1 Pour faire la Demeure, tu prendras 10 tentures de lin fin, de pourpre violette et de pourpre rouge, et de tissus teints en rouge foncé, et tu les broderas de chérubins.	1 'The Dwelling itself you wil make with ten sheets of finely woven linen dyed violet-purple, red-purpleand crimson. You will have them embroidered with great winged creatures.
2 La longueur d’une tenture sera de 28 coudées, sa largeur de quatre coudées. Toutes les tentures auront la même dimension.	2 The length of a single sheet is to be twenty-eight cubits, its width four cubits, al the sheets to be of thesame size.
3 Les tentures seront attachées cinq par cinq.	3 Five of the sheets are to be joined to one another, and the other five sheets are to be joined to oneanother.
4 Tu feras des cordons en pourpre violette sur le bord de la première tenture, près de l’attache, et tu feras de même sur le bord de la tenture qui lui fait face.	4 You will make violet loops along the edge of the first sheet, at the end of the set, and do the samealong the edge of the last sheet in the other set.
5 Tu feras cinq cordons à la première tenture, et cinq cordons à la tenture qui lui fait face. Les cordons se feront face l’un à l’autre.	5 You will make fifty loops on the first sheet and fifty loops along the outer edge of the sheet of thesecond set, the loops corresponding to one another.
6 Tu feras cinq agrafes d’or et tu attacheras les tentures par ces agrafes. Ainsi, la demeure ne fera qu’un seul tout.	6 You will also make fifty gold clasps, and join the sheets together with the clasps. In this way theDwelling wil be a unified whole.
7 Tu feras également des tentures en poils de chèvres pour couvrir la demeure. Il y en aura onze.	7 'You will make sheets of goats' hair to form a tent over the Dwel ing; you wil make eleven of these.

9 Tu attacheras séparément cinq tentures d’un côté, et six tentures de l’autre. Tu doubleras la sixième tenture qui se trouve devant l’entrée de la demeure.	9 You will join five sheets together into one set, and six sheets into another; the sixth you wil fold doubleover the front of the tent.
10 Ensuite, tu feras 50 cordons au bord de la première tenture; ils s’attacheront aux 50 cordons de l’autre tenture.	10 You wil make fifty loops along the edge of the first sheet, at the end of the first set, and fifty loopsalong the edge of the sheet of the second set.
11 Tu feras 50 agrafes de bronze et tu passeras les agrafes dans les cordons. Ainsi tu monteras la demeure pour qu’elle ne fasse qu’un seul ensemble.	11 You wil make fifty bronze clasps and insert the clasps into the loops, to draw the tent together and tomake it a unified whole.
12 On laissera dépasser derrière la demeure ce qu’il y a de trop dans les tentures, et on le repliera en deux.	12 'Of the extra part of the sheets that overlap, half is to hang down the back of the Dwel ing.
13 On laissera dépasser sur les côtés de la demeure, pour la protéger, la coudée qui est en trop dans la longueur des tentures.	13 The extra cubit on either side along the length of the tent sheets must hang down the sides of theDwelling on either side to cover it.
14 Pour couvrir la demeure, tu feras une couverture en peaux de béliers teintes en rouge et une couverture en peau de poisson par-dessus.	14 'And for the tent you will make a cover of rams' skins dyed red and a cover of fine leather over that.
15 Les planches de la demeure seront en bois d’acacia.	15 'For the Dwelling you wil make vertical frames of acacia wood.
16 Chaque planche aura 10 coudées de long, et une coudée et demie de large.	16 Each frame must be ten cubits long and one and a half cubits wide.
17 Chaque planche portera deux tenons, l’un à côté de l’autre. C’est ainsi que tu feras toutes les planches de la demeure.	17 Each frame must have twin tenons; that is how al the frames for the Dwelling must be made.
