1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,	1 Jahvè parlò a Mosè:
2 See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:	2 «Vedi! Io ho chiamato per nome Bezaleel figlio di Uri, figlio di Khur, della tribù di Giuda,
3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,	3 e l’ho riempito dello spirito di Dio che gli ha impartito saggezza, abilità e perizia per ogni genere di lavori,
4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,	4 per ideare progetti, per lavorare in oro, argento, bronzo,
5 And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.	5 per l’arte di trattare le pietre da incastonare, per l’arte di scolpire il legno e di compiere ogni genere di lavori.
6 And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee;	6 Inoltre gli ho dato come compagno Oholiab, figlio di Akhisamach, della tribù di Dan e, nel cuore di ogni artista, ho aggiunto nuova saggezza affinché eseguiscano quanto ti ho ordinato:
7 The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is thereupon, and all the furniture of the tabernacle,	7 la Tenda del convegno, l’arca della Testimonianza, l'espiatorio che è su di essa e tutte le suppellettili della Tenda,
8 And the table and his furniture, and the pure candlestick with all his furniture, and the altar of incense,	8 la tavola con le suppellettili, il candelabro puro con tutte le suppellettili, l’altare del profumo,
9 And the altar of burnt offering with all his furniture, and the laver and his foot,	9 l’altare dell’olocausto con tutte le suppellettili, la conca e la sua base;
10 And the cloths of service, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office,	10 le vesti prescritte, le vesti sacre per il sacerdote Aronne e le vesti che dovranno indossare i suoi figli nell’esercizio delle funzioni sacerdotali,
11 And the anointing oil, and sweet incense for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do.	11 l’olio dell’unzione e il profumo degli aromi per il santuario: eseguiranno ogni cosa secondo quanto ti ho ordinato».
12 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,	12 Jahvè parlò a Mosè:
13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.	13 «Di ai figli di Israele: “ Osserverete attentamente il mio sabato, poiché è un segno tra me, voi e le vostre generazioni, affinché si sappia che sono io, Jahvè, colui che vi santifica.
14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.	14 Osserverete dunque il sabato, poiché è sacro per voi. Chi lo profanerà sarà messo a morte, chiunque in quel giorno farà un lavoro sarà reciso dalla sua parentela.
15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.	15 Si lavorerà per sei giorni ma al settimo vi sarà riposo assoluto, sacro a Jahvè; chiunque farà un lavoro di sabato sarà messo a morte.
16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.	16 I figli di Israele osserveranno il sabato, celebrandolo nelle loro generazioni come alleanza perpetua.
17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.	17 Esso è un segno perpetuo tra me e i figli di Israele, poiché in sei giorni Jahvè fece il cielo e la terra ma nel settimo riposò e prese fiato”»,
18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.	18 Quando ebbe finito di parlare con Mosè sul monte Sinai, gli diede le due tavole della testimonianza, tavole di pietra, scritte dal dito di Dio.
