1 These are the generations of the sons of Noe: Sem, Cham, and Japheth: and unto them sons were born after the flood.	1 Voici les générations des fils de Sem, Cham et Japheth, enfants de Noé; et ces fils naquirent d'eux après le déluge.
2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Thubal, and Mosoch, and Thiras.	2 Fils de Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madaï, Javan, Thubal, Mosoch et Thiras.
3 And the sons of Gomer: Ascenez and Riphath and Thogorma.	3 Fils de Gomer: Ascénez, Riphath et Thogorma.
4 And the sons of Javan: Elisa and Tharsis, Cetthim, and Dodanim.	4 Fils de Javan: Elisa, Tharsis, Céthim et Dodanim.
5 By these were divided the islands of the Gentiles in their lands, every one according to his tongue and their families in their nations.	5 C'est par eux que furent peuplées les îles des nations, selon la langue de chacun, selon leurs familles et leurs peuples.
6 And the sons of Cham: Chus, and Mesram, and Phuth, and Chanaan.	6 Fils de Cham: Chus, Mesraïm, Phuth et Chanaan.
7 And the sons of Chus: Saba and Hevila, and Sabatha, and Regma, and Sabatacha. The sons of Regma: Saba and Dadan.	7 Fils de Chus: Saba, Hévila, Sabatha, Regma et Sabatacha. Fils de Regma: Saba et Dadan.
8 Now Chus begot Nemrod: he began to be mighty on earth.	8 Or Chus engendra Nemrod, qui commença à être puissant sur la terre.
9 And he was a stout hunter before the Lord. Hence came a proverb: Even as Nemrod the stout hunter before the Lord.	9 Il fut un violent chasseur devant le Seigneur. De là est venu ce proverbe: Violent chasseur devant le Seigneur, comme Nemrod.
10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, and Arach, and Achad, and Chalanne in the land of Sennaar.	10 Le début de son royaume fut Babylone, et Arach, et Achad, et Chalanné dans la terre de Sennaar.
11 Out of that land came forth Assur, and built Ninive, and the streets of the city, and Chale.	11 De ce même pays il alla en Assyrie, et il bâtit Ninive et les rues de cette ville, et Chalé.
12 Resen also between Ninive and Chale: this is the great city.	12 Il bâtit aussi la grande ville de Résen, entre Ninive et Chalé.
13 And Mesraim begot Ludim, and Anamim, and Laabim, Nepthuim,	13 Et Mesraïm engendra Ludim et Anamim, Laabim et Nephthuim,
14 And Phetrusim, and Chasluim; of whom came forth the Philistines, and the Capthorim.	14 Phétrusim et Chasluim, d'où sont sortis les Philistins, et les Caphtorim.
15 And Chanaan begot Sidon, his firstborn, the Hethite,	15 Chanaan engendra Sidon, qui fut son fils aîné, l'Héthéen,
16 And the Jebusite, and the Amorrhite, and the Gergesite,	16 Le Jébuséen, l'Amorrhéen, le Gergéséen;
17 The Hevite and the Aracite: the Sinite,	17 L'Hévéen, l'Aracéen, le Sinéen,
18 And the Aradian, the Samarite, and the Hamathite: and afterwards the families of the Chanaanites were spread abroad.	18 L'Aradien, le Samaréen et l'Amathéen; et c'est par eux que les peuples des Chananéens se sont répandus depuis en divers endroits.
19 And the limits of Chanaan were from Sidon as one comes to Gerara even to Gaza, until thou enter Sodom and Gomorrha, and Adama, and Seboim even to Lesa.	19 Les limites de Chanaan furent depuis Sidon, en venant à Gérara, jusqu'à Gaza, et du côté de Sodome, de Gomorrhe, d'Adama, et de Séboïm, jusqu'à Lésa.
20 These are the children of Cham in their kindreds, and tongues, and generations, and lands, and nations.	20 Ce sont là les fils de Cham selon leurs alliances, leurs langues, leurs familles, leurs pays et leurs nations.
21 Of Sem also, the father of all children of Heber, the elder brother of Japheth, sons were born.	21 Il naquit aussi des fils de Sem, qui fut le père de tous les enfants d'Héber, et le frère aîné de Japheth.
22 The sons of Sem: Elam and Assur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.	22 Fils de Sem: Elam, Assur, Arphaxad, Lud et Aram.
23 The sons of Aram: Us and Hull, and Gether: and Mess.	23 Fils d'Aram: Us, Hul, Géther et Mès.
24 But Arphaxad begot Sale, of whom was born Heber.	24 Or Arphaxad engendra Salé, dont est né Héber.
25 And to Heber were born two sons: the name of the one was Phaleg, because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name Jectan.	25 Héber eut deux fils: l'un s'appela Phaleg, parce que de son temps la terre fut divisée; et son frère s'appelait Jectan.
26 Which Jectan begot Elmodad, and Saleph, and Asarmoth, Jare,	26 Jectan engendra Elmodad, Saleph, Asarmoth et Jaré,
27 And Anduram, and Uzal, and Decla,	27 Aduram, Uzal, Décla,
28 And Ebal, and Abimael, Saba,	28 Ebal, Abimaël, Saba,
29 And Ophir, and Hevila, and Jobab.	29 Ophir, Hévila et Jobab. Tous ceux-là furent enfants de Jectan.
30 And their dwelling was from Messa as we go on as far as Sephar, a mountain in the east.	30 Le pays où ils demeurèrent s'étendait depuis la sortie de Messa jusqu'à Séphar, qui est une montagne du côté de l'orient.
31 These are the children of Sem according to their kindreds and tongues, and countries in their nations.	31 Ce sont les fils de Sem selon leurs familles, leurs langues, leurs régions et leurs peuples.
32 These are the families of Noe, according to their peoples and nations. By these were the nations divided on the earth after the flood.	32 Ce sont là les familles des enfants de Noé, selon leurs peuples et leurs nations. Et c'est de ces familles que se sont formés tous les peuples de la terre après le déluge.
