1 Take unto thee also Aaron thy brother with his sons, from among the children of Israel, that they may minister to me in the priest's office: Aaron, Nadab, and Abiu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.	1 Laß deinen Bruder Aaron und seine Söhne aus der Reihe der Israeliten zu dir kommen; als Priester soll er mir dienen, also Aaron, Nadab und Abihu, Eleasar und Itamar, die Söhne Aarons.
2 And thou shalt make a holy vesture for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty.	2 Dann lasse deinem Bruder heilige Gewänder nähen, die ihm zur Auszeichnung und Zierde dienen.
3 And thou shalt speak to all the wise of heart, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's vestments, in which he being consecrated may minister to me.	3 Rede auch mit allen Kunstverständigen, die ich mit dem Geiste der Weisheit erfüllt habe: sie sollen die Gewänder für Aaron anfertigen, damit man ihn weihe und er mir als Priester diene.
4 And these shall be the vestments that they shall make: A rational and an ephod, a tunick and a strait linen garment, a mitre and a girdle. They shall make the holy vestments for thy brother Aaron and his sons, that they may do the office of priesthood unto me.	4 Dies sind die Gewänder, die man anfertigen soll: Brustschild, Ephod, Obergewand, bunter Leibrock, Kopfbund und Gürtel. Heilige Gewänder soll man also für deinen Bruder Aaron - und für seine Söhne anfertigen, damit er mir als Priester diene.
5 And they shall take gold, and violet, and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine linen.	5 Man soll dazu Gold, violette Purpurwolle, roten Purpur, karmesinroten Stoff und Byssus verwerten.
6 And they shall make the ephod of gold, and violet, and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine twisted linen, embroidered with divers colours.	6 Das Ephod soll man aus Gold, violetter Purpurwolle, rotem Purpur, karmesinfarbigem Stoff, in gezwirntem Byssus als Kunstwirkerarbeit herstellen.
7 It shall have the two edges joined in the top on both sides, that they may be closed together.	7 Es soll zwei verbundene Schulterstücke haben; an seinen beiden Enden soll es verbunden sein.
8 The very workmanship also and all the variety of the work shall be of gold, and violet, and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine twisted linen.	8 Die Binde, die sich an ihm zum Anlegen befindet, soll von gleicher Machart und aus einem Stück mit ihm sein, aus Gold, aus violetter Purpurwolle, aus rotem Purpur, karmesinfarbenem Stoff und gezwirntem Byssus.
9 And thou shalt take two onyx stones, and shalt grave on them the names of the children of Israel:	9 Nimm dann zwei Karneolsteine und schneide darauf die Namen der Söhne Israels ein.
10 Six names on one stone, and the other six on the other, according to the order of their birth.	10 Sechs Namen auf den ersten Stein und die anderen sechs Namen auf den zweiten Stein nach der Reihenfolge ihrer Geburt.
11 With the work of an engraver and the graving of a jeweller, thou shalt engrave them with the names of the children of Israel, set in gold and compassed about:	11 So wie der Steinschneider Gravierungen auf Siegeln herstellt, so sollst du beide Steine mit den Namenszeichen der Söhne Israels versehen, umrahmt von Goldfassungen.
12 And thou shalt put them in both sides of the ephod, a memorial for the children of Israel. And Aaron shall bear their names before the Lord upon both shoulders, for a remembrance.	12 Setze die beiden Steine auf die Schulterstücke des Ephod als Steine der Erinnerung an die Söhne Israels. Aaron soll ihre Namen auf seinen beiden Schulterstücken vor dem Herrn zum Gedächtnis tragen.
13 Thou shalt make also hooks of gold.	13 Stelle also die Einfassungen von Gold her,
14 And two little chains of the purest gold linked one to another, which thou shalt put into the hooks.	14 dazu zwei Kettchen aus reinem Golde; drehe sie in der Art einer Schnur und befestige die schnurartigen Kettchen an den Einfassungen.
15 And thou shalt make the rational of judgment with embroidered work of divers colours, according to the workmanship of the ephod, of gold, violet, and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine twisted linen.	15 Du sollst ein Brustschild des Schiedsrichterspruches herstellen; als Kunstwirkerarbeit in der Art des Ephod stelle es her; fertige es aus Gold, aus violetter Purpurwolle, rotem Purpur, karmesinfarbenem Stoff und gezwirntem Byssus!
