1 And thou son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel, and say: Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord:	1 Y tú, hijo de hombre, profetiza sobre los montes de Israel. Diles: «Montes de Israel, escuchad la palabra del Señor.
2 Thus saith the Lord God: Because the enemy hath said of you: Aha, the everlasting heights are given to us for an inheritance.	2 Esto dice el Señor Dios: “Porque vuestro enemigo ha dicho: ¡Bien! ¡Estas viejas colinas ya son nuestras!”,
3 Therefore prophesy, and say: Thus saith the Lord God: Because you have been desolate, and trodden under foot on every side, and made an inheritance to the rest of the nations, and are become the subject of the talk, and the reproach of the people:	3 por eso profetiza y di: Esto dice el Señor Dios: “Porque de todas partes os codiciaban para dejaros devastados, hasta quedar en poder de las demás naciones; porque andáis en la boca de la gente y sois objeto de habladurías”,
4 Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God: Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the brooks, and to the valleys, and to desolate places, and ruinous walls, and to the cities that are forsaken, that are spoiled, and derided by the rest of the nations round about.	4 por eso, montañas de Israel, escuchad la palabra del Señor Dios: Esto dice el Señor Dios, a los montes y a las colinas, a los torrentes y a los valles, a las ruinas desoladas y a las ciudades abandonadas, saqueadas y escarnecidas por las naciones vecinas.
5 Therefore thus saith the Lord God: In the fire of my zeal I have spoken of the rest of the nations, and of all Edom, who have taken my land to themselves, for an inheritance with joy, and with all the heart, and with the mind: and have cast it out to lay it waste.	5 Sí, esto dice el Señor Dios: “Juro, en el ardor de mi ira, que presentaré mi alegato contra el resto de las naciones y contra todo Edón, porque con gran regocijo y profundo desprecio se apoderaron de mi tierra para saquearla y dejarla despoblada”.
6 Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say to the mountains, and to the hills, to the ridges, and to the valleys: Thus saith the Lord God: Behold I have spoken in my zeal, and in my indignation, because you have borne the shame of the Gentiles.	6 Por eso, profetiza sobre la tierra de Israel, y di a los montes y a las colinas, a los torrentes y a los valles: Esto dice el Señor Dios: “Hablo con ira y furor. Porque habéis soportado el ultraje de las naciones”,
7 Therefore thus saith the Lord God: I have lifted up my hand, that the Gentiles who are round about you, shall themselves bear their shame.	7 por ello, así dice el Señor Dios: “Lo juro con la mano en alto: las naciones que os rodean, ellas deberán cargar con sus ultrajes.
8 But as for you, O mountains of Israel, shoot ye forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel: for they are at hand to come.	8 Y vosotros, montes de Israel, echaréis vuestras ramas y daréis vuestros frutos para mi pueblo Israel, que está por llegar.
9 For lo I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be ploughed and sown.	9 A vosotros me vuelvo y me dirijo: otra vez seréis labrados y sembrados.
10 And I will multiply men upon you, and all the house of Israel: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the ruinous places shall be repaired.	10 Acrecentaré sobre vosotros la población de la casa de Israel, repoblarán las ciudades y reconstruirán las ruinas.
11 And I will make you abound with men and with beasts: and they shall be multiplied, and increased: and I will settle you as from the beginning, and will give you greater gifts, than you had from the beginning: and you shall know that I am the Lord.	11 Multiplicaré vuestra gente y el ganado, serán numerosos y fecundos, os haré tan poblados como antaño, seré más generoso que al principio, y sabréis que yo soy el Señor.
12 And I will bring men upon you, my people Israel, and they shall possess thee for their inheritance: and thou shalt be their inheritance, and shalt no more henceforth be without them.	12 Haré que transite por vuestro territorio la gente de mi pueblo Israel, tomarán posesión de vosotros y seréis su heredad, y no volveréis a privarlos de sus hijos”.
13 Thus saith the Lord God: Because they say of you: Thou art a devourer of men, and one that suffocatest thy nation:	13 Esto dice el Señor Dios: “Porque andan diciendo de vosotros que devoráis a vuestra gente y habéis dejado sin hijos a vuestro propio pueblo,
14 Therefore thou shalt devour men no more, nor destroy thy nation any more, saith the Lord God:	14 por eso no volverás a devorar a tu gente, ni dejarás sin hijos a tu pueblo —oráculo del Señor Dios—.
15 Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the nations any more, nor shalt thou bear the reproach of the people, nor lose thy nation any more, saith the Lord God.	15 No tendrás que escuchar el ultraje de las naciones, ni soportar el sarcasmo de los pueblos, ni volverás a privar a tu pueblo de sus hijos” —oráculo del Señor Dios—».
16 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:	16 Me vino esta palabra del Señor:
17 Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it with their ways, and with their doings: their way was before me like the uncleanness of a menstruous woman.	17 «Hijo de hombre, la casa de Israel profanó con su conducta y sus acciones la tierra en que habitaba. Su conducta era a mis ojos como la impureza de la regla.
18 And I poured out my indignation upon them for the blood which they had shed upon the land, and with their idols they defiled it.	18 Me enfurecí contra ellos, por la sangre que habían derramado en el país, y por haberlo profanado con sus ídolos.
