KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Szeressétek az igazságot, ti föld bírái! Gondoljatok az Úrra jó lélekkel, keressétek őt szívetek egyszerűségében,	1 Love uprightness you who are rulers on earth, be properly disposed towards the Lord and seek him insimplicity of heart;
2 mert azok találnak rá, akik nem kísértik, s azoknak nyilvánítja ki magát, akik bíznak benne!	2 for he wil be found by those who do not put him to the test, revealing himself to those who do notmistrust him.
3 Az aljas gondolatok ugyanis eltávolítanak Istentől, s a próbára tett hatalom megfeddi a balgákat.	3 Perverse thoughts, however, separate people from God, and power, when put to the test, confounds thestupid.
4 Mert nem tér a bölcsesség gonosz szándékú lélekbe, és nem lakik bűnnek adózó testben.	4 Wisdom wil never enter the soul of a wrong-doer, nor dwell in a body enslaved to sin;
5 Hisz a fegyelem szent lelke menekül a hamisságtól, távol tartja magát az esztelen gondolatoktól, és visszariad, ha igaztalanság közelít.	5 for the holy spirit of instruction flees deceitfulness, recoils from unintel igent thoughts, is thwarted by theonset of vice.
6 A bölcsesség emberbarát lélek ugyan, de nem hagyja büntetlenül a káromló ajkának vétkét, mert Isten az ember veséit kutatja, a szívét jól megvizsgálja, és nyelvét meghallgatja.	6 Wisdom is a spirit friendly to humanity, though she will not let a blasphemer's words go unpunished;since God observes the very soul and accurately surveys the heart, listening to every word.
7 Az Úr lelke ugyanis betölti a földkerekséget, s aki egybefogja a mindenséget, az tud is minden szóról!	7 For the spirit of the Lord fil s the world, and that which holds everything together knows every word said.
8 Ezért senki sem maradhat rejtve, aki igaztalant beszél, nem kerüli el azt a büntető igazság,	8 No one who speaks what is wrong will go undetected, nor will avenging Justice pass by such a one.
9 mert az istentelennek számot kell adnia fondorlataiért, és beszédeinek híre eljut az Istenhez, hogy gonoszságai elvegyék büntetésüket.	9 For the schemes of the godless wil be examined, and a report of his words wil reach the Lord toconvict him of his crimes.
10 Hisz mindent meghall a féltékeny fül, s a zúgolódás moraja nem marad rejtve!	10 There is a jealous ear that overhears everything, not even a murmur of complaint escapes it.
11 Kerüljétek tehát a hasztalan zúgolódást, s óvjátok nyelveteket a rágalomtól, mert beszéd titokban sem hangzik el büntetlenül, s a hazug száj megöli a lelket.	11 So beware of uttering frivolous complaints, restrain your tongue from finding fault; even what is said insecret has repercussions, and a lying mouth deals death to the soul.
12 Ne törjétek magatokat a halál után tévelygő életetekkel, ne siettessétek romlástokat kezetek munkájával!	12 Do not court death by the errors of your ways, nor invite destruction through the work of your hands.
13 Hisz Isten nem alkotta a halált, és nem leli örömét az élők vesztén.	13 For God did not make Death, he takes no pleasure in destroying the living.
14 Azért teremtett mindent, hogy legyen, s a földkerekség nemzedékeit gyógyulásra szánta. Nincs meg bennük a romlás mérge, és nincs a földön az alvilág országa!	14 To exist -- for this he created all things; the creatures of the world have health in them, in them is nofatal poison, and Hades has no power over the world:
15 Az igazság ugyanis örök és halhatatlan.	15 for uprightness is immortal.
16 A gonoszok azonban kézzel és szóval magukhoz édesgetik a halált, a barátjuknak hiszik, sorvadnak utána, szövetségre lépnek vele, és méltók is arra, hogy martalékává legyenek.	16 But the godless cal for Death with deed and word, counting him friend, they wear themselves out forhim; with him they make a pact, worthy as they are to belong to him.
