1 Als er den Tempel verließ, sagte einer seiner Jünger zu ihm: "Meister, schau, was für Steine und was für Bauten!"	1 And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!
2 Jesus sagte zu ihm: "Siehst du diese mächtigen Bauten? Kein Stein wird auf dem andern gelassen, ein jeder wird abgebrochen werden."	2 And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3 Und als er auf dem Ölberg, gegenüber dem Tempel, sich niedergesetzt hatte, fragten ihn Petrus, Jakobus, Johannes und Andreas im Alleinsein mit ihm:	3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
4 "Sag uns, wann wird das sein, und was ist das Zeichen, wann sich dies alles vollenden soll?"	4 Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?
5 Jesus antwortete ihnen: "Seht zu, daß euch niemand verführe!	5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:
6 Denn viele werden kommen unter meinem Namen und sagen: Ich bin es; und sie werden viele verführen.	6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
7 Wenn ihr aber von Kriegen und Kriegsgerüchten hört, dann laßt euch nicht schrecken, denn "es muß so kommen" (Dan 2,28), aber noch ist es nicht das Ende.	7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.
8 Denn "aufstehen wird Volk wider Volk" (2Chron 15,6) und "Reich wider Reich" (Is 19,2), und es werden Erdbeben sein von Ort zu Ort und Hungersnöte. Der Anfang der Wehen ist das.	8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
9 Ihr aber, gebt acht auf euch selbst! Sie werden euch den Gerichten überliefern; ihr werdet in den Synagogen gegeißelt und vor Statthalter und Könige gestellt werden um meinetwillen, ihnen zum Zeugnis.	9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
10 Doch an alle Völker muß zuvor verkündet werden das Evangelium.	10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
11 Wenn sie euch wegführen und überliefern, so macht euch vorher nicht Sorge, was ihr reden sollt; sondern was euch eingegeben wird in jener Stunde, das redet; denn nicht ihr seid es, die da reden, sondern der Heilige Geist.	11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
12 Es wird aber ein Bruder den Bruder in den Tod liefern und ein Vater das Kind, und Kinder "werden sich erheben gegen die Eltern" (Mich 7,6) und sie in den Tod bringen.	12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
13 Ihr aber werdet gehaßt sein von allen um meines Namens willen; wer aber ausharrt bis ans Ende, der wird gerettet werden.	13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 Wenn ihr nun den "Greuel der Verwüstung" (Dan 9,27) dort stehen seht, wo er nicht sein darf - wer es liest, der bedenke es wohl -, dann fliehe, wer in Judäa ist, in die Berge,	14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
15 und wer auf dem Dache ist, steige nicht herab und gehe nicht hinein, um etwas zu holen aus seinem Hause;	15 And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:
16 und wer auf dem Felde ist, kehre nicht zurück, um seinen Mantel zu holen.	16 And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.
17 Wehe den Schwangeren und Stillenden in jenen Tagen!	17 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
18 Betet aber, daß es nicht im Winter geschehe.	18 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.
19 Es werden nämlich jene Tage "eine Drangsal sein, wie dergleichen seit Anfang der Schöpfung", die Gott schuf, "bis jetzt nicht gewesen ist" (Dan 12,1) und nicht sein wird.	19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.
20 Und hätte der Herr nicht abgekürzt die Tage, würde kein Mensch gerettet werden; doch um der Auserwählten willen, die er sich erwählte, hat er die Tage abgekürzt.	20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
21 Wenn dann jemand zu euch sagt: Seht, hier ist der Messias! Seht, dort!, so glaubt es nicht;	21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
22 denn es werden falsche Messiasse aufstehen und "falsche Propheten, und sie werden Zeichen und Wunder tun" (5Mos 13,1f), um, wenn möglich, auch die Auserwählten zu verführen.	22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
23 Ihr aber, seht euch vor! Seht, ich habe euch alles vorhergesagt.	23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
24 In den Tagen nach jener Drangsal wird "die Sonne sich verfinstern und der Mond seinen Schein nicht mehr geben" (Is 13,10),	24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
25 "die Sterne werdenvom Himmel fallen, und die Kräfte des Himmels werden erschüttert werden" (Is 34,4). -	25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
26 Und dann werden sie den Menschensohn kommen sehen auf den Wolken (Dan 7,13) mit großer Macht und Herrlichkeit.	26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
27 Und dann wird er die Engel aussenden und seine Auserwählten "zusammenführen von den vier Winden" (Zach 2,6), "vom Ende der Erde bis zum Ende des Himmels" (5Mos 30,3f).	27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
28 Vom Feigenbaum aber lernt das Gleichnis! Wenn sein Zweig schon saftig wird und die Blätter treiben, erkennt ihr, daß der Sommer nahe ist.	28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
29 Ebenso auch sollt ihr, wenn ihr dies kommen seht, erkennen, daß er nahe ist an den Türen.	29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
30 Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Nicht wird vergehen dieses Geschlecht, bis dies alles geschieht!	30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
31 Himmel und Erde werden vergehen, meine Worte aber werden nicht vergehen.	31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
32 Jenen Tag aber und jene Stunde weiß niemand, auch nicht die Engel im Himmel und auch nicht der Sohn, nur der Vater.	32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
33 Seid auf der Hut und wachet! Denn ihr wißt nicht, wann die Zeit da ist.	33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
34 Es ist wie bei einem Mann, der außer Landes ging, sein Haus verließ und seinen Knechten Vollmacht übertrug, einem jeden für sein Werk, und dem Torhüter befahl, wachsam zu sein.	34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
35 Wachet also; denn ihr wißt nicht, wann der Herr des Hauses kommt, ob abends oder um Mitternacht oder beim Hahnenschrei oder frühmorgens.	35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36 Möge er, wenn er unversehens kommt, euch nicht schlafend finden!	36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37 Was ich euch sage, das sage ich allen: Wachet!"	37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
