Ezekiel 35

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	1 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:
2 Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,	2 Fils d'homme, tourne-toi vers la montagne de Séïr et prophétise contre elle.
3 And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.	3 Tu lui diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Voici que je me déclare contre toi, montagne de Séïr,et j'étends la main contre toi; je te transformerai en solitude désolée;
4 I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.	4 je réduirai tes villes en ruines. Tu deviendras une solitude et tu sauras que je suis Yahvé.
5 Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:	5 Parce que tu nourrissais une haine éternelle et que tu as livré à l'épée les Israélites, au jour de leurdétresse, au jour du crime final,
6 Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee.	6 eh bien! par ma vie, oracle du Seigneur Yahvé, je vais t'ensanglanter et le sang te poursuivra. Je lejure, tu t'es rendue coupable en versant le sang, le sang te poursuivra.
7 Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth.	7 Je ferai de la montagne de Séïr une solitude désolée, et j'en retrancherai quiconque parcourt lepays.
8 And I will fill his mountains with his slain men: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword.	8 J'emplirai ses montagnes de victimes; sur tes collines, dans tes vallées et dans tous tes ravins, ilstomberont victimes de l'épée.
9 I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.	9 Je ferai de toi des solitudes éternelles, tes villes ne seront plus habitées, et vous saurez que je suisYahvé.
10 Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there:	10 Parce que tu as dit: "Les deux nations et les deux pays seront à moi, nous allons en prendrepossession", alors que Yahvé y était,
11 Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee.	11 eh bien! par ma vie, oracle du Seigneur Yahvé, j'agirai selon la colère et la jalousie aveclesquelles tu as agi dans ta haine contre eux. Je me ferai connaître, à cause d'eux, lorsque je te châtierai,
12 And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume.	12 et tu sauras que moi, Yahvé, j'ai entendu toutes les insolences que tu as prononcées contre lesmontagnes d'Israël en disant: "Elles sont dévastées, elles nous ont été données pour les dévorer."
13 Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them.	13 Grande fut votre insolence à mon égard, nombreux vos discours contre moi, et j'ai tout entendu.
14 Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate.	14 Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé: A la joie de tout le pays je ferai de toi une désolation.
15 As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD.	15 Comme tu as éprouvé de la joie parce que l'héritage de la maison d'Israël avait été dévasté, je tetraiterai de la même manière. Tu seras changée en désolation, montagne de Séïr, ainsi qu'Edom tout entier, et onsaura que je suis Yahvé.