19 And I scattered them among the nations, and they are dispersed through the countries: I have judged them according to their ways, and their devices.	19 Los dispersé por las naciones, y anduvieron dispersos por diversos países. Los he juzgado según su conducta y sus acciones.
20 And when they entered among the nations whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when it was said of them: This is the people of the Lord, and they are come forth out of his land.	20 Al llegar a las diversas naciones, profanaron mi santo nombre, ya que de ellos se decía: “Estos son el pueblo del Señor y han debido abandonar su tierra”.
21 And I have regarded my own holy name, which the house of Israel hath profaned among the nations to which they went in.	21 Así que tuve que defender mi santo nombre, profanado por la casa de Israel entre las naciones adonde había ido.
22 Therefore thou shalt say to the house of Israel: Thus saith the Lord God: It is not for your sake that I will do this, O house of Israel, but for my holy name's sake, which you have profaned among the nations whither you went.	22 Por eso, di a la casa de Israel: “Esto dice el Señor Dios: No hago esto por vosotros, casa de Israel, sino por mi santo nombre, profanado por vosotros en las naciones a las que fuisteis.
23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the Gentiles, which you have profaned in the midst of them: that the Gentiles may know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord of hosts, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.	23 Manifestaré la santidad de mi gran nombre, profanado entre los gentiles, porque vosotros lo habéis profanado en medio de ellos. Reconocerán las naciones que yo soy el Señor —oráculo del Señor Dios—, cuando por medio de vosotros les haga ver mi santidad.
24 For I will take you from among the Gentiles, and will gather you together out of all the countries, and will bring you into your own land.	24 Os recogeré de entre las naciones, os reuniré de todos los países y os llevaré a vuestra tierra.
25 And I will pour upon you clean water, and you shall be cleansed from all your filthiness, and I will cleanse you from all your idols.	25 Derramaré sobre vosotros un agua pura que os purificará: de todas vuestras inmundicias e idolatrías os he de purificar;
26 And I will give you a new heart, and put a new spirit within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and will give you a heart of flesh.	26 y os daré un corazón nuevo, y os infundiré un espíritu nuevo; arrancaré de vuestra carne el corazón de piedra, y os daré un corazón de carne.
27 And I will put my spirit in the midst of you: and I will cause you to walk in my commandments, and to keep my judgments, and do them.	27 Os infundiré mi espíritu, y haré que caminéis según mis preceptos, y que guardéis y cumpláis mis mandatos.
28 And you shall dwell in the land which I gave to your fathers, and you shall be my people, and I will be your God.	28 Y habitaréis en la tierra que di a vuestros padres. Vosotros seréis mi pueblo, y yo seré vuestro Dios.
29 And I will save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for corn, and will multiply it, and will lay no famine upon you.	29 Os libraré de vuestras impurezas, convocaré el trigo y lo haré abundar y no volveréis a pasar hambre.
30 And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the held, that you bear no more the reproach of famine among the nations.	30 Multiplicaré los frutos de los árboles y la cosecha del campo, para que no soportéis más la afrenta del hambre entre las naciones.
31 And you shall remember your wicked ways, and your doings that were not good: and your iniquities, and your wicked deeds shall displease you.	31 Y cuando os acordéis de vuestra conducta perversa y de vuestras malas acciones, sentiréis vergüenza por vuestras culpas y acciones detestables.
32 It is not for your sakes that I will do this, saith the Lord God, be it known to you: be confounded, and ashamed at your own ways, O house of Israel.	32 Sabedlo bien, no lo hago por vosotros —oráculo del Señor Dios—; avergonzaos y sonrojaos de vuestra conducta, casa de Israel”».
33 Thus saith the Lord God: In the day that I shall cleanse you from all your iniquities, and shall cause the cities to be inhabited, and shall repair the ruinous places,	33 Esto dice el Señor Dios: «Cuando os purifique de vuestras culpas, repoblaré las ciudades y serán reconstruidas las ruinas.
34 And the desolate land shall be tilled, which before was waste in the sight of all that passed by,	34 Volverán a labrar la tierra desolada, que los caminantes veían desierta.
35 They shall say: This land that was untilled is become as a garden of pleasure: and the cities that were abandoned, and desolate, and destroyed, are peopled and fenced.	35 Entonces se dirá: “Esta tierra que estaba desolada se ha convertido en un jardín de Edén, y las ciudades arrasadas, desiertas y destruidas, son plazas fuertes habitadas”.
36 And the nations, that shall be left round about you, shall know that I the Lord have built up what was destroyed, and planted what was desolate, that I the Lord have spoken and done it.	36 Entonces las naciones que queden a vuestro alrededor reconocerán que yo, el Señor, reedifico lo destruido y vuelvo a plantar en tierra arrasada”. Yo, el Señor, lo digo y lo hago.
37 Thus saith the Lord God: Moreover in this shall the house of Israel find me, that I will do it for them: I will multiply them as a flock of men,	37 Esto dice el Señor Dios: “También dejaré que la casa de Israel me suplique y la acrecentaré como un rebaño humano.
38 As a holy dock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts: so shall the waste cities be full of flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the Lord.	38 Como un rebaño consagrado en Jerusalén durante las fiestas, así las ciudades en ruinas se llenarán de rebaños humanos, y sabrán que yo soy el Señor”».
