Zechariah 4

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep,	1 L'ange qui me parlait revint et me réveilla comme un homme qui est tiré de son sommeil.
2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:	2 Et il me dit: "Que vois-tu?" Je répondis: "Je regarde, et voici: il y a un lampadaire tout en or, avecun réservoir à son sommet; sept lampes sont sur le lampadaire ainsi que sept becs pour les lampes qui sontdessus.
3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.	3 Près de lui sont deux oliviers, l'un à sa droite, l'autre à sa gauche."
4 So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?	4 Prenant la parole, je dis à l'ange qui me parlait: "Que signifient ces choses, mon Seigneur?"
5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.	5 L'ange qui me parlait me répondit: "Ne sais-tu pas ce que signifient ces choses?" Je dis: "Non, monSeigneur."
6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.	6 Alors il me répondit en ces termes: Voici la parole de Yahvé touchant Zorobabel: Ce n'est pas parla puissance, ni par la force, mais par mon Esprit - dit Yahvé Sabaot.
7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.	7 Qu'es-tu, grande montagne? Devant Zorobabel, deviens une plaine! Il arrachera la pierre de faîte,tandis qu'on criera: "Bravo, bravo pour elle!"
8 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	8 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:
9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.	9 Les mains de Zorobabel ont fondé ce Temple: ses mains l'achèveront. (Et vous saurez que YahvéSabaot m'a envoyé vers vous.)
10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.	10 Car qui donc méprisait ce jour d'événements minimes? On se réjouira en voyant la pierre choisieen la main de Zorobabel. "Ces sept-là sont les yeux de Yahvé, ils vont par toute la terre."
11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?	11 Je pris alors la parole et lui dis: "Que signifient ces deux oliviers, à droite du chandelier et à sagauche?"
12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?	12 (Je repris la parole et lui dis: "Que signifient les deux branches d'olivier qui, par les deux tuyauxd'or, dispensent l'huile"?)
13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.	13 Il me répondit: "Ne sais-tu pas ce que signifient ces choses?" Je dis: "Non, mon Seigneur."
14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the LORD of the whole earth.	14 Il dit: "Ce sont les deux Oints qui se tiennent devant le Seigneur de toute la terre."