16 It shall be foursquare and doubled: it shall be the measure of a span both in length and in breadth.	16 Es soll quadratisch sein, doppelt gelegt, eine Spanne lang und eine Spanne breit.
17 And thou shalt set in it four rows of stones: in the first row shall be a sardius stone, and a topaz, and an emerald:	17 Schmücke es mit einem Besatz von Edelsteinen, insgesamt vier Reihen! Die erste Reihe: Rubin, Chrysolith und Smaragd.
18 In the second a carbuncle, a sapphire and a jasper.	18 Die zweite Reihe: Türkis, Lasurstein und Jaspis.
19 In the third a ligurius, an agate, and an amethyst:	19 Die dritte Reihe: Hyazinth, Achat und Amethyst.
20 In the fourth a chrysolite, an onyx, and a beryl. They shall be set in gold by their rows.	20 Die vierte Reihe: Tarsis, Karneol und Nephrit; goldgefaßt seien sie in ihren Reihen.
21 And they shall have the names of the children of Israel: with twelve names shall they be engraved, each stone with the name of one according to the twelve tribes.	21 Die Steine sollen die Namen der Söhne Israels tragen, zwölf entsprechend ihren Namen. Siegelstecherarbeiten mit den entsprechenden Namen sollen es sein nach den zwölf Stämmen.
22 And thou shalt make on the rational chains linked one to another of the purest gold:	22 Für das Brustschild stelle gedrehte Kettchen her nach Art von Schnüren aus reinem Gold.
23 And two rings of gold, which thou shalt put in the two ends at the top of the rational.	23 Dann verfertige für das Brustschild zwei goldene Ringe und befestige beide an den zwei Enden des Brustschildes.
24 And the golden chains thou shalt join to the rings, that are in the ends thereof:	24 Sodann bringe die beiden goldenen Schnüre an den zwei Ringen der Enden des Brustschildes an.
25 And the ends of the chains themselves thou shalt join together with two hooks on both sides of the ephod, which is towards the rational.	25 Die beiden anderen Enden der Schnüre befestige an den Einfassungen; hänge es an die Schulterstücke des Ephod auf dessen vordere Seite!
26 Thou shalt make also two rings of gold which thou shalt put in the top parts of the rational, in the borders that are over against the ephod, and look towards the back parts thereof.	26 Stelle noch zwei goldene Ringe her und bringe sie auf den beiden anderen Enden des Brustschildes an, auf seinem inneren Rande, der dem Ephod zugekehrt ist.
27 Moreover also other two rings of gold, which are to be set on each side of the ephod beneath, that looketh towards the nether joining, that the rational may be fitted with the ephod,	27 Stelle zwei weitere goldene Ringe her und bringe sie auf den beiden Schulterstücken des Ephod unten an, an seiner vorderen Seite nahe der Stelle, wo es zusammengefügt ist, oberhalb der Binde des Ephod.
28 And may be fastened by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a violet fillet, that the joining artificially wrought may continue, and the rational and the ephod may not be loosed one from the other.	28 Man soll das Brustschild durch seine Ringe an den Ephodringen anbringen durch Schnüre aus violettem Purpur, damit es über der Binde des Ephod bleibt und das Brustschild sich nicht von seiner Stelle auf dem Ephod verrückt.
29 And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the rational of judgement upon his breast, when he shall enter into the sanctuary, a memorial before the Lord for ever.	29 Aaron soll die Namen der Söhne Israels auf dem Brustschild des Schiedsrichterspruches auf seinem Herzen tragen, wenn er das Heiligtum betritt, zum immerwährenden Gedenken vor dem Herrn.
30 And thou shalt put in the rational of judgment doctrine and truth, which shall be on Aaron's breast, when he shall go in before the Lord: and he shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel on his breast, in the sight of the Lord always.	30 In das Brustschild des Schiedsrichterspruches lege die Losorakel der Urim und Tummim; sie sollen auf dem Herzen Aarons ruhen, wenn er vor den Herrn tritt; er trage den Schiedsrichterspruch der Söhne Israels auf seinem Herzen ständig vor dem Herrn.
