1 Am zehnten Tag des ersten Monats im fünfundzwanzigsten Jahre unserer Verbannung, im vierzehnten Jahre nach der Eroberung der Stadt, an eben diesem Tage kam die Hand des Herrn über mich, und er brachte mich dorthin.	1 In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was conquered, on that very day, the hand of the LORD was upon me,
2 In gottgewirkten Schauungen brachte er mich in das Land Israel und ließ mich auf einem sehr hohen Berge nieder. Auf diesem war mir gegenüber etwas wie eine Stadtanlage.	2 and brought me in the visions of God into the land of Israel, and set me down upon a very high mountain, on which was a structure like a city opposite me.
3 Er führte mich dorthin, und siehe, da war ein Mann, der ein Aussehen wie von Erz hatte; er trug eine Leinenschnur und eine Meßrute in seiner Hand. Er hatte am Tor Aufstellung genommen.	3 When he brought me there, behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like bronze, with a line of flax and a measuring reed in his hand; and he was standing in the gateway.
4 Der Mann sprach zu mir: "Menschensohn, schau mit deinen Augen und vernimm mit deinen Ohren! Richte deine Aufmerksamkeit auf alles, was ich dir zeigen will; denn damit man es dich sehen lasse, wurdest du hierhergebracht. Alles, was du schaust, melde dem Hause Israel!"	4 And the man said to me, "Son of man, look with your eyes, and hear with your ears, and set your mind upon all that I shall show you, for you were brought here in order that I might show it to you; declare all that you see to the house of Israel."
5 Da war nun eine Mauer zu sehen, die von außen ringsum den Tempel umgab. In der Hand des Mannes befand sich eine Meßrute von sechs Ellen, die Elle zu einer (gewöhnlichen) Elle und einer Handbreite gerechnet. Er maß die Breite des Bauwerkes: eine Rute, und die Höhe: eine Rute.	5 And behold, there was a wall all around the outside of the temple area, and the length of the measuring reed in the man's hand was six long cubits, each being a cubit and a handbreadth in length; so he measured the thickness of the wall, one reed; and the height, one reed.
6 Dann trat er in das Tor, dessen Vorderseite nach Osten schaute, stieg sieben Stufen hinauf und maß die Schwelle des Tores ab: eine Rute in der Breite [, und die Schwelle: eine Rute in der Breite].	6 Then he went into the gateway facing east, going up its steps, and measured the threshold of the gate, one reed deep;
7 Dazu die Nische: eine Rute lang und eine Rute tief, den Pfeiler zwischen den Nischen: fünf Ellen, und die zweite Nische: eine Rute lang und eine Rute tief, und den Pfeiler: fünf Ellen, und die dritte Nische: eine Rute lang und eine Rute tief, und die Schwelle des Tores neben der Vorhalle des Tores auf der Innenseite: eine Rute.	7 and the side rooms, one reed long, and one reed broad; and the space between the side rooms, five cubits; and the threshold of the gate by the vestibule of the gate at the inner end, one reed.
8 Dann maß er die Vorhalle des Tores [auf der inneren Seite: eine Rute.	8 Then he measured the vestibule of the gateway, eight cubits;
9 Er maß die Vorhalle des Tores]: acht Ellen, und ihre Pfeiler: zwei Ellen. Die Vorhalle des Tores aber lag einwärts gerichtet.	9 and its jambs, two cubits; and the vestibule of the gate was at the inner end.
10 Die Nischen des Tores lagen einander gegenüber: drei auf der einen und drei auf der anderen Seite; alle drei hatten das gleiche Maß. Auch die Pfeiler auf beiden Seiten hatten das gleiche Maß.	10 And there were three side rooms on either side of the east gate; the three were of the same size; and the jambs on either side were of the same size.
11 Dann maß er die Breite des Toreingangs ab: zehn Ellen, und die Länge des Tores: dreizehn Ellen.	11 Then he measured the breadth of the opening of the gateway, ten cubits; and the breadth of the gateway, thirteen cubits.
