1 Then David and the magistrates of the army set apart, for the ministry, the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who were to prophesy with harps and psalteries and cymbals, in accord with their number, having been dedicated to their appointed office.	1 Davide, insieme ai capi dell'esercito, separò per il servizio i figli di Asaf, di Eman e di Idutun, che eseguivano la musica sacra con le cetre, le arpe e con i cembali. Il numero degli uomini che esercitavano questo servizio era il seguente:
2 From the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asharelah, the sons of Asaph, under the hand of Asaph, prophesying beside the king.	2 Per i figli di Asaf: Zaccur, Giuseppe, Netania, Asareela: i figli di Asaf erano sotto la direzione di Asaf, che eseguiva la musica sacra secondo le istruzioni del re.
3 Then of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, and Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hand of their father Jeduthun, who was prophesying with stringed instruments, while confessing and praising the Lord.	3 Per Idutun i figli di Idutun: Ghedalia, Seri, Isaia, Simei, Casabià, Mattatia: sei sotto la direzione del loro padre Idutun, che profetava al suono delle cetre per celebrare e lodare il Signore.
4 Also, of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamtiezer, and Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.	4 Per Eman i figli di Eman: Bukkia, Mattania, Uzzièl, Sebuel, Ierimot, Anania, Anani, Eliata, Ghiddalti, Romamti-E'zer, Iosbekasa, Malloti, Cotir, Macaziot.
5 All these were the sons of Heman, the seer of the king in the words of God, in order to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.	5 Tutti questi erano figli di Eman, veggente del re, grazie alla promessa divina di esaltare la sua potenza. Dio diede a Eman quattordici figli e tre figlie.
6 All these, under their father’s hand, were distributed in order to sing in the temple of the Lord, with cymbals and psalteries and harps, in the ministry of the house of the Lord beside the king, specifically, Asaph, and Jeduthun, and Heman.	6 Tutti costoro erano sotto la direzione del loro padre per cantare nel tempio del Signore con cembali, arpe e cetre, per il servizio del tempio di Dio, sotto gli ordini del re.
7 Now the number of these, with their brothers, who were instructing in the song of the Lord, all the teachers, were two hundred eighty-eight.	7 Il loro numero, compresi i loro fratelli esperti nel canto del Signore, tutti veramente capaci, era di duecentottantotto.
8 And they cast lots in their turns, the elder equally with the younger, the learned together with the unlearned.	8 Per i turni di servizio furono sorteggiati i piccoli come i grandi, i maestri come i discepoli.
9 And the first lot went forth to Joseph, who was of Asaph; the second went forth to Gedaliah, to him and his sons and his brothers, twelve.	9 La prima sorte toccò a Giuseppe, con i fratelli e i figli: dodici. La seconda toccò a Ghedalia, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
10 The third went to Zaccur, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	10 la terza a Zaccur, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
11 The fourth went to Izri, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	11 la quarta a Isri, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
12 The fifth went to Nethaniah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	12 la quinta a Natania, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
13 The sixth went to Bukkiah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	13 la sesta a Bukkia, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
14 The seventh went to Jesharelah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	14 la settima a Iesareela, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
15 The eighth went to Jeshaiah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	15 l'ottava a Isaia, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
16 The ninth went to Mattaniah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	16 la nona a Mattania, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
17 The tenth went to Shimei, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	17 la decima a Simei, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
18 The eleventh went to Azarel, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	18 l'undicesima ad Azarel, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
19 The twelfth went to Hashabiah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	19 la dodicesima a Casabià, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
20 The thirteenth went to Shubael, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	20 la tredicesima a Subaèl, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
21 The fourteenth went to Mattithiah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	21 la quattordicesima a Mattatia, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
22 The fifteenth went to Jeremoth, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	22 la quindicesima a Ierimot, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
23 The sixteenth went to Hananiah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	23 la sedicesima ad Anania, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
24 The seventeenth went to Joshbekashah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	24 la diciassettesima a Iosbekasa, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
25 The eighteenth went to Hanani, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	25 la diciottesima ad Anani, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
26 The nineteenth went to Mallothi, to his sons and his brothers, twelve.	26 la diciannovesima a Malloti, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
27 The twentieth went to Eliathah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	27 la ventesima a Eliata, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
28 The twenty-first went to Hothir, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	28 la ventunesima a Cotir, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
29 The twenty-second went to Giddalti, to his sons and brothers, twelve.	29 la ventiduesima a Ghiddalti, con i figli e i fratelli: dodici;
