Revelation 11

1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and it was said to me: Arise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar and them that adore therein.	1 Und man gab mir ein Rohr in der Art eines Meßstabes und sagte: "Steh auf und miß den Tempel Gottes und den Altar und die Beter darin!
2 But the court, which is without the temple, cast out, and measure it not: because it is given unto the Gentiles, and the holy city they shall tread under foot two and forty months:	2 Den Vorhof aber außerhalb des Tempels laß beiseite und miß ihn nicht; denn er ist den Heiden gegeben. Sie werden die Heilige Stadt zertreten zweiundvierzig Monate lang.
3 And I will give unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.	3 Und ich werde Weisung geben meinen zwei Zeugen, und sie werden weissagen zwölfhundertsechzig Tage lang, mit Säcken bekleidet."
4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks, that stand before the Lord of the earth.	4 Sie sind die zwei Ölbäume und die zwei Leuchter, die vor dem Herrn der Erde stehen.
5 And if any man will hurt them, fire shall come out of their mouths, and shall devour their enemies. And if any man will hurt them, in this manner must he be slain.	5 Will jemand ihnen Böses zufügen, so kommt Feuer aus ihrem Mund und verzehrt ihre Feinde; ja, wenn einer ihnen Böses antun wollte, er müßte auf diese Weise sterben.
6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and they have power over waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues as often as they will.	6 Sie haben die Macht, den Himmel zu verschließen, daß es nicht regne in den Tagen ihrer Weissagung, und sie haben Macht über die Wasser, um sie in Blut zu verwandeln, und die Erde zu schlagen mit jeder Plage, sooft sie wollen.
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast, that ascendeth out of the abyss, shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.	7 Wenn sie ihr Zeugnis zu Ende geführt haben, wird das Tier, das aus dem Abgrund heraufsteigt, Krieg mit ihnen führen. sie überwinden und sie töten.
8 And their bodies shall lie in the streets of the great city, which is called spiritually, Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord also was crucified.	8 Ihr Leichnam wird liegenbleiben auf der Straße der großen Stadt, die geistig Sodoma und Ägypten genannt wird, in der auch ihr Herr gekreuzigt wurde.
9 And they of the tribes, and peoples, and tongues, and nations, shall see their bodies for three days and a half: and they shall not suffer their bodies to be laid in sepulchres.	9 Menschen aus den Völkern und Stämmen, Sprachen und Nationen werden dreieinhalb Tage ihren Leichnam liegen sehen, und es wird nicht gestattet, daß ihre Leichen in ein Grab gelegt werden.
10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry: and shall send gifts one to another, because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt upon the earth.	10 Die Bewohner der Erde freuen sich darüber und frohlocken und werden sich gegenseitig beschenken, weil diese zwei Propheten die Bewohner der Erde bedrängt hatten.
11 And after three days and a half, the spirit of life from God entered into them. And they stood upon their feet, and great fear fell upon them that saw them.	11 Doch nach dreieinhalb Tagen fuhr Lebensgeist von Gott her in sie, und sie stellten sich auf ihre Füße, und große Furcht fiel über alle, die sie sahen.
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven, saying to them: Come up hither. And they went up to heaven in a cloud: and their enemies saw them.	12 Und sie vernahmen eine laute Stimme, die ihnen vom Himmel her zurief: "Steigt hier herauf!" Und sie stiegen zum Himmel empor in der Wolke, und ihre Feinde sahen ihnen zu.
13 And at that hour there was made a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell: and there were slain in the earthquake names of men seven thousand: and the rest were cast into a fear, and gave glory to the God of heaven.	13 In jener Stunde kam es zu einem starken Erdbeben, und der zehnte Teil der Stadt stürzte ein, und bei dem Erdbeben kamen siebentausend Menschen um. Die übrigen aber gerieten in Furcht und gaben dem Gott des Himmels die Ehre.
14 The second woe is past: and behold the third woe will come quickly.	14 Das zweite "Wehe" ist vorüber. Siehe, das dritte "Wehe" kommt schnell.
15 And the seventh angel sounded the trumpet: and there were great voices in heaven, saying: The kingdom of this world is become our Lord's and his Christ's, and he shall reign for ever and ever. Amen.	15 Es blies der siebente Engel: da erschollen laute Stimmen im Himmel, die riefen: "Aufgerichtet wurde das Weltreich unseres Herrn und seines Gesalbten, er wird herrschen in alle Ewigkeit. [Amen.]"
16 And the four and twenty ancients, who sit on their seats in the sight of God, fell on their faces and adored God, saying:	16 Die vierundzwanzig Ältesten, die vor Gott auf ihren Thronen sitzen, fielen auf ihr Angesicht nieder, beteten Gott an und sprachen:
17 We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, who art, and who wast, and who art to come: because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and thou hast reigned.	17 "Wir danken dir, Herr, Gott, Allherrscher, der ist und der war [und der kommt], daß du deine große Macht ergriffen und angetreten hast deine Herrschaft.
18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest render reward to thy servants the prophets and the saints, and to them that fear thy name, little and great, and shouldest destroy them who have corrupted the earth.	18 Die Heidenvölker waren ergrimmt, da kam dein strafender Zorn und die Stunde zum Gericht für die Toten und zur Belohnung für deine Knechte, die Propheten und die Heiligen, und für alle, die deinen Namen fürchten, die Kleinen und Großen, und zur Vernichtung derer, die die Erde verderben."
19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven: and the ark of his testament was seen in his temple, and there were lightnings, and voices, and an earthquake, and great hail.	19 Da wurde der Tempel Gottes im Himmel aufgetan, und die Lade seines Bundes war zu sehen in seinem Tempel, und es folgten Blitze und dröhnender Schall, Beben und starker Hagel.
