CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAINLXX
A prayer of Moses, the man of God. O Lord, you have been our refuge from generation to generation.1 προσευχη του μωυση ανθρωπου του θεου κυριε καταφυγη εγενηθης ημιν εν γενεα και γενεα
Before the mountains became, or the land was formed along with the world: from ages past, even to all ages, you are God.2 προ του ορη γενηθηναι και πλασθηναι την γην και την οικουμενην και απο του αιωνος εως του αιωνος συ ει
And, lest man be turned aside in humiliation, you have said: Be converted, O sons of men.3 μη αποστρεψης ανθρωπον εις ταπεινωσιν και ειπας επιστρεψατε υιοι ανθρωπων
For a thousand years before your eyes are like the days of yesterday, which have passed by, and they are like a watch of the night,4 οτι χιλια ετη εν οφθαλμοις σου ως η ημερα η εχθες ητις διηλθεν και φυλακη εν νυκτι
which was held for nothing: so their years shall be.5 τα εξουδενωματα αυτων ετη εσονται το πρωι ωσει χλοη παρελθοι
In the morning, he may pass away like grass; in the morning, he may flower and pass away. In the evening, he will fall, and harden, and become dry.6 το πρωι ανθησαι και παρελθοι το εσπερας αποπεσοι σκληρυνθειη και ξηρανθειη
For, at your wrath, we have withered away, and we have been disturbed by your fury.7 οτι εξελιπομεν εν τη οργη σου και εν τω θυμω σου εταραχθημεν
You have placed our iniquities in your sight, our age in the illumination of your countenance.8 εθου τας ανομιας ημων ενωπιον σου ο αιων ημων εις φωτισμον του προσωπου σου
For all our days have faded away, and at your wrath, we have fainted. Our years will be considered to be like a spider’s web.9 οτι πασαι αι ημεραι ημων εξελιπον και εν τη οργη σου εξελιπομεν τα ετη ημων ως αραχνην εμελετων
The days of our years in them are seventy years. But in the powerful, they are eighty years, and more of these are with hardship and sorrow. For mildness has overwhelmed us, and we shall be corrected.10 αι ημεραι των ετων ημων εν αυτοις εβδομηκοντα ετη εαν δε εν δυναστειαις ογδοηκοντα ετη και το πλειον αυτων κοπος και πονος οτι επηλθεν πραυτης εφ' ημας και παιδευθησομεθα
Who knows the power of your wrath? And, before fear, can your wrath11 τις γινωσκει το κρατος της οργης σου και απο του φοβου σου τον θυμον σου
be numbered? So make known your right hand, along with men learned in heart, in wisdom.12 εξαριθμησασθαι την δεξιαν σου ουτως γνωρισον και τους πεπεδημενους τη καρδια εν σοφια
Return, O Lord, how long? And may you be persuaded on behalf of your servants.13 επιστρεψον κυριε εως ποτε και παρακληθητι επι τοις δουλοις σου
We were filled in the morning with your mercy, and we exulted and delighted all our days.14 ενεπλησθημεν το πρωι του ελεους σου και ηγαλλιασαμεθα και ευφρανθημεν εν πασαις ταις ημεραις ημων
We have been rejoicing, because of the days in which you humbled us, because of the years in which we saw evils.15 ευφρανθημεν ανθ' ων ημερων εταπεινωσας ημας ετων ων ειδομεν κακα
Look down upon your servants and upon their works, and direct their sons.16 και ιδε επι τους δουλους σου και τα εργα σου και οδηγησον τους υιους αυτων
And may the splendor of the Lord our God be upon us. And so, direct the works of our hands over us; direct even the work of our hands.17 και εστω η λαμπροτης κυριου του θεου ημων εφ' ημας και τα εργα των χειρων ημων κατευθυνον εφ' ημας
