Leviten, die in euren Stadtbereichen Wohnrecht haben; denn der Levit hat nicht wie ihr Landanteil und Erbbesitz.
13 Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest:	13 Nimm dich in Acht! Verbrenn deine Brandopfertiere nicht an irgendeiner Stätte, die dir gerade vor die Augen kommt,
14 But in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.	14 sondern nur an der Stätte, die der Herr im Gebiet eines deiner Stämme auswählt. Dort sollst du deine Brandopfertiere verbrennen und dort sollst du alles ausführen, wozu ich dich verpflichte.
15 Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart.	15 Doch darfst du immer, wenn du es möchtest, und überall in deinen Stadtbereichen schlachten und Fleisch essen, so weit der Segen reicht, den dir der Herr, dein Gott, geschenkt hat. Jeder, der Reine wie der Unreine, darf davon essen, wie bei Gazelle und Damhirsch.
16 Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water.	16 Das Blut aber sollt ihr nicht genießen, sondern wie Wasser auf die Erde schütten.
17 Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill offerings, or heave offering of thine hand:	17 Auch darfst du in deinen Stadtbereichen nicht den Zehnten von Korn, Wein und Öl verzehren, die Erstlinge von Rindern, Schafen und Ziegen, alle Gaben, die du dem Herrn gelobt hast, die freiwilligen Gaben und deine Handerhebungsopfer.
18 But thou must eat them before the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.	18 Vor dem Herrn, deinem Gott, sollst du sie verzehren, an der Stätte, die der Herr, dein Gott, auswählen wird - du, dein Sohn und deine Tochter, dein Sklave und deine Sklavin sowie die Leviten, die in deinen Stadtbereichen Wohnrecht haben -, und du sollst vor dem Herrn, deinem Gott, fröhlich sein und dich freuen über alles, was deine Hände geschafft haben.
19 Take heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite as long as thou livest upon the earth.	19 Nimm dich in Acht, und lass die Leviten nicht im Stich, solange du im Land lebst.
20 When the LORD thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.	20 Wenn der Herr, dein Gott, dein Gebiet vergrößert, wie er es dir zugesagt hat, und du, weil du Appetit auf Fleisch hast, sagst: Ich möchte gern Fleisch essen, dann darfst du so viel Fleisch essen, wie du möchtest.
21 If the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to put his name there be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the LORD hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.	21 Und wenn die Entfernung zu der Stätte, die der Herr, dein Gott, auswählen wird, indem er dort seinen Namen anbringt, zu groß ist, dann schlachte, so wie ich es dir erlaubt habe, Rinder, Schafe oder Ziegen, die der Herr dir geschenkt hat, und iss in deinen Stadtbereichen, so viel du möchtest.
22 Even as the roebuck and the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat them: the unclean and the clean shall eat of them alike.	22 Auch sollst du davon essen, wie man von Gazelle und Damhirsch isst: Der Reine und der Unreine dürfen gemeinsam davon essen.
23 Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh.	23 Doch beherrsche dich und genieße kein Blut; denn Blut ist Lebenskraft und du sollst nicht zusammen mit dem Fleisch die Lebenskraft verzehren.
24 Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water.	24 Du sollst es nicht genießen, sondern wie Wasser auf die Erde schütten.
25 Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.	25 Du sollst es nicht genießen, damit es dir und später deinen Söhnen gut geht, weil du tust, was in den Augen des Herrn richtig ist.
26 Only thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou shalt take, and go unto the place which the LORD shall choose:	26 Die heiligen Abgaben jedoch, zu denen du verpflichtet bist, und die Gaben, die du selbst dem Herrn gelobt hast, sollst du aufladen und du sollst damit zu der Stätte ziehen, die der Herr auswählen wird.
27 And thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the LORD thy God: and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh.	27 Dort sollst du deine Brandopfertiere auf dem Altar des Herrn, deines Gottes, darbringen, das Fleisch und das Blut. Bei deinen Schlachtopfertieren soll das Blut auf den Altar des Herrn, deines Gottes, geschüttet werden, das Fleisch sollst du essen.
28 Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy God.	28 Achte und höre auf alle diese Worte, auf die ich dich verpflichte, damit es dir und später deinen Söhnen immer gut geht, weil du tust, was in den Augen des Herrn, deines Gottes, gut und richtig ist.
29 When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;	29 Wenn der Herr, dein Gott, die Völker, in deren Land du hineinziehst, um ihren Besitz zu übernehmen, vor dir niedergestreckt hat, wenn du ihren Besitz übernommen hast und dort wohnst,
30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.	30 dann nimm dich in Acht! Lauf nicht hinter ihnen her in die Falle, nachdem sie bei deinem Angriff vernichtet worden sind. Erkundige dich nicht nach ihren Göttern und frag nicht: Wie dienen denn diese Völker ihren Göttern? Ich will das Gleiche tun wie sie.
31 Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.	31 Wenn du dem Herrn, deinem Gott, dienst, sollst du nicht das Gleiche tun wie sie; denn sie haben, wenn sie ihren Göttern dienten, alle Gräuel begangen, die der Herr hasst. Sie haben sogar ihre Söhne und Töchter im Feuer verbrannt, wenn sie ihren Göttern dienten.
32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
