1 Parole de Yahvé qui fut adressée à Sophonie, fils de Kouchi, fils de Guédalyas, fils d’Amarya, fils de Hizkiyas, au temps de Josias, fils d’Ammon, roi de Juda.	1 The word of Yahweh which was addressed to Zephaniah son of Cushi, son of Gedaliah, son ofAmariah, son of Hezekiah, in the days of Josiah son of Amon king of Judah.
2 J’enlèverai tout de dessus la terre - parole de Yahvé.	2 I shall sweep away everything off the face of the earth, declares Yahweh.
3 J’enlèverai hommes et bêtes, j’enlèverai les oiseaux du ciel et les poissons de la mer. J’exterminerai l’homme de dessus la terre - parole de Yahvé.	3 I shall sweep away humans and animals, the birds of the air and the fish of the sea, I shal topple thewicked and wipe al people off the face of the earth -declares Yahweh.
4 J’étendrai la main contre Juda et tous les habitants de Jérusalem, j’enlèverai de ce lieu ce qui reste du Baal et le nom des prêtres païens.	4 I shall raise my hand against Judah and against al who live in Jerusalem, and from this place I wil wipeout Baal's remnant, the very name of his priests,
5 J’exterminerai ceux qui se prosternent sur les toits devant l’armée des cieux, ceux qui se prosternent et qui jurent en même temps par Yahvé et par Milkom;	5 and those who prostrate themselves on the roofs before the array of heaven, and those who prostratethemselves before Yahweh but swear by Milcom,

18 Ni leur argent ni leur or ne pourront les sauver au jour de la fureur de Yahvé.