31 And thou shalt make the tunick of the ephod all of violet,	31 Mache das Obergewand des Ephod ganz aus violetter Purpurwolle.
32 In the midst whereof above shall be a hole for the head, and a border round about it woven, as is wont to be made in the outmost parts of garments, that it may not easily be broken.	32 In seiner Mitte soll sich eine Öffnung für den Kopf befinden; ein ringsum besetzter Rand sei an seiner Öffnung; eine Webearbeit wie bei der Öffnung eines Panzerhemdes soll es erhalten, damit es nicht zerreißt.
33 And beneath at the feet of the same tunick round about, thou shalt make as it were pomegranates, of violet, and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, with little bells set between:	33 An seinem Saum sollst du Granatäpfel aus violetter Purpurwolle, rotem Purpur und karmesinfarbenem Stoff anbringen, und zwar ringsum an seinem Saum, und dazwischen goldene Glöckchen ringsum.
34 So that there shall be a golden bell and a pomegranate, and again another golden bell and a pomegranate.	34 Es sollen sich immer ein goldenes Glöckchen und ein Granatapfel an dem Saum des Obergewandes ringsum abwechseln.
35 And Aaron shall be vested with it in the office of his ministry, that the sound may be heard, when he goeth in and cometh out of the sanctuary, in the sight of the Lord, and that he may not die.	35 Aaron soll es beim heiligen Dienst tragen, sein Ton soll zu hören sein, wenn er in das Heiligtum vor den Herrn tritt und wenn er da wieder hinausgeht; sonst müßte er sterben.
36 Thou shalt make also a plate of the purest gold: wherein thou shalt grave with engraver's work, Holy to the Lord.	36 Dann verfertige ein Stirnblatt aus reinem Gold und graviere darauf in Siegelstecherarbeit ein: "Heilig dem Herrn!"
37 And thou shalt tie it with a violet fillet, and it shall be upon the mitre,	37 Befestige es an einer Schnur von violetter Purpurwolle, um es am Turban anzubringen, auf der Vorderseite des Turbans soll es sich befinden.
38 Hanging over the forehead of the high priest. And Aaron shall bear the iniquities of those things, which the children of Israel have offered and sanctified, in all their gifts and offerings. And the plate shall be always on his forehead, that the Lord may be well pleased with them.	38 Es soll auf Aarons Stirn sein; und so nehme Aaron die Verfehlungen an den Weihegaben, die die Söhne Israels darbringen bei ihren heiligen Abgaben, auf sich! Ständig soll es auf Aarons Stirn sein, damit sie Wohlgefallen vor dem Herrn finden!
39 And thou shalt gird the tunick with fine linen, and thou shalt make a fine linen mitre, and a girdle of embroidered work.	39 Webe den Leibrock aus Byssus; verfertige den Turban aus Byssus, und den Gürtel wirke in Buntwirkerarbeit!
40 Moreover for the sons of Aaron thou shalt prepare linen tunicks, and girdles and mitres for glory and beauty:	40 Auch für Aarons Söhne verfertige Leibröcke, mache ihnen Gürtel und hohe Kopftracht zur Auszeichnung und Zierde!
41 And with all these things thou shalt vest Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him. And thou shalt consecrate the hands of them all, and shalt sanctify them, that they may do the office of priesthood unto me.	41 Dann bekleide mit ihnen deinen Bruder Aaron und seine Söhne zugleich mit ihm; salbe sie, führe sie in ihr Amt ein und heilige sie, damit sie mir als Priester dienen!
42 Thou shalt make also linen breeches, to cover the flesh of their nakedness from the reins to the thighs:	42 Mache ihnen linnene Beinhüllen, um ihre Scham zu bedecken; von den Hüften bis zu den Schenkeln sollen sie reichen!
	43 Sie sollen von Aaron und seinen Söhnen getragen werden, wenn sie ins Offenbarungszelt eintreten oder sich dem Altar nähern, um ihren Dienst am Heiligtum zu verrichten; sie sollen keinerlei Schuld auf sich laden, damit sie nicht sterben müssen. Eine immerwährende Satzung sei dies für ihn und seine Nachkommen!
