1 In his days Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon came up, and Joakim became his servant three years: then again he rebelled against him.	1 Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone, marcha contre Juda au temps de Joakim, et Joakim lui fut assujetti pendant trois ans ; et ensuite il se révolta contre lui.
2 And the Lord sent against him the rovers of the Chaldees, and the rovers of Syria, and the rovers of Moab, and the rovers of the children of Ammon: and he sent them against Juda, to destroy it, according to the word of the Lord, which he had spoken by his servants the prophets.	2 Alors le Seigneur envoya des troupes de voleurs de Chaldée, de Syrie, de Moab et des fils (enfants) d'Ammon, et les fit venir contre Juda, pour l'exterminer, selon la parole que le Seigneur avait dite par les prophètes ses serviteurs.
3 And this came by the word of the Lord against Juda, to remove them from before him for all the sins of Manasses which he did.	3 Ceci arriva en vertu de la parole du Seigneur contre Juda, afin de le rejeter de devant sa face, à cause de tous les crimes que Manassé avait commis,
4 And for the innocent blood that he shed, filling Jerusalem with innocent blood: and therefore the Lord would not be appeased.	4 et à cause du sang innocent qu'il avait répandu, ayant rempli Jérusalem du carnage des innocents. C'est pourquoi le Seigneur ne voulut pas se rendre propice à son peuple.
5 But the rest of the acts of Joakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda? And Joakim slept with his fathers:	5 Le reste des actions de Joakim, et tout ce qu'il a fait, est écrit au livre des annales (actions des jours) des rois de Juda ; et Joakim s'endormit avec ses pères,
6 And Joachin his son reigned in his stead.	6 et Joachin son fils régna à sa place.
7 And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his own country: for the king of Babylon had taken all that had belonged to the king of Egypt, from the river of Egypt, unto the river Euphrates.	7 Le roi d'Egypte, depuis ce temps-là, ne sortit plus de son royaume, parce que le roi de Babylone avait pris tout ce qui était au roi d'Egypte, depuis les frontières d'Egypte jusqu'au fleuve d'Euphrate.
8 Joachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, a and he reigned three months in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Nohesta the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.	8 Joachin avait dix-huit ans lorsqu'il commença à régner, et il régna trois mois à Jérusalem. Sa mère s'appelait Nohesta, et elle était fille d'Elnathan, de Jérusalem.
9 And he did evil before the Lord, according to all that his father had done.	9 Il fit le mal devant le Seigneur, et il commit (tous) les mêmes crimes que son père.
10 At that time the servants of Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was surrounded with their forts.	10 En ce temps-là, les serviteurs du roi de Babylone vinrent assiéger Jérusalem, et ils firent une circonvallation autour de la ville.
11 And Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon came to the city with his servants to assault it.	11 Et Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone, vint aussi avec ses serviteurs pour prendre la ville (l'attaquer).
12 And Joachin king of Juda went out to the king of Babylon, he end his mother, and his servants, and his nobles, and his eunuchs: and the king of Babylon received him in the eighth year of his reign.	12 Et Joachin, roi de Juda, se rendit auprès du roi de Babylone avec sa mère, ses serviteurs, ses princes et ses eunuques ; et le roi de Babylone le reçut la huitième année de son règne.
13 And he brought out from thence all the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king's house: and he cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the Lord, according to the word of the Lord.	13 Et il emporta de Jérusalem tous les trésors de la maison du Seigneur et les trésors de la maison du roi, et il brisa tous les vases d'or que Salomon, roi d'Israël, avait faits dans le temple du Seigneur, selon ce que le Seigneur avait prédit.
14 And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the valiant men of the army, to the number of ten thousand into captivity: and every artificer and smith: and none were left, but the poor sort of the people of the land.	14 Et il déporta tout Jérusalem, tous les princes, tous les plus vaillants de l'armée, au nombre de dix mille captifs, et aussi tous les artisans (ouvriers) et les serruriers (lapidaires), et il ne laissa que les (plus) pauvres du peuple du pays.
15 And he carried away Joachin into Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his eunuchs: and the judges of the land he carried into captivity from Jerusalem into Babylon.	15 Il transféra aussi à Babylone Joachin, la mère du roi, les femmes du roi, et ses eunuques, et il emmena captifs, de Jérusalem à Babylone, les juges du pays.
16 And all the strong men, seven thousand, and the artificers, and the smiths a thousand, all that were valiant men and fit for war: and the king of Babylon led them captives into Babylon.	16 Le roi de Babylone emmena tous les plus vaillants de Juda au nombre de sept mille, les artisans (ouvriers) et les serruriers (lapidaires), au nombre de mille, tous les hommes forts et les guerriers, et il les emmena captifs à Babylone.
17 And he appointed Matthanias his uncle in his stead: and called his name Sedecias.	17 Il établit roi à la place de Joachin Matthanias, son oncle, et il l'appela Sédécias.
18 Sedecias was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Amital, the daughter of Jeremias of Lobna.	18 Sédécias avait vingt-et-un ans lorsqu'il commença à régner, et il régna onze ans à Jérusalem. Sa mère s'appelait Amital, et elle était fille de Jérémie, de Lobna.
19 And he did evil before the Lord, according to all that Joakim had done.	19 Il fit le mal devant le Seigneur, et commit (tous) les mêmes crimes que Joakim.
20 For the Lord was angry against Jerusalem and against Juda, till he cast them out from his face : and Sedecias revolted from the king of Babylon.	20 Car le Seigneur était irrité contre Jérusalem et contre Juda, jusqu'à ce qu'il les eût rejetés de devant sa face ; et Sédécias se révolta contre le (détacha du) roi de Babylone.
