1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,	1 Bildad di Suach prese a dire:
2 Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.	2 «Dominio e terrore sono con lui, che impone la pace nell’alto dei cieli.
3 Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?	3 Si possono forse contare le sue schiere? E su chi non sorge la sua luce?
4 How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?	4 Come può essere giusto un uomo davanti a Dio e come può essere puro un nato da donna?
5 Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.	5 Ecco, la luna stessa manca di chiarore e le stelle non sono pure ai suoi occhi:
6 How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?	6 tanto meno l’uomo, che è un verme, l’essere umano, che è una larva».