18 Tu monteras les planches de la demeure: d’abord les 20 planches tournées vers le sud.	18 You wil make frames for the Dwel ing: twenty frames for the south side, to the south,
19 Tu feras 40 supports en argent pour ces planches, et il y aura un support pour chacun des tenons de chacune des planches.	19 and make forty silver sockets under the twenty frames, two sockets under one frame for its twotenons, two sockets under the next frame for its two tenons;

22 Pour l’arrière de la demeure qui est tourné vers l’ouest, tu feras six planches.	22 For the back of the Dwel ing, on the west, you wil make six frames,
23 Tu feras également deux planches pour les angles de la demeure à l’arrière.	23 and make two frames for the corners at the back of the Dwel ing;
24 Elles seront placées côte à côte, de bas en haut, à la hauteur du premier anneau. On fera cela pour les deux angles.	24 these must be coupled together at the bottom, and right up to the top, to the level of the first ring; thisfor the two frames that must form the two corners.
25 Il y aura donc huit planches avec leurs supports en argent, ce qui fera 16 supports, deux pour chaque planche.	25 Thus there wil be eight frames with their silver sockets: sixteen sockets; two sockets under oneframe and two sockets under the next frame.
26 Tu feras aussi des traverses en bois d’acacia, cinq pour les planches qui sont d’un côté de la demeure,	26 'You wil make crossbars of acacia wood: five for the frames of the first side of the Dwelling,
27 et cinq traverses pour les planches qui sont de l’autre côté de la demeure, cinq traverses encore pour les planches de l’arrière de la demeure, à l’ouest.	27 five crossbars for the frames of the opposite side of the Dwel ing, and five crossbars for the frameswhich form the back of the Dwel ing, to the west.
28 La traverse médiane qui unit les planches ira de bout en bout.	28 The middle bar must join the frames from one end to the other, halfway up.
29 Tu recouvriras d’or les planches et les traverses et tu feras des anneaux d’or pour passer les traverses.	29 You wil overlay the frames with gold, make gold rings for them, through which to place thecrossbars, and overlay the crossbars with gold.
30 Tu feras donc la demeure selon le plan qui t’a été montré sur la montagne.	30 This is how you must erect the Dwel ing, fol owing the design shown you on the mountain.
31 Pour le rideau il te faudra de la pourpre violette et de la pourpre rouge, des étoffes rouge sombre et du lin fin. Il sera brodé de chérubins.	31 'You wil make a curtain of finely woven linen, dyed violet-purple, red-purple and crimson, andembroidered with great winged creatures,
32 Tu le fixeras à quatre colonnes d’acacia recouvertes d’or, qui porteront des crochets en or et posées sur quatre bases d’argent.	32 and put it on four poles of acacia wood overlaid with gold, with golden hooks for them, set in foursockets of silver.
33 Tu attacheras le rideau aux agrafes d’or et, derrière le rideau, tu placeras l’Arche du Témoignage. Le rideau servira de séparation entre le Saint et le Saint des Saints.	33 You wil put the curtain below the clasps, so that inside behind the curtain, you can place the ark ofthe Testimony, and the curtain wil mark the division for you between the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies.
34 Tu placeras l’Instrument de l’Expiation sur l’Arche du Témoignage, dans le Saint des Saints.	34 You wil put the mercy-seat on the ark of the Testimony in the Holy of Holies.
35 Tu mettras la table à l’extérieur du rideau, tu placeras le chandelier en face de la table, sur le côté sud de la demeure, la table étant du côté nord.	35 You wil place the table outside the curtain, and the lamp-stand on the south side of the Dwel ing,opposite the table; you will put the table on the north side.
36 Puis, tu feras une tenture à l’entrée de la demeure. Elle sera en pourpre violette et en pourpre rouge, en tissu teint en rouge foncé et en lin fin; elle sera brodée.	36 For the entrance to the tent you wil make a screen of finely woven linen embroidered with violet-purple, red-purple and crimson,
37 Tu feras cinq colonnes d’acacia recouvertes d’or pour porter la tenture, les bases en seront de bronze et les crochets d’or.	37 and for the screen you wil make five poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, with goldenhooks, and for them you wil cast five sockets of bronze.'