12 Vor den Nischen befand sich eine Einfriedung, je eine Elle breit auf der einen wie auf der anderen Seite; die Nische aber maß sechs Ellen auf der einen und sechs Ellen auf der anderen Seite.	12 There was a barrier before the side rooms, one cubit on either side; and the side rooms were six cubits on either side.
13 Dann maß er das Tor vom Flachdach der Nische bis zum gegenüberliegenden Flachdach. Die Breite betrug fünfundzwanzig Ellen von einem Eingang zum anderen.	13 Then he measured the gate from the back of the one side room to the back of the other, a breadth of five and twenty cubits, from door to door.
14 Dann maß er die Vorhalle ab: zwanzig Ellen. An die Vorhalle stieß ringsum der Vorhof.	14 He measured also the vestibule, twenty cubits; and round about the vestibule of the gateway was the court.
15 Von der Vorderseite des Toreinganges bis zur inneren Vorderseite der Vorhalle des Tores waren es fünfzig Ellen.	15 From the front of the gate at the entrance to the end of the inner vestibule of the gate was fifty cubits.
16 Das Tor hatte ringsum Gitterfenster an den Nischen und an ihren Pfeilern nach innen zu; ebenso hatte die Vorhalle ringsum Fenster nach innen zu, und an den Pfeilern waren Palmverzierungen auf beiden Seiten.	16 And the gateway had windows round about, narrowing inwards into their jambs in the side rooms, and likewise the vestibule had windows round about inside, and on the jambs were palm trees.
17 Dann führte er mich in den äußeren Vorhof, und siehe, da waren Zellen und ein Steinpflaster auf dem Vorhof ringsum; auf dem Steinpflaster standen dreißig Zellen.	17 Then he brought me into the outer court; and behold, there were chambers and a pavement, round about the court; thirty chambers fronted on the pavement.
18 Das Pflaster befand sich seitlich der Tore und stimmte mit der Länge der Tore überein. Das war das untere Steinpflaster.	18 And the pavement ran along the side of the gates, corresponding to the length of the gates; this was the lower pavement.
19 Dann maß er die Breite des Vorhofes von der vorderen Seite des unteren Tores bis zur vorderen Seite des inneren Tores nach auswärts: hundert Ellen. Dann brachte er mich nach Norden.	19 Then he measured the distance from the inner front of the lower gate to the outer front of the inner court, a hundred cubits. Then he went before me to the north,
20 Und siehe, da war ein Tor, dessen vordere Seite in nördlicher Richtung zum äußeren Vorhofe lag. Er maß seine Länge und seine Breite.	20 and behold, there was a gate which faced toward the north, belonging to the outer court. He measured its length and its breadth.
21 Seine Nischen, drei auf der einen und drei auf der anderen Seite, seine Pfeiler und seine Vorhalle maßen genauso viel wie das ersterwähnte Tor: fünfzig Ellen in der Länge und fünfundzwanzig Ellen in der Breite.	21 Its side rooms, three on either side, and its jambs and its vestibule were of the same size as those of the first gate; its length was fifty cubits, and its breadth twenty-five cubits.
22 Seine Fenster, seine Vorhalle und seine Palmverzierungen hatten dasselbe Maß wie bei dem Tor, dessen Vorderseite nach Osten schaute. Auf sieben Stufen stieg man zu ihm hinauf; seine Vorhalle aber lag nach innen zu.	22 And its windows, its vestibule, and its palm trees were of the same size as those of the gate which faced toward the east; and seven steps led up to it; and its vestibule was on the inside.
23 Auch das Tor zum inneren Vorhof gegenüber dem Nordhof sah wie das Osttor aus. Der Mann maß von einem Tor zum anderen hundert Ellen.	23 And opposite the gate on the north, as on the east, was a gate to the inner court; and he measured from gate to gate, a hundred cubits.
24 Er führte mich sodann in südliche Richtung, und siehe, da war ein nach Süden gerichtetes Tor. Er maß seine Nischen, seine Pfeiler und seine Vorhalle; es waren dieselben Maße.	24 And he led me toward the south, and behold, there was a gate on the south; and he measured its jambs and its vestibule; they had the same size as the others.
