1 Wisdom is better than power, and a prudent man is better than a powerful one.	1 ¡Escuchen, reyes, y comprendan! ¡Aprendan, jueces de los confines de la tierra!
2 Therefore, hear, O kings, and understand; learn, you judges of the ends of the earth.	2 ¡Presten atención, los que dominan multitudes y están orgullosos de esa muchedumbre de naciones!
3 Listen closely, you who hold the attention of the crowds, and who please yourselves by disturbing the nations.	3 Porque el Señor les ha dado el dominio, y el poder lo han recibo del Altísimo: él examinará las obras de ustedes y juzgará sus designios,
4 For power has been given to you from the Lord and strength from the Most High, who will examine your works and scrutinize your thoughts.	4 Ya que ustedes, siendo ministros de su reino, no han gobernado con rectitud ni han respetado la Ley ni han obrado según la voluntad de Dios
5 For, when you were ministers of his kingdom, you did not judge correctly, nor keep the law of justice, nor walk according to the will of God.	5 él caerá sobre ustedes en forma terrible y repentina, ya que un juicio inexorable espera a los que están arriba.
6 Horribly and quickly he will appear to you, because he will make a severe judgment for those who are in charge.	6 Al pequeño, por piedad, se le perdona, pero los poderosos serán examinados con rigor.
7 For, to the little, great mercy is granted, but the powerful will endure powerful torment.	7 Porque el Señor de todos no retrocede ante nadie, ni lo intimida la grandeza: él hizo al pequeño y al grande, y cuida de todos por igual,
8 For the Lord will not exempt anyone’s character, nor will he stand in awe of anyone’s greatness, because he himself made the little and the great, and he is equally concerned for everyone.	8 Pero los poderosos serán severamente examinados.
9 But a powerful torture pursues the powerful.	9 A ustedes, soberanos, se dirigen mis palabras, para que aprendan la Sabiduría y no incurran en falta;
10 Therefore, O kings, these, my words, are for you, so that you may learn wisdom and not perish.	10 porque los que observen santamente las leyes santas serán reconocidos como santos, y los que se dejen instruir por ellas, también en ellas encontrarán su defensa.
11 For those who have justly preserved justice will be justified, and those who have learned these things will find what to answer.	11 Deseen, entonces, mis palabras; búsquenlas ardientemente, y serán instruidos. Encuentro con la Sabiduría
12 Therefore, desire my words, love them, and you will have instruction.	12 La Sabiduría es luminosa y nunca pierde su brillo: se deja contemplar fácilmente por los que la aman y encontrar por los que la buscan.
13 Wisdom is pure and never fades away, and is easily seen by those who love her and found by those who seek her.	13 Ella se anticipa a darse a conocer a los que la desean.
14 She anticipates those who desire her, so that she first reveals herself to them.	14 El que madruga para buscarla no se fatigará, porque la encontrará sentada a su puerta.
15 Whoever awakens early to seek her, will not labor, for he will find her sitting at his door.	15 Meditar en ella es la perfección de la prudencia, y el que se desvela por su causa pronto quedará libre de inquietudes.
16 Therefore, by thinking about her, understanding is perfected, and whoever remains watchful for her, will quickly be secure.	16 La Sabiduría busca por todas partes a los que son dignos de ella, se les aparece con benevolencia en los caminos y les sale al encuentro en todos sus pensamientos.
17 For she goes about seeking such as are worthy of her, and she reveals herself to them cheerfully in the ways, and meets them with all foresight.	17 El comienzo de la Sabiduría es el verdadero deseo de instruirse, querer instruirse, es amarla;
18 For the very true beginning of her is the desire for instruction.	18 amarla, es cumplir sus leyes, observar sus leyes, es garantía de incorruptibilidad,
19 Therefore, the zeal for instruction is love, and love is the keeping of her laws, and the keeping of her laws is the perfection of incorruptibility,	19 y la incorruptibilidad hace estar cerca de Dios:
20 while incorruptibility makes us near to God.	20 así, el deseo de la Sabiduría conduce a la realeza.
21 And so, the desire for wisdom leads to an everlasting kingdom.	21 Si a ustedes, entonces, soberanos de los pueblos, les agradan los tronos y los cetros, honren a la Sabiduría y reinarán para siempre.
22 If, therefore, your delight is in thrones and scepters, O kings of the people, love wisdom, so that you may reign forever;	22 ¿Pero qué es la Sabiduría y cuál es su origen? Yo lo voy a anunciar, sin ocultarles sus misterios: me remontaré hasta sus orígenes más remotos, pondré al descubierto su conocimiento, y no me apartaré de la verdad.
23 love the light of wisdom, all you who lead the peoples.	23 No me acompañará en el camino la envidia corrosiva, porque ella no tiene nada en común con la Sabiduría.
24 But what wisdom is, and how she was made, I will report, and I will not hide the mysteries of God from you, but I will investigate her from the beginning of her birth, and I will place the knowledge of her in the light, and will not pass over the truth.	24 Una multitud de sabios es la salvación del mundo, y un rey sensato asegura la estabilidad de su pueblo.
25 Neither will I hold to the path that dwindles away with envy, because such a man will not partake in wisdom.	25 Por lo tanto, déjense instruir por mis palabras, y esto les resultará provechoso.
26 For the proliferation of the wise is sanity for the world, and a wise king is the mainstay of the people.
27 Therefore, receive instruction by my words, and it will benefit you.
