2 Saraias, Azarias, Jeremias,	2 Sopra gli atti sigillati comparvero Neemia il governatore figlio di Khachalia, Sedecia,
3 Pheshur, Amarias, Melchias,	3 Seraia, Azaria, Geremia,
4 Hattus, Sebenia, Melluch,	4 Pashkhur, Amaria, Malchia,
5 Harem, Merimuth, Obdias,	5 Khattush, Shebania, Malluch,
6 Daniel, Genthon, Baruch,	6 Kharim, Meremot, Abdia,
7 Mosollam, Abia, Miamin,	7 Daniele, Ghinneton, Baruch,

11 Micha, Rohob, Hasebia,	11 e i loro fratelli Shebania, Hodia, Kelita, Pelaia, Khanan,

28 And the rest of the people, priests, Levites, porters, and singing men, Nathinites, and all that had separated themselves from the people of the lands to the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters.	28 Malluch, Kharim, Baana.
29 All that could understand promising for their brethren, with their chief men, and they came to promise, and swear that they would walk in the law of God, which he gave in the hand of Moses the servant of God, that they would do and keep all the commandments of the Lord our God, and his judgments and his ceremonies.	29 Il resto del popolo, i sacerdoti, i Leviti, i portinai, i cantori, i netinei e quanti si erano separati dai popoli del paese per seguire la legge di Dio, come pure le loro donne, i loro figli e le loro figlie, insomma tutti coloro che erano in grado di comprendere,
30 And that we would not give our daughters to the people of the land, not take their daughters for our sons.	30 si associarono ai loro fratelli più potenti e fecero giuramento e promessa di camminare nella legge che Dio ha dato per mezzo di Mosè servitore di Dio e di osservare fedelmente ogni comandamento di Jahvè nostro Signore e i suoi decreti e i suoi statuti,
31 And if the people of the land bring in things to sell, or any things for use, to sell them on the sabbath day, that we would not buy them of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day. And that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every hand.	31 e precisamente: — di non dare le nostre figlie ai popoli del paese è di non prendere le loro figlie come spose dei nostri figli;
32 And we made ordinances for ourselves, to give the third part of a side every year for the work of the house of our God,	32 di non comprare nulla di sabato o in altro giorno sacro dai popoli del paese, i quali, di sabato, trasportano merci e ogni genere di granaglie per venderle; di lasciare tranquilla la terra nel settimo anno e di non esigere la paga di qualsiasi genere.
33 For the leaves of proposition, and for the continual sacrifice, and for a continual holocaust on the sabbaths, on the new moons, on the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offering: that atonement might be made for Israel, and for every use of the house of our God.	33 Abbiamo stabilito anche di obbligarci a pagare ogni anno un terzo di siclo per il servizio nel tempio del nostro Dio;
34 And we cast lots among the priests, and the Levites, and the people for the offering of wood, that it might be brought into the house of our God by the houses of our fathers at set times, from year to year: to burn upon the altar of the Lord our God, as it is written in the law of Moses :	34 cioè, per i pani della presenza, per l’oblazione continua, per oli olocausti continui dei sabati, dei noviluni e delle feste, per i sacrifici pacifici, per i sacrifici espiatori di Israele e per ogni lavoro nel tempio del nostro Dio.
35 And that we would bring the firstfruits of our land, and the firstfruits of all fruit of every tree, from year to year, in the house of our Lord.	35 È abbiamo gettato le sorti — sacerdoti, Leviti e popolo — circa l’offerta della legna da portare secondo la casata, ogni anno, in tempi determinati, al tempio del nostro Dio per bruciare sull’altare di Jahvè nostro Dio, come è scritto nella legge.
36 And the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our oxen, and of our sheep, to be offered in the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God.	36 E così pure ci siamo impegnati di portare, ogni anno, al tempio di Jahvè le primizie del nostro suolo e dei frutti di ogni albero,
37 And that we would bring the firstfruits of our meats, and of our libations, and the fruit of every tree, of the vintage also and of oil to the priests, to the storehouse of our God, and the tithes of our ground to the Levites. The Levites also shall receive the tithes of our works out of all the cities.	37 i primogeniti dei nostri figli e del nostro bestiame, come è scritto nella legge, e i primogeniti del nostro bestiame grosso e minuto, da portare al tempio del nostro Dio per i sacerdoti che prestano servizio nel tempio del nostro Dio;
38 And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites in the tithes of the Levites, and the Levites shall offer the tithe of their tithes in the house of our God, to the storeroom into the treasure house.	38 le primizie della nostra pasta, i nostri contributi con i frutti di ogni albero, del mosto e dell’olio, che noi consegneremo ai sacerdoti nelle camere del tempio del nostro Dio, e la decima del nostro suolo per i Leviti. Questi la preleveranno in tutte le città del nostro lavoro.
39 For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall carry to the treasury the firstfruits of corn, of wine, and of oil: and the sanctified vessels shall be there, and the priests, and the singing men, and the porters, and ministers, and we will not forsake the house of our God.	39 Un sacerdote figlio di Aronne sarà con i Leviti quando i Leviti preleveranno le decime; i Leviti poi trasporteranno la decima della decima nelle camere della tesoreria.
	40 I figli di Israele e i Leviti dovranno infatti portare il contributo del grano, del mosto e dell’olio nelle camere, dove si trovano pure le suppellettili del santuario, i sacerdoti in servizio, i portinai e i cantori. Così non trascureremo il tempio del nostro io.