25 Es hatte ringsherum Fenster, wie auch seine Vorhalle, gleich den oben genannten Fenstern, fünfzig Ellen betrug die Länge und fünfundzwanzig Ellen die Breite.	25 And there were windows round about in it and in its vestibule, like the windows of the others; its length was fifty cubits, and its breadth twenty-five cubits.
26 Auf sieben Stufen stieg man zu ihm hinauf, und seine Vorhalle lag nach innen zu, ebenso hatte es Palmverzierungen, eine auf der einen und eine auf der anderen Seite der Pfeiler.	26 And there were seven steps leading up to it, and its vestibule was on the inside; and it had palm trees on its jambs, one on either side.
27 Auch das Tor zum inneren Vorhof schaute in südlicher Richtung. Er maß von einem Tor zum anderen in südlicher Richtung hundert Ellen.	27 And there was a gate on the south of the inner court; and he measured from gate to gate toward the south, a hundred cubits.
28 Dann brachte er mich zu dem inneren Vorhof durch das südliche Tor. Er maß das Südtor; es hatte dieselben Maße.	28 Then he brought me to the inner court by the south gate, and he measured the south gate; it was of the same size as the others;
29 Seine Nischen, seine Pfeiler und seine Vorhalle hatten die gleichen Maße. Es hatte Fenster ringsum, wie auch seine Vorhalle; fünfzig Ellen betrug die Länge und fünfundzwanzig Ellen die Breite.	29 Its side rooms, its jambs, and its vestibule were of the same size as the others; and there were windows round about in it and in its vestibule; its length was fifty cubits, and its breadth twenty-five cubits.
30 [Die Vorhallen ringsum: fünfundzwanzig Ellen lang und fünf Ellen breit.]	30 And there were vestibules round about, twenty-five cubits long and five cubits broad.
31 Seine Vorhalle aber lag in der Richtung des äußeren Vorhofes. Palmverzierungen waren an seinen Pfeilern; sein Aufgang bestand aus acht Stufen.	31 Its vestibule faced the outer court, and palm trees were on its jambs, and its stairway had eight steps.
32 Dann brachte er mich zu dem Tor, das in östlicher Richtung lag. Er maß das Tor: es hatte dieselben Maße.	32 Then he brought me to the inner court on the east side, and he measured the gate; it was of the same size as the others.
33 Auch seine Nischen, seine Pfeiler und seine Vorhalle hatten dieselben Maße. Es hatte ringsum Fenster, wie auch seine Vorhalle; die Länge war fünfzig Ellen und die Breite fünfundzwanzig Ellen.	33 Its side rooms, its jambs, and its vestibule were of the same size as the others; and there were windows round about in it and in its vestibule; its length was fifty cubits, and its breadth twenty-five cubits.

35 Dann brachte er mich zu dem nördlichen Tor. Er maß es, und es hatte dieselben Maße.	35 Then he brought me to the north gate, and he measured it; it had the same size as the others.
36 Auch seine Nischen, seine Pfeiler und seine Vorhalle hatten die gleichen Maße. Es hatte ringsum Fenster, wie auch seine Vorhalle; die Länge betrug fünfzig Ellen und die Breite fünfundzwanzig Ellen.	36 Its side rooms, its jambs, and its vestibule were of the same size as the others; and it had windows round about; its length was fifty cubits, and its breadth twenty-five cubits.
37 Seine Vorhalle lag in Richtung des äußeren Vorhofes. Palmverzierungen waren an seinen Pfeilern auf beiden Seiten; sein Aufgang bestand aus acht Stufen.	37 Its vestibule faced the outer court, and it had palm trees on its jambs, one on either side; and its stairway had eight steps.
38 Auch eine Zelle war vorhanden, deren Zugang an den Torpfeilern lag; dort spült man das Brandopfer ab.	38 There was a chamber with its door in the vestibule of the gate, where the burnt offering was to be washed.
