1 The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;	1 Dem Musikmeister; ein Psalm von David.
2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;	2 Der HERR erhöre dich am Tage der Drangsal,es schütze dich der Name des Gottes Jakobs!
3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.	3 Er sende dir Hilfe vom Heiligtum herund leiste dir Beistand von Zion aus!
4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.	4 Er gedenke aller deiner Speisopfer (oder: Gaben)und sehe dein Brandopfer wohlgefällig an! SELA.
5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.	5 Er gewähre dir, was dein Herz begehrt,und lasse all deine Pläne gelingen!
6 Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.	6 Dann wollen wir jubeln ob deinem Heilund im Namen unsers Gottes die Fahnen entfalten (oder: schwingen):der HERR erfülle dir all deine Wünsche! –
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.	7 Jetzt weiß ich, der HERR hilft seinem Gesalbten:er erhört ihn aus seinem heiligen Himmeldurch die hilfreichen Taten seiner Rechten.
8 They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.	8 Diese sind stark durch Wagen und jene durch Rosse,doch wir sind stark durch den Namen des HERRN, unsers Gottes.
9 Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.	9 Sie stürzen nieder und fallen,doch wir stehn fest und halten uns aufrecht.
	10 O HERR, hilf (= verleihe den Sieg) dem König!Erhör’ uns, sooft wir (dich) anrufen!
