Psalms 122

KING JAMES BIBLE	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.	1 I have lifted up my eyes to the mountains, from whence help shall come to me.
2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.	2 My help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
3 Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:	3 May he not suffer thy foot to be moved: neither let him slumber that keepeth thee.
4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.	4 Behold he shall neither slumber nor sleep, that keepeth Israel.
5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.	5 The Lord is thy keeper, the Lord is thy protection upon thy right hand.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.	6 The sun shall not burn thee by day: nor the moon by night.
7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.	7 The Lord keepeth thee from all evil: may the Lord keep thy soul.
8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.	8 May the Lord keep thy going in and thy going out; from henceforth now and for ever.
9 Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
