1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.	1 Cantique des montées. De David. J’étais tout joyeux quand on m’a dit “Allons à la maison du Seigneur!”
2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.	2 Nos pas nous ont conduits jusqu’à toi, jusqu’à tes portes, Jérusalem,
3 Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:	3 Jérusalem, la ville bien bâtie où tout s’assemble dans l’unité.
4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.	4 C’est là que montent les tribus, - les tribus du Seigneur, l’assemblée d’Israël - pour louer le nom du Seigneur.
5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.	5 Là se tiennent les cours de justice, les ministères de la maison de David.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.	6 Demandez pour Jérusalem la paix, et la sécurité pour qui la porte en son cœur.
7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.	7 Que la paix garde tes murs et la sécurité soit en tes palais!
8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.	8 Je pense à mes amis, à mes frères, lorsque je demande pour toi la paix.
9 Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.	9 Je pense à la maison du Seigneur notre Dieu et je voudrais pour toi tous les biens.