39 In der Vorhalle des Tores waren zwei Tische auf der einen und zwei Tische auf der anderen Seite; hier sollen Brandopfer, Sündopfer und Schuldopfer geschlachtet werden.	39 And in the vestibule of the gate were two tables on either side, on which the burnt offering and the sin offering and the guilt offering were to be slaughtered.
40 An der äußeren Seitenwand, für den, der zum Toreingang hinaufstieg, nördlich gelegen, waren zwei Tische. An der anderen Außenwand der Vorhalle des Tores gab es gleichfalls zwei Tische,	40 And on the outside of the vestibule at the entrance of the north gate were two tables; and on the other side of the vestibule of the gate were two tables.
41 also vier Tische auf der einen und vier Tische auf der anderen Seite neben dem Tor, zusammen acht Tische, auf denen man das Schlachtopfer herrichtet.	41 Four tables were on the inside, and four tables on the outside of the side of the gate, eight tables, on which the sacrifices were to be slaughtered.
42 Die vier Tische für das Brandopfer waren Quadersteine, eineinhalb Ellen lang, eineinhalb Ellen breit und eine Elle hoch; darauf legt man die Geräte zum Schlachten der Brand- und Schlachtopfer.	42 And there were also four tables of hewn stone for the burnt offering, a cubit and a half long, and a cubit and a half broad, and one cubit high, on which the instruments were to be laid with which the burnt offerings and the sacrifices were slaughtered.
43 Auch war ein Rand von einer Handbreite nach innen zu ringsum angebracht; über den Tischen war ein Überdach, welches das Opferfleisch vor Regen und Hitze schützen sollte.	43 And hooks, a handbreadth long, were fastened round about within. And on the tables the flesh of the offering was to be laid.
44 Dann führte er mich in den inneren Vorhof, und siehe, da waren zwei Zellen im inneren Vorhof, eine an der Seitenwand des Nordtores, dessen Vorderseite nach Süden wies, und die andere an der Seitenwand des Südtores, dessen Vorderseite nach Norden wies.	44 Then he brought me from without into the inner court, and behold, there were two chambers in the inner court, one at the side of the north gate facing south, the other at the side of the south gate facing north.
45 Er sprach zu mir: "Diese Zelle, deren Vorderseite nach Süden gerichtet ist, dient den Priestern, denen der Tempeldienst obliegt.	45 And he said to me, This chamber which faces south is for the priests who have charge of the temple,
46 Die andere Zelle, deren Vorderseite nach Norden gerichtet ist, dient den Priestern, denen der Altardienst zukommt. Es handelt sich um die Söhne Zadoks, die unter den Söhnen Levis sich dem Herrn nahen dürfen, um ihm Dienste zu leisten."	46 and the chamber which faces north is for the priests who have charge of the altar; these are the sons of Zadok, who alone among the sons of Levi may come near to the LORD to minister to him.
47 Er maß den Vorhof: hundert Ellen lang und hundert Ellen breit - ein Quadrat. Der Brandopferaltar aber stand vor dem Tempel.	47 And he measured the court, a hundred cubits long, and a hundred cubits broad, foursquare; and the altar was in front of the temple.
48 Dann brachte er mich zur Vorhalle des Tempels und maß die Pfeiler: fünf Ellen auf der einen und fünf Ellen auf der anderen Seite; die Breite des Tores war vierzehn Ellen und die der Seitenwände des Tores drei Ellen auf der einen und drei Ellen auf der anderen Seite.	48 Then he brought me to the vestibule of the temple and measured the jambs of the vestibule, five cubits on either side; and the breadth of the gate was fourteen cubits; and the sidewalls of the gate were three cubits on either side.
49 Die Vorhalle war zwanzig Ellen lang und zwölf Ellen breit; auf zehn Stufen stieg man zu ihr hinauf. Auch Säulen waren an den Pfeilern, je eine auf beiden Seiten.	49 The length of the vestibule was twenty cubits, and the breadth twelve cubits; and ten steps led up to it; and there were pillars beside the jambs on either side.
